Extremely Disappointing Experience with this firm. Very RUDE and completely ignorant to issues. Money minded. Worst Behavior. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but my experience with S----y Tax was so frustrating that I felt compelled to warn others. Firstly, the communication was terrible and never responds on time. I had to chase them down for updates on my tax filing--, and when I finally got through, the responses were slow, unhelpful, and often incomplete. Secondly, their attention to detail was seriously lacking. Despite providing all necessary documentation well in advance, they missed critical information on my tax return, which led to errors and unnecessary delays. It was as if they didn't take the time to review things properly, which ended up causing me more stress and complications. I think , his team members were not knowledgeable on complicated tax issues. For one update , i had to make at-least 10 phone calls and even then positive response was not given to me. The pricing was also misleading. Initially, they quoted a reasonable price, but once the job was done, I was hit with hidden fees that weren't mentioned upfront. This left a sour taste, as it felt like they were just trying to milk clients for more money without being transparent. For every document, he asks for money. Money Money Money... Without that he will NOT Listen and Talk. Overall, I expected a much more professional and efficient service. I will not be returning to San--y Tax, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere ( Ex: --vi Tax ) for reliable tax assistance. Don't make the mistake of hiring Sanjay. They will quote a low price and then keep adding costs for each line item, and you have to pay upfront to even look at the tax estimate. Thanks to the recent reviews here, I saved money, time, headaches and energy. I am aware poor reviews hurt the business. I am a customer letting others customers know how it was like for me, so they make smarter choices about their money and time and are aware of risks. My expectation is that if I pay a CPA, they save me money, time and headaches. They must make no mistakes. My expectation is for CPA to do such a great job, they are confident explaining their customers how they save them money, time and be transparent with numbers. And to call back the customers rather than sending emails sometimes. I am grateful the communication did occur on a daily basis. Their system consisted of sheets with technical language. Turbo Tax does a better job putting tax in common terms. Filling through their system was more complicated and annoying than filling in Turbo Tax. I sent the requested papers and I got asked multiple times to resend some of them. This gave me the feeling the CPA didn't review everything I sent them carefully first time. I wanted more phone calls from them and more leadership especially with deadline so close. Fees were asked upfront before work and before seeing any numbers. I get it they wanna get paid for their work, but I paid for value I do not see. Of course no refunds. I paid 200$ for no value for me and for their work which I saw none of it. Why pay for something you don't find valuable? It's like paying money for a box, without knowing what is in the box after you worked quite hard to make part of the box yourself. Of course I am aware I could be Penny wise pound foolish, but, when you get value, you feel that value in the process as well. If the process if bad, why would the result be valuable? I hope in future they call their customers and explain tax situation better and give the numbers ahead of paying all fees. And I hope they will become better than Turbo Tax and show their value upfront and during the process. I had a much better experience with Turbo Tax for many years now, regardless of how my fluctuating financial situation. This firm is the WORST! I contacted them through a family members recommendation, and instead of feeling privileged they were being recommended they just took upfront money and disappeared on me.. I needed them to run payroll before year end and here I was on Dec 24 with them having done nothing! Meanwhile they made me pay up front $260, just to set me up in their system. LOL. When I asked for my money back around X'mas they said to treat that as Sanjay's charge for a 10 min call I had with him, with his kid whimpering in the background. Most unprofessional and unpersonable and equally bad staff just protecting their interests, with no reason or excuse for the service they didnt provide, let alone the repercussions I faced from their lack of getting my payroll filed. At one point they advised me to reach Sanjay directly and after 3 days of trying was told that probably their phone line was having issues. Simply the worst, pls stay away and save your money and headaches with these wishy washy people. They must have used my $260 to filled their piggy banks, not to set me up in their system. read more

For 2018, my application was pretty simple, but due to tax reforms I decided to get a second opinion and I ended up filing it with Sanjay. His office was pretty busy but he ended up doing it himself, and boom in less than 30min I had e-filed my taxes. I remember it came out a bit better (couple hundred dollars) than what I got through turboTax but not by a whole lot (again that wasn't the reason for my visit). in 2019 my taxes were a bit more complicated than last year and needed an expert opinion. I reached out to Sanjay to see if he could help. I wasn't sure if he can do this remotely or not, mainly due to the on going pandemic. He asked to share the doc with him and I did that through Google Doc. We had a couple back and forth conversation and after I provided the missing docs and paid the fees he filed my taxes immediately. I asked for a couple phone calls afterward to review and get explanations on some parts. He was available the same day and walked me through my forms and explained different sections to me. Overall I was pretty happy. The one part that I believe he can improve is his document sharing tools. He sent the docs back in a password protected pdf which was good. However, I hope there was an easy to use secured system to upload docs. Maybe what's on their website is secured but I'm not sure. Despite the convenience, I was pretty uncomfortable using Google Docs (which was my own choice). I'll update my review next year. :) read more
