She set up the appointment, with no mention whatsoever that I could not see the doctor for more than 1 item at a time. I don't live close, mind you, but this is the closest dermatologist to where I live, so worth it (I thought). Checked in and had to fill out a book of medical forms. (Took about 15-20 minutes altogether.) Called in to the examination room and was informed by the assistant that the doctor can only see me for 1 item at a time and that I had to choose which one of the 2 items I wanted to discuss. I was in and out in 5 minutes. The initial paperwork that patients must fill out in the reception room beforehand (all done on a tablet) took 3 times as long as I was seen in the office. Now I have to make another appointment, travel a long distance, and pay another co-pay to go back and see her again. NOPE! I felt like Ms. Langston couldn't wait to get out of my examination room, like I was taking up so much of her precious time. Will not be returning to that office. I will make sure my PCP is aware of this office's policies and practices.

They ain't (that's either Northern or Southern lower, lower for 'isn't') going to charge you $100 for an office visit, either. All of the positive reviews are deemed "not currently recommended" to read?? Says whom? I would really like to know. I've never encountered a comment such as this on any other review page. I know of a few really deplorable physicians in Columbia. I will find their reviews and observe which comments are "recommended".

It's so hard navigating the health system when you're unheard and unseen. I share in the sentiment that women's needs seem to be on the back burner. I've heard such great things which is why I wanted to make an appointment in the first place. I'm 14 weeks and have yet to have seen a doctor. Both appointments that have been made have been cancelled by them, the first one within one day of having the appointment. The worst part to me isn't even the cancellations but that you would think that an OBGYN, knowing that many of their clients are probably nervous, hormonal, first-time moms, would be extra compassionate, patient and thorough, explaining the process which is so new. My first contact with their office, being their office assistants, has been anything but that. I've had absolutely no contact with a doctor and what's sad is that I don't think I'll even go here based on their front desk worker, Elma. She frequently interrupted and spoke over me, and one occasion talked at length about her own teenage child that was unrelated to my own care plan. Eczema & problem skin were attributed to "lack of control," rather than discussed as medical condition & symptoms requiring treatment. A requested prescription was refused during a visit, yet the clinic contacted me days later stating the same medication was available (demonstrating Dr. Zimmerman's communication). In contrast, I have seen 2 other physicians at Columbia Skin Clinic and both have been exceptional. While the Columbia Skin Clinic as a whole has some outstanding practitioners, I cannot recommend Dr. Zimmerman.
