Today, half of the washing machines are out of action and 7 out of 10 of the dryers are out of action. It's a very frustrating situation for the staff and for non-commercial customers, and one which has been getting worse for some time. While the cost of a wash is low, I, for one, would be happy to pay more for ready access to more modern and ecological washing.

Be there at opening time and they tell you they can't possibly do one bag of laundry (wash and dry, not iron) that day. They have also, on our first use of them as dry cleaners, lost our curtain because they didn't attach their ticket to our bag. Made out it was somehow our fault! We found it ourselves by ferretting through piles of bags. They have good equipment and it's a helpful location locally for us but I've given up using them as it's hard work and they're not pleasant to deal with. We now walk to Raeburn Laundrette in Stockbridge who are friendly, efficient, quick and similarly well priced.
