Boy, did we not expect to see what we saw! Peacocks! Just living their lives amongst this beautiful serene park. Just make sure to respect the wildlife here, as well as anywhere else. I did not approach the peacocks, I waited for the peacocks to approach me at a safe distance. This park is quiet, beautiful, relaxing, and fully equipped with playground equipment for all ages. It also has a volleyball court and nice pavilions that you can rent out and barbecue at. There are even campgrounds out here on the property. There are so many things that you can do here in this beautiful little oasis of a place. Come take advantage of all that you can see and do! Take my word for it. You will not be disappointed.

A monument honoring those who served our country stands tall. Above the monument, our US Flag waved freely on a windy and overcast Monday afternoon. A "Little Free Library" wooden box can be found near the playground. The sign encourages visitors to take a book and to share a book with others.

The springs themselves are stunning--clear, clean, and so relaxing to swim in. If you're not in the water, there are also walking trails where you can enjoy nature and get some fresh air. There's also a snack bar on-site, which is super convenient if you want to grab something quick without leaving. It has plenty of parking and good rest rooms, drinking fountains, and maps of the trail. It is in downtown Apopka off U.S. 441, so there can be a bit of traffic getting to it, but it will help you appreciate the quieter trail even more. There is also a play area in the park and covered picnic shelters. The last time we were there a group used one for a party. A couple of times in the winter we saw they were holding a carnival nearby. For its urban location, it is a fine multi-use park. And check out the West Orange Trail!
