We were sad that a place with so many 5-star reviews misled us with the charges, treated us poorly when we tried to resolve, and broke state law in the process. As you can see from the picture of the receipts, the total cost for a given treatment was $377.50. However, the actual charge to us was $392.41. The receipt sent to us didn't even mention the service charge, as you can see - only the credit card printout hinted that we were paying more than shown. The reason for the 3.95% surcharge/service fee? They "don't want to raise prices:, therefore they now pass along any credit card fees (or even debit cards) - which is a sneaky way to do a price increase. They say they disclose all this to customers, that we could have paid cash or check...however we were never informed of this. Note that this "policy" is not in writing anywhere, nor is it displayed at the cashier. So we have paid $14.91 extra every appointment, when we could have wrote checks instead. We called and talked to the owner Cathy to try to resolve, and I expected we would receive an apology, perhaps even a refund for the service charges. Instead, she was rude, insisted my wife just can't hear properly, and then hung up on us! Very disappointing that a place with otherwise good service could be dishonest like this.
