It's probably for those who don't want to be distracted by noise. Not sure if this is why the escalator didn't take me to those floors. It's a nice and relaxing place to go to. They even have a dvds, blu-ray, and other media sections from the first floor as well as the children's library room I believe. It can be quite challenging to navigate because there are too many floors and if you want to select books based on genre, you may need to go floor by floor. Inside the elevator, if you look at the top, you'll see text of multiple sections from each floor. Anyways, I think it's a good place for students to study here even though that I rarely go there to study during my time as a student.

It is difficult to report as an official complaint as you know certain people are making you uncomfortable and yet the subtle negative behaviors or mocking mimicry or surrounding drama will not be taken seriously by any authority. However I want to report through Yelp, since if this can happen to me, it can happen to anybody and we need to speak up to stop such nonsense in public places that are supposed to be safe for everyone. The 3 star rating is for the vast collection of books and polite customer service by the library staff.

I met a client here, someone who lives in Milpitas and who reserved one of those private study rooms for us, the ones that most newer libraries have, which is a great thing for private meetings, study rooms, etc. They have several here. This central location makes it pretty convenient for most families and visitors, the large parking garage really encourages you to visit without waiting for parking. Visit you local public library!

What draws our family to the LGL is the beautiful and unique space it's created for little learners, studios students, and the working professionals! When my daughter was little, she loved reading in one of the cozy upholstered circular reading nooks in the Children's Room. Besides books/audiobooks/DVD's/CD's, you could borrow park passes, various kinds of board games, puzzles and kits (such as stargazing telescope kit, pollinator kit, ukulele kit, gardening kit, and sewing machine kit.) Recently, I've noticed that you could even borrow an induction cooktop. They also offer free 3D printing (1 per month), and drop-in tech help. They have a seed library as well. They have a technology lab, and you could reserve study rooms. The library also hosts different events for adults and children. I attended the "Summery Vegetable Success" event in the Technology Lab on Sunday. The speaker, a UC Master Gardener, was very experienced, and her talk was very interesting and informative! I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful library in our community.

It would also be beneficial to have more San Jose library cards for renewal purposes. The staff is extremely friendly, supportive, and willing to assist. They went above and beyond to help my mother with obtaining her library card, showing great care and kindness. The collection of books is extensive, however, it would be wonderful to see an increase in French and Arabic titles, as they are quite rare in this library as well as other San Jose branches. Overall, I have a deep appreciation for this library and highly recommend it to others.

Inside, they have ping pong rooms and group study rooms. The library has many staff members ready to assist and greet patrons. It's also very nicely cool with AC running on hot days like today. I really appreciate that most people here tend to respect the fact that libraries are meant to be quiet. The third floor study room is really nice and boasts an amazing view of the campus. Parking is free on weekends and street parking is available as well! They also offer free 2 hour visitor parking permits (any time after 8 PM is free), and anyone is able to access the library without needing a student ID card prior to 7 PM. Additionally, the Sunstream Cafe is usually open and has a variety of caffeinated beverages & snacks available for purchase. This library is a gem and I love that it closes on the later side.

My son ran to see the fishes and explore which made me very happy because normally he is very shy about new places. He had his therapy here and he had so much fun!
