UPDATE: I've posted before stating how friendly the instructors are and how clean the studio is but I didn't know how good I had it. The studio recently closed for about 10 days to replace the floor mats. While they were closed, I went to another studio in a nearby city to do Inferno Hot Pilates. It had a much larger space. I thought it was kind of neat, but I noticed that almost everyone did not speak to the person near them. During the class no one made any noises. There was no "hooting and hollering." Even when the instructor asked how everyone was doing, no one said anything. The classes were ok at first, but by the 3rd class it became boring. There are a lot of regular yogis at Sangha. We are friendly and we talk to each other and to the new people if they want to talk. If you're new, you're encouraged to go at your own pace. You rest when you need to rest. We also "hoot & holler." There's a lot of energy in the class that makes it fun. We get energy from each other & the good music. The more yogis there are the more fun it becomes. It doesn't matter if you're what type of body shape you have. No one cares. The regular yogis also come in all shapes & sizes. We're all just trying to be healthy & have fun. The studio is clean. The instructors are always cleaning the floor mats & mirrors. There's no weird odors. You will not be lying in someone else's puddle of sweat. The owners/instructors are super friendly. When I moved to Pacifica about 2 years , I was looking for a Hot Yoga Place , I have tried others, but when I visited Sangha , It was love at first sight. the studio is clean, smells good and the sense of community is amazing , Jami and Jamie are wonderful teachers, they have great sense of humor and great knowledge of Hot Yoga tradition. I've been going to Sangha now for around 3 months, and I can honestly say going to class is something I look forward to every single week. I have tried a few classes here covering hot yoga, flow yoga, yin yoga and a couple of workshops. The studio itself is situated right off the ocean side. The drive over is beautiful and the view of the ocean where the studio at is just breathtaking. Plenty of parking around. Classes are good with fantastic and caring instructors. The owners are so sincere, loving and caring. Very good human beings offering this wonderful studio. Studio is well kept overall with a good vibe throughout. I was visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this gem! I took the 8pm class with Jaime, and his energy was absolutely infectious. He encouraged us throughout the entire practice in a way that felt genuine and uplifting. The class was a shortened Bikram format--we did most poses once with a few repeated twice, which was perfect. Sangha is my favorite and go-to hot yoga spot. From the first time I went, I felt very comfortable. Jaime (female instructor) has always been very welcoming and considerate of our pace and our experience. This class really gets you working and sweating and a lot of the customers are ol' faithfuls; therefore very consistent with their classes. It's always a good idea to show up about 10-15 mins early before class and usually there is parking especially in the mornings. Took the inferno hot pilates class on tuesday and it was so good! before i went, i emailed the owners because it was my first time going there and they answered all my questions which i loved! once i got there one of the owners who is also named jamie lol helped me settle in and was super nice. felt really comfortable being in that class too. he would help me if i was doing a wrong position or if i got lost. he was attentive and had good music too! everyone was very sweet too! after looking for the right studio, sangha was the one for me! parking is pretty easy to find and it's right by the beach too! read more

No matter your fitness level you will be welcomed, educated, challenged, and encouraged. I discovered Inferno Pilates after months of rehabbing due to a painful and debilitating cervical spine diagnosis. As a gym rat, I was devastated when I was told I could no longer run, play sports or lift heavy weights and that I might need surgery. I wanted to find a class that would be challenging and strengthen my core. Prior to this I had assumed I would hate heated exercises, but I went ahead and took a chance and now I can say I'm addicted. My core and back are much stronger. Since taking up the 6-month unlimited hot yoga plan in Sangha Hot Yoga, I have been amazed at the results. In just over a month, I already see an impressive improvement in my body shape and flexibility. Not only does hot yoga provide a great workout, but it also encourages mindfulness and increases focus. It is clear that this commitment to regular exercise is paying off and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get in shape. This place is a true sanctuary! I had never done hot yoga until this year. I felt vulnerable trying it, so I did a little research on Pacifica studios before choosing to try it at Sangha. I can't say enough about the support I received, the welcoming from the owners, who are grounded, lovely people. Just attended my first hot yoga class Sunday 7/21. Jaime was incredibly welcoming to me as a noob, paying careful attention to me throughout the class. I'm no expert on yogis, but all of his instructions were exceptionally clear, and issued with boundless enthusiasm and encouragement. I was looking for a yoga studio near my house and found Sangha Hot Yoga on Groupon then saw the reviews on Yelp and had to jump on the great offer! As a first time student, you'll have to show up to the class you want 15 minutes prior to class to get registered because you cannot use the Groupon code through their website (though after the initial set up, you're all good to book your classes from their schedule on their website!). I've taken the following classes: Hatha Yoga - super ideal for beginners in yoga! I took my friend here for her very first yoga class and she loved it! It was also great that there were only a total of 4 people in the class so there was plenty of space (but the studio itself is a bit small, but everyone is accommodating. Yinyasa - I should have known the class would be slightly heated...? But it isn't suppose to be and it was because the class prior was a Hot 60 lol. This is a great class for anyone that wants a good mix of yin yoga and vinyasa. The moves might come off as a bit faster, so it would probably be best to sit close to the wall so you're closer to the instructor! Yin Yoga 90 min - this class is so therapeutic! it is also one of the more popular classes where there's 15+ people here but everyone staggers and there's enough space to fit a bunch of people. This is a good class for you to target your deep tissues because they focus on holding a pose for 3-5 minutes and you sort of meditate at the same time. It's a killer sometimes, but it's totally worth it. Inferno Pilates - this class should just change its name to Burning Pilates... Just kidding. What a great work out though! My non-existent abs were sore the day after! This class has high reps and you rest for a bit after 3x times so you feel the burn for sure. Everyone has high energy in this class and it's a great group effort! Traditional Hot 60 - oh man. It has been quite some time since I've done a heated class and it is awesome that they have both Hot 60 and Hot 90. 60 just cuts off a few reps to it ends earlier. For those that want to get into heated yoga but don't think they could handle the duration, 60 is very doable and the classes are too packed. Overall this studio is great! The one heads up I should say is that if you are use to doing yoga by looking in the mirror, you're going to have to change your habits and just listen and feel with your body how you're doing your poses. The only class where you are facing the mirror would be the Traditional Hot classes. The other classes either the lobby is the front of the room or the wall is the front of the room (putting the mirrors behind you). read more

I wish I could give more stars. I have never been to a better yoga studio. I'm just ten classes in and have enjoyed the practice a lot. The owners are great people, the people who practice are very kind, and each class is therapeutic for me. The energy the teachers bring inspires me to continue to keep coming back. The studio is very clean and has changing rooms too. I am able to go at my own pace and at the same time get helpful tips too. I love the classes and have enjoyed the hot one, sound healjng, and tonight did a Pilates too. I will continue to show up as I can and am very happy Pacifica has this studio. Updating my review because we'll I moved away a year ago but now I'm back. I brought a friend with me today and we are both so in love again with this place. So inclusive and they are very warm and welcoming. Going to a new place can be intimidating but everyone there is helpful and everyone always has a smile on their face. Since March (when covid19 had hit us), I haven't been going to my ol' usual yoga studio in Pacifica. My general well-being just started declining, lately so I figured I could start looking for yoga studios again that practice SIL. There were a few. But what really impressed me with Sangha Hot Yoga is that they went above and beyond by taking extra precautions. They have individual clear pods where you can still engage with your yogi neighbors and stay safe. Best of all, to my great surprise, I found Jaimie and Jami are the owners at this studio!! This is the best hot yoga studio that I've found in the Bay area, and I've tried several places. I've been practicing hot yoga/Bikram yoga for 10+ years, and I can say that I absolutely LOVE the vibe of this studio and it's teachers. I immediately felt at home before my first class. The studio owner was so welcoming and I could tell was so stoked on yoga/life. It a beautiful location right next to the ocean, so when you come out of class especially at sunset its awesome and it's just so easy to feel grateful after practicing there. The studio is super clean also and the floor is made of this cool hard rubber material that feels really clean and easy to practice on (unlike a lot of the carpeted hot yoga studios around). One of the studio owners, Jaimie, saved me after class one day when my car battery died. He was so helpful and had his friend jumpstart my car! I was so stressed because it was night time and I had no one around to help. He was so calm and easy going and made me feel like it was no trouble at all, no worries. SUCH a great spot! It's not an exaggeration to say that this place changed my life. After years of no consistent exercise routine because kids and life got in the way (by which I mean I was not exercising at all), I found this place on a whim one evening and attended an inferno Pilates class. It was the most welcoming and supportive exercise experience I have ever had. So I went back, and then back again, and then back again. You will not find a better yoga/Pilates studio and I have been to many. I found this yoga studio via Groupon and purchased the month long unlimited pass. I have attended the 90 minute yin yoga and 90 minute bikram hot yoga class. I can honestly say their yin yoga class is the yin class I have ever taken. I was trying to calculate how many classes I would have to take to make the monthly pass worth my money and after just one yin yoga class I felt like I had already gotten my money's worth. Their yin yoga class is unlike any I have ever taken. It is more like a session than a regular class with different essential oils for every pose and a full on guided meditation. I heard their yin class fills up really fast and its better to sign up online first to make sure you get a spot. The studio itself is very small and grassroots but somehow manages a boutique feel because the instructors take the time to learn everyones name and chats with everyone before and after class. There are no showers but there is one bathroom, a couple dressing rooms, a filtered water station, and cubbies to put your stuff into. They lock the door during classes so your stuff is safe. I've yet to catch a beach front sunset yet but I've heard they're amazing. read more

Sangha yoga was a great experience! Jaime was very welcoming and he cares a lot about the students. The studio is also located right by the ocean and you get an awesome view when you walk outside. My first time in the studio I was having a tough time and Jaime made sure to check on me and made sure I was holding up ok. He was even was nice enough to refill my water when he noticed I was out! I discovered Sangha when walking by and remembering that this space use to be a comic book store. Doing hot yoga myself I was a bit intrigued and decided to do a class after meeting Jamie who greeted us and somehow convinced the other half to do hot yoga which she doesn't do. (And I try!) The class was different from what I was accustomed to, there was no music, and there was focus on holding and refining poses, which I enjoyed very much. When i'm in town, i'll have to figure out how to add yoga into my exercise routine with this place because I will return. Thanks! read more
