They've been part of my daughters' lives through so many stages, growing and adapting right alongside them in a way that really feels like family. As a full-time working mom, it's never easy leaving your kids in someone else's care, but this place made that decision so much easier. They genuinely see each child as an individual and nurture them for who they are. My girls were always loved, accepted, and encouraged to grow into their best selves. Even after moving nearly 30 minutes away, I chose to keep my girls here because the experience meant that much to me. Their care, dedication, and consistency gave me real peace of mind while I was at work--something that's truly priceless. I have nothing but great things to say, and I will deeply miss this place. I brought my son for Prek and afterschool care. I was so nervous. I had worked at his daycare from our previous town prior to that. I am familiar with the ins and outs of daycare. I wanted him to go learn to be without me for when he transitioned to kindergarten. Ms. Kathryn and Mrs. Connie were caring and understanding with my son through his emotional and medical needs. They showed him grace and structure. They didn't charge like crazy either! Prices are very reasonable!! Overall our experience with this school was a huge success! Have had my kids going here for the past 3 years and they love it. Staff is very respectful and management is always willing to help if you ask for it. I highly recommend this location if you need daycare or Pre-K for your children! The price for care is very good. read more

My daughter started Sandy's Sandbox when she was 3 months old in Mrs. Kay's class. Her first year that was amazing. My daughter was loved by all the staff up until we decided to withdraw her due to the actions of the director. The director of the daycare was never friendly with us and acted like it hurt her to speak each time she saw us. We ignored it because her teacher was so great. However, once our daughter moved to the 1 year old room we began to have issues. Our daughter began to get bit a lot and in returned learned how to bit back. We brought up the issue to the director and she blamed our one year old for just being aggressive and then proceeded to tell us about a hair pulling incident that involved her daughter who was also in my daughter's class. About month later and there was a post made on Facebook from a person that spent the day at the daycare shadowing/ interviewing. In her post she mentioned that the kids were scared of their 2 yr old room teacher and cried when she was in the room. Our daughter did go to that class room in the afternoon when they consolidated classes, so naturally we asked the director about it. We were met with a defensive, rude, dismissive answer and were never given updates about the situation even though we asked. From the time that we asked about the Facebook post until we took our daughter out there was always an issue. Each time we'd pick up our daughter the director would immediately tell us something bad our daughter did in class. She wouldn't say hi or anything. As soon as we walked it the door to pick her up she would start "your daughter did this today". Now her teacher's weren't sending notes home or having discussions with us about any issues with her so this was frustrating. We eventually couldn't take her attitude towards our daughter anymore and pulled her out. Since she started her new daycare she has had ZERO biting or hair pulling incidents and her teachers and classmates all love her. read more

we were called at least once every week to come and get the kids because they were running a fever or throwing up. When we get home, no fever and never once were they sick "again". Have been at another daycare for two months, not one call. It always smelled bad and seemed dirty. My grandson's clothes would be wet when we pick him up. Their excuse would be they had been outside. They both would be dirty. It's cheaper for a reason. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. This place website STATES that they are following Houston and Bibb county school district. While school is out due to the corona virus. They advise that you still have to pay for daycare. The state advise no gathering for 50 people or more. They are not abiding by that. I've only seen 1 hand sanitizer in there near the staff desk. Lady is so rude and say you have to give a week notice. Think I'm not taking this up the ladder, skipping anyone that is involved with this daycare. State and federal as well as all media outlet. My youngest has been here since he was 6 months old (now 3), my oldest spent a summer in their program before starting kindergarten and my middle stayed for 2 years before starting elementary school. We love it here. The staff is always supportive and are on top with their communication with me about my child. Highly recommend. read more

My child was at this daycare from august til oct.9.... There were several incidents where my child had another childs pacifer..or they had lost hers. Well last thursday i went to pick her up and she had been bitten...not a tiny bite..almost a full mouth...shes 10months old...none of the kids in her class have that many teeth. She was picked up with yet another kids pacifer in her mouth while she was sleeping. She was the only girl in her class til the past few weeks....the other girl didn't have pink pacifiers.my kid had a blue pacifier in her mouth. So i went home and vented on my face book. Well they found out and told me Friday afternoon that they were disenrolling me and my child because i vented to my facebook. When i contacted the owner...all she wanted to was schedule a conference...i dont have time for that...besides this...there were kids over 1 in her room every morning and afternoon...the owner said well yes we combine..but why!!!! She also came home filthy. Food caked in her hair all over her clothes...she was never cleaned after eating. I am disgusted and will never recommend this place. I Wish I would have never gave these idiots my money!!!! read more
