Of course, I took her to AZ Neuropsychology (also the neurologist, Dr. Kaufman) recommended them highly. I really appreciated the excellent pre testing history and intake process which is critical in my own professional experience (I specialized in innovative interdisciplinary evaluation and care of persons with chronic illness, injury and pain for nearly all of my career.) and personal experience. Also very impressed that a PhD level person administered the battery of tests, versus a technician. This is critical. Next best thing to the interpreting PhD neuropsychologist doing it themselves. Superb intercommunication, compassion, understanding and patience by Shannon their front office and more person. She helped me deal with an urgent issue related to trying to avoid an unnecessary and incorrect denial of coverage by my mom's long term care insurance. Her follow-up and follow through on tasks is impeccable, along with her even handed recommendations and assist in problem solving. Thank you Shannon, especially, for your proficiency and kindness when I was a wreck and struggling to express my needs. Let's see how Dr. Van Doren does with our follow-up appointment coming up soon, which was delayed by us and mom's other pressing healthcare and all the struggle and challenges she and I have had to face with uprooting her into an Assisted Living community. An implant failed for the same reason, and she blamed me. The pain I had to endure for 10 days after she ground the surface off three teeth, then denied it. She glued on two cheap white crowns and forced me to sign for them, before I found they didn't match the rest of my crowns. Then a bridge she had to have known wasn't what we had been working for and forced it on me with a signature. She blamed me for everything she did wrong. Veterans Affairs will have me go somewhere else and i'll have to start over with all the new x rays and inspections.
