I am elderly and was a patient at Sentinel Health in Lugoff for many years. I chose Sentinel…read morebecause it was convenient to my home. My primary care physician suddenly left the practice, and I was never assigned to another doctor. Instead I was assigned to a Nurse Practitioner who prescribed for me. I had to go in every six months to get blood work and the NP would look over the results and prescribe medication. A nurse took my blood pressure and heart rate. The NP was not qualified to do breast exam or pelvic so I never had one. If there was a physician supervising the NP, I never met the person or heard their name. I asked to be assigned to another doctor. I was not. This went on for a couple of years until two specialist doctors outside the practice that I saw for specific conditions told me that I deserved better medical care than that. I agreed and found another health care provider. Sentinel is not good health care. They weren't caring people. The doctor who left was disliked by many patients (read other reviews). I wish I'd left Sentinel sooner.
