In these cases, it is best to get a second opinion rather than disparaging a well-respected medical professional. I often get negative reactions when I diagnose persons with a form of dementia. Many people go into deep denial, especially as there is no blood test or scan that I can point to showing that my diagnosis is spot on. Do medical providers make mistakes? Yes. Medicine is often more craft than science. Does medicine have bad apples? Yes. It is like any other profession.
