Dr. Beaulieu did a remarkable job on a Mohs surge. The welt receded perfectly and the scar is very hard to see, if at all.

I believe this is the first review I've ever written for Yelp. I was compelled to do so because of the excellent professional care I received at the Santa Barbara Skin Institute. Dr. Sengelmann is a true professional. I visited her due to a referral from my regular dermatologist due to her expertise (other dermatologists recognize her as an expert). This was my first visit to the office. Though, I'm typically a no-nonsense, strong woman...I had personal tragic family event related to cancer with my father that makes me fearful and vulnerable of potential cancer on my face. Unequivocally, Dr. Sengelmann and her medical assistant, Sammy Siu, were kind, caring, informative and supportive. They recognized my concern and swiftly made me feel confident that I was in good hands and reassured me with information about the removal of my skin issues and questions. I also took note of the leadership Dr. Senglemann demonstrated with her assistant to talk to and 'teach' her sharing knowledge of best practices and instructing on good bedside physician qualities for her future career. She is a true leader and shares her knowledge freely. I was very impressed. Thank you both for being a caring, consummate professionals! I had Moh's surgery by Dr. Senglemann in April. It turned out to be a lengthly procedure, having over 30 stitches in my chin. Dr. Senglemann was awesome. She did a fabulous job reconstructing my chin. My disappointment is with her staff, specifically her receptionist. She was extremely rude, unhelpful and contemptuous. I had many followup appointments, obviously, and many questions along the way. Having been a receptionist in my past, I do know how to respect each client and support their needs. This particular woman's contempt was palpable, and I will likely never return to the Santa Barbara Skin Institute, nor will I refer anyone there, even though I believe Dr. Senglemann is an amazing surgeon. read more
