I have a very busy life and had planned to spend a solid day and a half with my mother putting together the invites but that plan was based on us having an easy time printing at home. Needless to say, when I realized this wouldn't work I was panicked. Staples and FedEx Office stores couldn't help me because the smallest stock size their machines could handle was 4" wide... my invites are 3.75" wide. Close to tears I plugged in "print" into my GPS and found East Bay. The woman that answered the phone was knowledgeable and comforting telling me that worst case scenario, if they couldn't use a machine to print my invites they would do a screen print of it, either way they had a solution. When my mother and I arrived there, Jenn the designer took my file and although she didn't have the fonts that I had initially used she promised she would make it work. She also created the RSVP cards for us on the spot- starting from scratch when she realized the stupid stock cards that came with my kit were smaller still than my invites and wouldn't fit in the machine. She gave me a beautiful solution to a very stressful situation- and she did it in very little time! While I live in New Hampshire I would highly recommend East Bay Printing & Copying to anyone in the Warren, RI area and I know my parents, who do live locally will utilize them at any chance they get. Thank you to Jenn and the rest of the staff, because of you, our wedding invites came out beautifully and were in the mail on time!

Unfortunately, the occasion for using Gordon's Ink was not a happy one: I wanted a large headshot blown up for a memorial service. I also had several other photos enlarged, but on a smaller scale. I needed all of this with a four day turnaround and I ended up needing one of the photo scans for the memorial program and Chris was great! I have done some of my own enlargements using Picasa and cheap photo labs and it ended up being well worth it to employ someone to get good quality enlargements. It helped that I had high quality originals, but I was thrilled with the end product. Chris' prices seemed reasonable given the quality. I think we paid $70 for an enlargement from 5x8 to poster size. This included whatever touchups were needed. I didn't compare them head to head, but I know the studio mark, at a minimum, was edited out which was great. Go check out this man's company! If I lived in the area, I would consider getting some of my own travel photos done up for hanging here.
