Albeit on the first night of my stay-- lots of boot noise walking around in the upstairs room right at 6 AM. Be aware, these oil filled guys start the day early! Gym was capable and totally empty at all times during my stay. Breakfast was not bad and they do an evening reception. Comfortable king bed. Medium on firmness. Just right. A/C solid as well. Lots of smiles from staff, housekeepers & the breakfast area attendant. Would stay here again, if ever back in town. Also, the sushi place- Bonsai- directly north (*not the buffet) was good eats !

Whoever runs this hotel must think he is a lawyer or something setting people up for a lawsuit. Never seen this type of thing before and I have been on the road for months on a summer vacation. To make matters worse, there were fleas or some sort of biting insect in the room and I noticed all these dogs coming in. A hotel is supposed to be for humans. Not a kennel for dogs. Having animals in the room is not something we should have in America. Apparently whatever cleaning or mitigation they're using is not working since there was some sort of flea on the couch. People who check the center also filled with tattoos, gross

Plenty of parking, easy check-in, well maintained, modern conveniences. The staff is friendly, the room is clean & quiet. It's easy to plug in electronics, the furniture is comfortable. The air conditioning works. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom. Need to do laundry? They have a laundry room. Want a sweet treat or a snack? Check out the small 'store' next to check-in counter.

I accidentally booked this hotel while trying to reserve a stay in New Mexico, and within 5 minutes of making the reservation, I called to cancel. I was told directly by a staff member that the cancellation would be processed and that any fees would be waived. Fast forward a week later...no refund. After following up, I was met with zero accountability. The owner, Lisa, showed no willingness to resolve the situation, despite the fact that I never stayed at the property and contacted them immediately after booking. This isn't about policy it's about basic customer service and integrity. When a business tells a customer something will be handled, they should stand by it. Instead, I'm now out $130 for a stay that never happened. If something goes wrong with your booking, don't expect understanding or flexibility here. That alone should be enough to make you think twice.

No free breakfast included (as of 12/2014). Despite that, it was still one of my favorite cheap motel stops on our cross country trip. Checking in at midnight consisted of me ringing the bell, no doubt waking up the hotel manager who let me in (and thank God she let me because it was -18 outside) and filling out a form and making payment. The one policy they have which may turn off some customers is they ask to make a copy of your credit card and drivers license for any guests who check in after midnight. The idea of a paper copy of your credit card may be enough to scare off some guests, but I trust my CC enough to know I won't be liable for any fake charges and whether places make a copy or just swipe it...either way, they can have it on file, so it really didn't matter to me. The room was inviting, small, cozy and very clean. It took us a while to figure out how to turn the heat on which was a serious problem because it was -18 outside. Aside from turning the thermostat up, you need to slide it on the "on position" which is a very small switch beneath the thermometer and then you need to also increase the temperature on the vent that's adjacent to the bathroom. They need to have a manual for this or something -- my wife was seriously sleeping in a sweater and vest until I figured it out about half an hour after she was already asleep, which resulted in her waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. Check out was easy and the hotel manager recommended breakfast at the place next door. Would definitely stay here again if I found myself in the area.
