I was very happy with our last agent, but as time goes on and life throws more curveballs at us, it's incredibly apparent that Jake is an exceptional individual in his profession. Without going into great detail, Jake was able to review our home and auto policies, provide suggestions on where we could save money, identified where we were underinsured, and ultimately ended up providing us with far better coverage than we had before. He has a way of explaining the "why" behind many of the policy options and considerations, and puts things into perspective that allow you to make proper decisions. Another thing I would like to mention is how he helped us navigate a situation where someone accidently damaged our car. Jake was right there beside us the whole time, from start to finish. He would respond from the office, from the airport, and from his home on the weekend in another state. His knowledge, experience, work ethic, and concern for his customers are unmatched in my opinion. When I first started there it was honestly great. the staff were friendly and informative. Things have changed; it's become more brusque over the last few years, and frankly I think I deserve better. Example: Last year I received an unpleasant mail from them saying that if I didn't cut my trees and kill the moss on my roof (i didn't even know i had moss, lol) they were going to discontinue my insurance. After 25 years of being a paying customer with one truly miniscule claim over 20 years ago, this is the letter I get??? I understand that State Farm takes actions that puts my agents in a position to deal with the fallout. But when I sent my upset reply about this - and received no response at all -I knew it was time to leave. Unfortunately, out of laziness, I sucked it up and stayed. Then this year I sent 2 mails asking -specifically- whether or not another person was covered if i gave them permission to drive my truck. and what did I get? Yes, indeed: I got crickets. I've had enough. I transferred my account to Dimitri Kondos' office and am looking forward to seeing how that goes now.
