In America, I usually get octopus in chirashi bowls at sushi restaurants, and they've always been chewy, rubbery filler items. Here, the octopus was very tender, the whole dish was an absolute incredible balance of flavors and textures. If I came back to Barcelona again I would definitely try and come out to Premià de Mar just to visit this restaurant again! Because of the reviews we saw online, we knew that El Cable Bar was one place that we simply could not miss. Our bike ride to El Cable was easy. There are plenty of places to lock them up on trees lining the streets leading to the restaurant. When you walk inside, it might be busy, as this is a popular place for people who know about the restaurant. We sat down and were immediately served. Price-wise, everything looks good- not too expensive for drinks, and reasonable for the food. Move any closer to the beach, and I'm certain these prices go up by at least 50% for the same or fewer portions. I happily order patatas bravas, a sirloin and eggplant combo, another eggplant tapas, and fingers de pollo. From the tinto de verano to every last tapas, it was all simple, yet delicious. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Sitges, Spain. It's the perfect way to kickstart your vacation.

You would go up to the counter and order what tapas you wanted (finger food) and then at the end your waitress/waiter would come and tally up everything you ate and you paid the final bill. We got a wider variety of their tapas that ranged from meat to seafood and even different types of bruschetta. All of it was so fresh and tasted amazing. Every time that I visit my hometown I find new modern and hip restaurants, and Cala Boca is one of those: located in an old street nicely gold illuminated at night in downtown Sabadell, is dark and lovely in the inside. I really liked the thick plastic bag where our Albariño wine was served, it was very chic and I have never seen that before. About the food: some tapas were amazing, like the cod based and the padron peppers. However I did not enjoy that much the calamares a la andaluza (calamari Andalusian style) nor the pulpo a feira (octopus Galician style). Calamari were too gummy and the bread covering it was too thick and there was not flavor so I asked for some aioli sauce. As per the octopus, I just prefer it cut in disks and only boiled with paprika and olive oild added, and this style seemed to be a little bit fried and the flavor was just ok. Patatas bravas were good but not awesome, I would have add more spiciness in the sauce, it was too blend for me. The mushrooms mix was very good, i did not even know so many of the varieties presented in the dish. The yolk of an egg was add to the mix and I find it very creative and tasteful.
