Multiple myeloma:…read more There are a lot of questions that need to be answered by the tests. But that will unfold smoothly. I am a very lucky man to be on this voyage to to be cured of blood cancer/Multiple myelom at San Diego Scripps Grreen hospital, the best hospital that I've ever been in, not that i've ever been in a "Four Seasons resort" Medicare Hospital Supplement. Reportedly, an 85% chance of full remission in the U.S. for Multiple myeloma. That includes everybody in the world no matter what condition they are or their age. I believe that percentage is likely higher because of this Green hospital, the top notch doctors & nurses who selectively work there, and my attitude to have fun while I succeed. Foremost, the "food is to order" and medical service by everyone is fantastic. I've been on "order first"/" sight-unseen" steroids aggressively fighting this for a number of days before I even check in. Oncologist Dr. Bryan Pham was the initial point Doctor for me and is one of the many All-Star gurus of the team. He sat down and hugged me. He knew exactly what to do from the beginning. I love him. On my very first visit to Dr. Pham, he did a bone marrow biopsy. It did not hurt too bad because everything was numbed before the procedure and until the first night. That night was the most painful night of my life once the numbness wore off. That's okay though because they have meds so you survive. I was never worried. Before he stuck the needle into me, he asked me what kind of music I wanted to hear ("Mr. Chin," by the beloved albino Jamaican legend Yellowman" who survived jaw bone cancer in the face) so the biopsy would be relaxing.. Dr. Pham thankfully fast-tracked everything. The wizard, the genius, head hancho Dr. Dimitrios Tzachanis, MD, PhD, magically runs things. "Dr. T" makes you feel you are so fortunate to be among such a mystic, amazing grasp of the overall medical effects and chronological steps. Dr. Michaela Miller "Doctor of the Month" is primarily among other Superwomen doctors who all work with each other and make sure that you get successful anytime treatment and any necessary appointment on the spot at the hospital as soon as possible; it doesn't matter what time of day or night. Noor Qaddour, DO, and Bijan Roshan, MD, carefully show up with hands on in places you nay not think, e.g. lab, kidneys. More necessary checks and balances! There are so many good doctors and nurses, I'm blown away. There are so many top notched medical specialists, I don't know where to stop. They know who they are. They work at Scripps. They are my heroes. Of course, I would have never got here without my wonderful wife or cat. My cat Butters saved my life. Over a week ago I was petting my cat. Then he decided to pick up the love by digging his claws into my wrist, which resulted in a blood poisonous bruise which was clearly infected ( visible to my wife), leading to an emergency room trip to a Motel Six style hospital / hotel. When we walked in, a man was yelling that a truck ran over his foot. I was messed up; I needed to switch hospitals. Everything was properly addressed at Scripps. I have been and will be continuously treated until cured. I have a very positive and fun attitude, a must. I have simply continued to do as told. I have Multiple myeloma (requiring apx. 7 radiation treatments) plus easy-to-do chemotherapy, treatment of cancer lesions in the back, possible bloodclots (which is why I wear compression socks and take a blood thinner, improved kidneys, and important procedures of anything needed on every level. We're winning. It's not gonna be easy or a quick fix. Good things in life take work and time. No pain no gain. The Doctors feel good about where we are now. I am extremely satisfied and feel blessed. I can't say enough. They really care about their 1st class "modern medicine" treatments. The doctor came in and thanked us for being good patients. The doctor always looks at my wonderful wife because he knows she is the one he can trust. She is spearheading this positive direction. I am trying to have fun. If I could just make one person laugh every day. I will.

I had a fall the day prior and concerned I may have experienced a hairline fracture. From the moment I arrived, I was immediately checked in, triaged and x-rayed. My longest wait was to be seen. Yet, even then my wait was probably all of 15 min. More than likely I picked a slow night but not attempting reason for another visit anytime soon...haha... Overall, between the moment of check-in to check-out the staff were kind, caring and supportive. The only thing that stinks is paid parking. All small price to pay for the prompt and expedient service!

Dear Torrey Pines Urgent Care Staff,…read more Thank you for your message and for the care you provided during my recent visit. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to your team. The staff were professional, attentive, and very helpful, which I truly value--especially during a time when I was dealing with post-surgical discomfort. At the same time, I would like to respectfully share a concern regarding patient comfort. As someone who is still recovering from spine surgery, I found it very difficult to remain seated upright while waiting. I understand that wait times are part of urgent care services; however, having a few reclining or more supportive seating options for patients in significant pain or post-surgery recovery could make a meaningful difference. I offer this feedback with respect and appreciation, and in the spirit of helping enhance the patient experience for others in similar situations. Thank you again for your care and dedication to your patients. Respectfully, Tony

The care of the patient I was visiting seemed friendly and caring, tending to her pain level needs sensitively. She did have one nurse that she thought was insensitive to her needs and talked to her in a condescending tone. The last straw was when she was made to feel like it her fault that she fell (patient is a fall risk), so she ended up requesting a new nurse and all was great after that.

The amount of miscommunication we experienced during our stay was outstanding. I came into the hospital 2 days early to have my care coordinated due to a high risk pregnancy and we didn't see any specialists during that time despite asking/reminding nurses and doctors . We didn't speak with anyone about the delivery "game plan" until the morning of so it felt like my extra two day stay was completely unnecessary. Additionally, I experienced a post delivery emergency and was sent down to get an MRI and CT without a gown and with medical patches on and that seemed to greatly irritate the MRI tech. Whenever I had a question I was directed to a specialist (obgyn, neurologist, anesthesiologist, etc.) that would then direct me back to the person I originally asked the question to. And my final complaint is that all the lactation consultants gave me conflicting information. Overall my stay felt sloppy and uncoordinated. I didn't feel very confident about the care received and the billing that followed was equally as disorganized. In comparison to an earlier stay I had a sharp memorial, the experience was night and day. I would avoid UCSD if at all possible moving forward. Sharp care was very organized and much more professional.

All I knew is I felt like I was about to die and couldn't walk and pain places I couldn't explain. They saved my life. For that I will always be grateful. Now 8/10 nurses were awesome. The cleaning staff are always awesome since I just laid bored and people watched. The other maybe two nurses were just a little disrespectful or sarcastic for whatever the reason being that was the only thing that irritated me. I've been treated pretty well when I've gone to the UC San Diego Hospital. And since having Medi-cal I know my options are limited or my stays are like only the 10 days I believe, this last time was life saving. But the current yelp rating being 2.3 average for the Hospital is the furthest thing from true in my opinion. I couldn't even walk to make it to the bathroom and close to death it felt like and was told that it was good I came to the hospital. And maybe my experience isn't a five star but I feel it's closer to five than four. The doctors are awesome. Incredibly informative. Thanks to them and everyone being professional. For being kind. A little confusing for the negative yelps, being good and professional with their profession and character. That's my opinion and experience. Since anyone who does help seems to be Hunted like an animal not always in a positive light, I'll leave out names I remember. Thank you
