Later, the owner responded to my reviews, saying that they do. After I told them I had caught them in a lie, the owner removed his response. Pretty damn unprofessional. Called and left a message with the answering service regarding a billing questions at about 7:30 am for an appt at 11 am. Was told I would be called back and by 9:20 had not heard anything. Called directly and spoke with a woman in billing. The woman I spoke with started off with and attitude right away - I had mentioned "if I have a copay I am unable to pay it today". She responded, "What do you mean "if"? You don't know?". She looked it up and said it was 25.00. I told her that I was unable to make a copay today due to bank fraud and that funds are tied up but that I could pay it tomorrow. She said that I needed to reschedule the appt. I asked if they could hold a card on file and charge it tomorrow - she said she would have to ask a supervisor and left it at that. I told her it was dire that I get in as I had been waiting several weeks. She proceeded to tell me that if I show up to the appointment today and try to be seen and that if the staff tell her that I'm there.... This is where I hung up on her. She bagan the conversation with a disrespectful tone and I was done listening to the disrespect. read more

This place is unsafe. It started off great, I got into a group therapy program that was really helping, and a counselor who was helping me with resources to help me get on my feet. Then, another group therapy member openly suggested, in the group therapy session, that I should date him! I let him know in no uncertain terms it wouldn't happen. The facilitator did not step in, and seemed impatient with me instead of concerned about how inappropriate this was. I called a private meeting with the facilitator and told him I wasn't comfortable, and he was defensive and impatient and gave me the "he's a nice guy" speech! He suggested it was my fault for sharing with the group that I didn't want to date anymore. I was stunned, and went to the counselor who was helping me with resources about the incidents. She was very helpful and said we should talk to the clinical director. It took THREE WEEKS to get a few minutes of her time. In the meantime I caught this guy following me, and I quit going to therapy for my own safety since they wouldn't take any immediate action. I was led to believe the facilitator was going to be in the meeting, and he wasn't. The director stared me down, and said it sounded like the group therapy just wasn't for me. She forcefully told me I was believed and they wanted me to feel safe- it really felt like she was trying to shut me up and get rid of me. Well, it worked. As soon as she sat down next to me and stared at me like she was there to dominate, not listen, I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere. They weren't going to take any action against the facilitator OR the guy harassing me. I was basically intimidated out of therapy that was helping me, to facilitate sexual harassment. I read a lot of negative reviews. I'll give the people who try and contact the facility credit. the center is really bad at returning and answering phone calls.... I should probably give a lower rating but my specialist Dr. Holtzgang has never let me down. I've had to call on an "emergency basis" and struggled to recieve an answer but when they called back they made sure I was taken care of. also I used to have a primary care provider here as well as other services. when I asked if I could enroll in primary care I was told they don't offer that service any more. not sure how to accurately rate the company. I have had my expectations both exceeded and neglected. it IS kind of hit or miss. Love my consistent Doc Holtzgang. always caring. read more

Something has gone terribly wrong with this place! There used to be at least 4 people at the front desk to sign patients in and answer phones. Calls now go directly to voicemail. No return calls so I called back a week later. No human. Days later I called on a whim and by accident got the (new to me) assistant who told me that I would have to be a new patient because I called after a year from my last appointment. How would I know of that deadline? After 5 years of visits with 4 practitioners there. Assistant didn't count the times I called before and hung up! Got a text with no info and 2 weeks later someone called, I answered, they hung up. Was that my return call? It doesn't count!!! Patients ARE leaving not because of the practitioners but because of bad management! read more

If I could give this facility a negative rating I would. These people never return your calls, you can never get a hold of an actual person,and they don't even respond to my pharmacy. I have been trying to get these people to call me back for 2 weeks, as has my pharmacy. The physician wrote my prescription incorrectly so the pharmacy won't fill it until they can talk to him. He is not calling them back or responding to the pharmacies faxes. As a result I am not getting my medication. This is totally unacceptable and I am also going to file a complaint with the State Board of Medical Examiners. What they are doing here is illegal and should not be allowed. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! I called the Neuroscience Center - neurology department - and left my two questions and my phone number according to their pre-recorded message instructions. Their message stated they would get back to me. A week later now ....still no return phone call. I called my primary care physician's office - also in the Sage Neuroscience Center - and left a message with a brief description of my symptoms - as instructed. I stated I needed to see my Dr either in person or via telemedicine, whichever the Dr thought appropriate. Their message stated they would return my call within 48-72 hours!! This is now 5 days later.....still no return call. Obviously they have plenty of patients to see and do not need or want my business. Their lack of concern and consideration for a patient is appalling. Good thing they aren't in the customer service business....oh wait a minute..... read more

WOW- unbelievable. The scheduler Melanie hung up on me in a rude manner after I made an appointment and would not answer the phone. She could not provide credential information about the clinicians nor wait times and put me on the bottom of the waitlist, but the inital time I was put on the waitlist was Feb 2023. I was not rude in any way and she hung up on me. This is important patient information. I don't know if the owner knows this is happening. read more

If I could rate a zero stars I would have chosen that option. I felt incomfortable and in a group member that says Hitler and it not be addressed immediately as a triggering subject. The facilitators did not have a reaction to the name. I am a part of the Jewish community and I am EXTREMELY offended by this course of action. I have to bring it up with the person and they will not bring this up. I have a group meeting tomorrow and they're going to be there too. If I miss tomorrow I'm kicked out of the group. So I don't have much of a choice in that matter. I can't keep having panic everyday I see this group member. I have work and assignments that need to be completed, and panic attacks slow my roll. Thanks Sage Neuroscience, you've made me feel unsafe in my own personal group because you will not address Hitler immediately. Also as a bonus one of the facilitors share screened my e-mail to the whole group. That's some serious privacy violations. So I've been outed to the group, I have to talk to my triggering group member if I want anything done, my privacy wasn't kept confidential, and as a part of the Jewish community I'm extremely disappointed in SNC, they really let me down. It took me a week of calling nonstop and leaving tons of voicemails for them to finally reach out. My doctor messed up and didn't give me the refills she was supposed to. This medication is very VERY important that you don't miss a dose. I finally had to drive down there (I live 30 minutes away) to talk to them in person. They said the "on call" doctor would call in the prescription because my regular doc was out of office all week, and apparently nobody knew about it. It was never called in, it's a Friday night so now they're closed until Monday and I'm without my medication which probably means I'll need to visit the ER sometime this weekend. I've been a patient here for over 4 years, and this place has slowly gone downhill. My therapist just left this place a week ago, my primary doc just left a month ago, and I've dealt with 4 different med management doctors in 4 years. I have been a patient at Sage s ience center for 11 years. I saw about Heather Drager, Dr. Smith, as well as Brian Krum. I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes. I had never been disrespected. They always worked with me and I got excellent care the whole time the whole 10 years that I was there. The only reason why am no longer there is because I moved out of the city. The appt was on video....I was in person....the provider was on a video screen and looked down at her laptop the entire session...never seeing the anxiety in my daughter....the reason for our visit. The only advice/direction/counsel was to go to Psycologytoday.com and find a provider. I could have saved $200.00. BTW I have NEVER until now written a negative review. If you are have mental health issues then you need to STAY AWAY from Sage Neuroscience! I was having some tentatively serious issue and was in what I call a "Deep Funk". They were able to get me in to see someone quickly, Apparently this was an initial meeting to assess and assign the best counselor for my issues. So once I understood what was happening and that I was not going to get any time to address my specific issues I stressed that I would really like to get someone quickly to help. I had asked for a male counselor but told my intake interviewer that because I was in this state that I would take anyone and asked that this could happen quickly. After over a week I had not been contacted. I left a message that I was disappointed that my issues were not taken seriously and asked that someone contact me soon. I never got a call back, It's been 2 months and still no contact. Luckily I was able to get through the pressing issues but it confirmed that Sage Neuroscience doesn't care about helping people. I have dealt with depression for 17 years. I never felt like I got top notch care until I started being seen at Sage. Not only is my provider, Samantha Shannon, absolutely wonderful, you can tell she really cares. Sage also offers TMS therapy for drug-resistant depression and it was a literal life saver for me. Luckily my insurance covered it and it turned my life around. No more constantly having my dosages raised on my prescriptions because they weren't working, no more losing any effectiveness on a prescription after 18 months and now I have peace. I have been on the same very low dose of an anti-depressant for 2+ years now and that has never happened before. TMS truly was a Godsend for me. I have recommended Sage far and wide and will continue to do so. I have also told people to check into TMS and will continue that also. Dr. Sutter has a wonderful, caring staff and he offers cutting edge treatment with TMS. I don't think there is a better place in all of NM for treatment. read more

Best psychiatric care I have gotten. Dr Sutter is very perceptive and knowledgeable, and takes into account my feedback, concerns, risks, and financial means when making decisions regarding medication. I have been seeing him since 2012. He is cautious, but not overly so. I think the receptionists are amazing, I am impressed with their level of coordination and organization in such a large office. They have never made me feel like I was bothering them, even though I am a patient who uses a lot of services, calls frequently, and experiences a lot of stress about insurance / PA forms etc. I think that there has been a noticeable improvement in Sage's reception over time. There are a wide variety of therapy services and providers to choose from, and I felt I got very clear information about treatment options. I can't overstate how much of a change this treatment has made. My quality of life is dramatically changed for the better, and I feel a much greater sense of control over/understanding of my emotions and behaviors. read more

I would give this facility zero stars if possible. I have had multiple brain traumas in my life and was referred to this company by my primary care doctor. When I did my intake, I explained to the individual doing this, that I was trying to set up chair or establish care with a neurologist, but that I was just informed that they also have Psychologist and that I would be interested in that as well. He informed me that he thought it might behoove me to get into group therapy sessions, to which I replied that I wasn't really interested in that. The individual wasn't even really sure what it was that they would be able to help me with, but said that he would work with his "team" to see what they could do. Two weeks after my intake I received a phone call back from this individual saying that they would like to set me up for group therapy sessions on Wednesdays at 4 PM and Mondays at 4 PM to which I replied that I had no interest in doing group sessions, nor was I available on Mondays and Wednesdays at that time. The person doing my intake seemed very dumbfounded as to why I wouldn't agree to go to the sessions or make time for them. He told me that he would like to speak with his team and get back with me. At this point, I was very confused as to what it was that they were really trying to do. He then contacts me back a week later saying that he would like to do personal therapy sessions with me on Fridays at 8 AM if that would work? I told him that I would work around my schedule and get that to work to which I then received 12 messages from the facility saying that I had been set up for therapy sessions for the next two months on Fridays at 8 AM to which I didn't really agree nor did I have any idea that this was supposed to be planned for the next who knows how long, Fridays at 8 AM. When I went in for my personal sessions, I expressed my frustration saying I'm not really sure what it is that you guys are trying to do, but I was trying to find a neurologist and possibly work with someone one on one but you don't seem to really understand what it is that I'm trying to do. Are you actually able to help me with that? To which the psychologist replied I'll have to speak with my team, but do you want to continue with our session today? I agreed ended the session and then was told that he would get back with me about getting with a neurologist. Two days before my next session the following Friday he wrote me back and said I'm sorry we don't have a neurologist at this facility or in our company, but we can speak more about it at your next session. At this point I was very frustrated as I've wasted so much time with this company but nonetheless, I figured I would try to continue with the therapy sessions. When I went in that following Friday I was very rudely told by the front desk person that I needed to put on a mask to which I replied, 'I thought that we were over the pandemic. Why do I need to wear a mask?' And again the secretary very rudely said well, that's what Dr. so-and-so requires for everyone to be seen at this clinic! To which I replied, 'you can go ahead and cancel my session today and my following sessions I'm not going to do this anymore with your company anymore'. I would not recommend that anyone ever uses them. They have no idea what they're doing. They seem to just push people through like cattle. read more

I was also nervous of a zoom meeting but she made is easy. She gave me suggestions over and above medication maintenance. I look forward to having her guide me through my journey. This place has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I have read other reviews and the responses from Sage. One of the responses was something to the effect of "please contact one of our administrators" ... that would be nice however you can't get a hold of anyone here! They refuse to answer the phone and will not return voice-mail, no matter how many you leave. For being a mental health facility this is the most piss poor service I have ever seen! Over 10 phone calls made and 10 voice-mails left without a single call back, and when you call to speak with someone in charge what happens? You guessed it! The secretary sends you straight to voice-mail. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET CARE HERE FOR YOURSELF OR LOVED ONES BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE IT! Absolutely shameful abysmal business practice from business standpoint and from an ethical standpoint. read more

I left a message trying to get an appointment & nothing happened. here it is Mon. & someone from the clinic just called me back @ 4:55pm saying he was returning my call. he asked what the issue was & when I told him I was simply trying to get an appointment, he said he needed to transfer me to someone else. I implored him not to transfer me because they would not answer the phone. he did anyway & you can guess what happened. I called immediately back & it was now 5pm & they were closed. This place is terrible! Awful! Unprofessional! The worst! I went in for my initial appointment 20 minutes early, and I found the 2 patients ahead of me still waiting to be seen. (They told me there was always a long wait!) No big deal so far right? Well, we all sat on aluminum folding chairs for 3 HOURS waiting to be seen!!! As more patients arrived for their appointments, it was clear that no receptionist was there to check people in either-she left for the day! Finally I insisted on seeing the therapist I was supposed to see to ask what was up! The security guard led me back to her office. The woman came out and said she was talking to someone "in crisis." Were we not all in crisis too?! Why were we there at a mental health clinic? BTW She didn't even apologize. That was my first and last visit! read more

The doctors are great but the MA on the primary side is very unprofessional and unqualified and does no follow through with what is asked of her. She makes up all kind of excuses and until the outside professionals call to question does she do anything. It took two weeks to get some medication that should have take 24 to 48 hours. She feels she is the only one who is right and will take no responsibility or suggestion. Extremely frustrating. read more

This clinic isn't even worth one star. I've called for the past two weeks to get a prescription refilled. Left MULTIPLE messages for Mary the head MA at the clinic and I even talking to other MA's who had left her a message for me. I have still not received a callback from ANYONE. The front desk person, Josephine was EXTREMELY rude. She argued with me for at least 3 minutes telling me that I hadn't been seen within the last year so I had to find a new provider, when in fact, I had last been seen there in December of 2021. When she finally figured that out she was wrong, she continued to tell me that I need to find a new provider because my provider was no longer there, which isn't surprising because I've seen three providers since I've started going to Sage a year and a half ago and within that time all three providers have left the establishment. I'm not one to complain but being off of antidepressants for this long is very very frustrating and even more so when you get attitude and gaslighted by the employees. I use to work in a doctors office so I understand how things work. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY or ENERGY WITH THIS PLACE. read more

I love Heather, Marie and Angela. Unfortunately their caring and professionalism does not extend to the administrative staff. I can't make an appointment over the phone because there is no extension given to talk to an actual human. To make an appointment, get refills or a prior authorization approved requires that I go the office, in person, and raise hell. Then yesterday (10/26/2017) the administrative manager lied to me about a PA and then told me it was not Sage's responsibility to act as my advocate with the insurance co. However, they did not bother to call me during the 2 weeks (and counting) that this issue was unresolved; so I could act as my own advocate. If you are not already crazy, this place will make you that way. read more

I just have to say I had the best experience with any hospital/clinic. I called Sage and talked to the billing department. I spoke with a lady by the name of Andrea Louissena. I had some issues with my billing and with the front desk not taking my co payment. Ms. Louissena was extremely pleasant and patient with me. I've had really mixed experiences with Sage over the past four or so years I've been going there. If it wasn't for the excellent care I've received from Heather Drager, Pam Allen, and Deb Kos, I would no longer be a patient at Sage. The problem isn't the wonderful providers--it's the downright HORRIBLE medical assistants. They tend to act like gatekeepers and restrict access to your provider(s). Of course, not all of them are like this, but it's significant enough that I had to write this review. Since becoming a patient there, I've frequently experienced unreturned calls, unapproved refills, and lab orders that don't get faxed to the lab. I honestly don't understand why it's so difficult for these people to do their jobs. It seems as though the only way to get noticed is to call several times. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, right? Most likely the MA's get multiple calls on the same issues from the same clients, which increases their workload so they have less of a chance of getting anything done. Sadly, the powers that be don't do anything about staff's poor treatment of clients. I'm currently on the lookout for new providers so I don't have to deal with being treated as a non-person anymore. read more

When my 11 year-old son broke his collarbone and had to go to the emergency room on the day of his appointment with them, they kicked him out of their system--for good. They heartlessly cited their "strict policy." It's probably better that he didn't see people this awful. It's probably a blessing in disguise. read more

This place and their people may very well have saved my life. If you are looking for safe detox and therapy for all your traumas that led you to doing drugs I give it a 10 out of 10 would recomend. The only reason they get 4 stars is because the therapist I'm assigned has canceled my appointment last minut before and didn't have another available for 2 weeks and that's happened twice. read more

Dr. Sutter has literally been a lifesaver and I do not think I would still be around if it weren't for his support and dedication to his practice and decreasing the suffering of his patients. I have seen over a dozen others in different geographic locations and because there is no comparison In excellence to his treatment I go back to New Mexico every year to maintain my appointments in addition to online appointments through the year. My wife has been here 3 times. The second time they told her that her appointment was an hour earlier than they had scheduled her for. This last time they called her and asked if it would be possible to come in an hour earlier. In order to accommodate them, we both rearranged our work schedules and raced to get here. We arrived between 10 and 15 minutes after when they had asked but still 45 minutes before our originally scheduled time. When we got here they explained that there was a 10 minute grace period that they were going to go ahead and have us honor. They also tried to make us pay even though we already had a credit. Docs are ok but the reception staff is rude, super unorganized and not in any way communicating with one another and well, you read the rest. read more
