So they did X-rays before the cleaning. I have some dental issues which I'm pretty self conscious about. Dr. Motts saw my X-rays and came in the little room I was in and started talking loud ,.or he seemed pretty loud to me , saying I was missing a bunch of teeth. I mean does he think I'm not aware of my dental situation ? Or did he believe everyone needed to hear about my problems? I don't know why he was so mean to me. We told him we were interested in getting a partial. He say more than once that a partial was 1500 bucks at his office. Again I don't know why that was necessary I just know I was embarrassed and I felt ashamed of missing teeth. Now I don't know if he's that way to everyone or he just didn't like me. I decided to skip the cleaning and we paid for the X-rays and left. The X-rays themselves were 400 bucks so thank God I skipped the cleaning or I would have had to pay twice what I expected to. I would rather pay 2000 for a partial than go back to this dentist. I remember how people made me feel and he didn't make me feel good at all. I hope he's not like that with all his patients and I guess he's not or he would have failed years ago.

There are three convenient locations, they offer same day appointments, in office whitening, veneers, implants, oral and IV sedation, and they even work with your insurance. This is a highly qualified, attentive staff at the Shreveport clinic. Also, they are very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. They take the time to listen to my musings, concerns and questions, and explain the details about the procedures they are about to perform. Unlike previous experiences, this clinic readily shows me my X-rays, dental progress and enlightens me about ways to improve my dental health. I never cry nor feel uncomfortable during my time here. Special kudos to the amazing Dr. Fox and his staff at the previous location whose service is impeccable. I found this information from the American Dental Association: "Adults without apparent dental problems do not need dental X-rays of any kind every year, the A.D.A. says. Adults who properly care for their teeth and have no symptoms of oral disease or cavities can go two to three years between bitewing X-rays, according to the A.D.A.". Just FYI, if you are at risk for cancer, a patient should be allowed to speak with a doctor about the necessity of an x ray or scan of any type. Like

I got the "run-a-around" of "We have to see you first before we can give you even a ball park price so let me make you an appointment" So after having to pay for x-rays and sales pitches, it was a GREAT relieve to have been able call up, told them what I wanted (snap-in dentures) and told a bottom line price per implant by a articulate, cheerful young lady who told me what my insurance would a would not do. The office is very pleasant. I recieved anxiety meds (several teeth being removed) and was placed in a room with nice music and a cuddly soft blankee and took a 10 min. nap. The good Dr is very professional and gives you a feeling of knowing you are good hands and it was with very minimal discomfort he extracted 5 teeth and performed 4 implants. They have kerig coffee and bottled water always on hand and have some delicious cookies and sometimes popcorn. Dr. Simpson is so nice and friendly and you can tell truly cares about his patients you aren't treated like a paycheck.
