And I am so thankful I went with my gut and came to Bienville. When looking for a veterinarian, I have a couple of things on my checklist. Dr. Church came into the evaluation room and immediately greeted myself and Maze. Maze can get a little rambunctious, even with her injury, and he did not mind one bit. Furthermore, he explained in great detail my surgical options for Maze. He explained his recommendations, the reasoning behind his recommendations, and what my options were if I opted for the surgery they personally don't perform. I didn't feel trapped, guilted into scheduling, or like he was after a payout as opposed to doing the work for the love of animals. AMC Hattiesburg, on the other hand, considered a 5-minute call as a consultation. No information on what would be done, it felt rushed, and I felt pressured to give an answer immediately regarding scheduling. They're overpriced. I was given an initial quote by my own vet as to what to expect for this type of procedure. Hattiesburg had the gall to try and overcharge and act as if that was okay and normal. I will pay absolutely anything to get my pets the care they need. They are my children. But I will never allow someone to price gouge me because they know I'll ultimately pay anything over potentially further harming my pet or losing them altogether. Dr. Church at Bienville is kind, he has a warm and trustworthy aura that you can feel the second he walks into the room. I had a few hesitations after reading a few reviews, but I've met the people out here. A lot of them can be unreasonable and looking for a problem to give a negative review. I decided to come with zero expectations, and I'm so glad that I did. Maze's surgery went well, she stayed overnight to be monitored and started on her med plan. She is now home, and acting like she didn't just have surgery. The medications given for her recovery are extremely helpful in getting her to settle down, and I recognize a few of them, so I wasn't concerned with what exactly she was prescribed. The price was in the same ballpark as what I was told to expect from my current Vet. I had my toddler with me and the staff was kind and understanding even though she was having a bit of a personality crisis in the middle of the lobby. Overall, I just felt positive about the whole experience. When you're putting your family member's life in someone else's hands, you cannot be too careful of who you're trusting. And I now know, I can trust and count on Dr. Church and Bienville. I cannot express my gratitude enough, please keep doing the good work, loving the animals that come to you, and stay true to yourselves! Pre-surgery puppy picture tax included !

We asked her to come twice a week to let Marge (Golden Doodle) out, feed her, and play with her while we were at work. We also have a Great Dane who doesn't mind Connie's lovin' either. After Santo's ER visit for his first seizure--32 hours after a Cytopoint shot from this clinic--I called three times (right after opening, 12:45 PM, and 2:45 PM). Not one call was returned. Every staff member gave a different excuse, and no one requested his ER records like they said they would. I eventually got them myself within minutes. To make matters worse, both exam rooms I'd been in were dirty (one smelled of feces, another had a puddle of urine ignored by staff). This lack of professionalism, communication, and basic care during an emergency was inexcusable. I expected compassion and honesty. Instead, I got excuses and silence. I won't be back.
