It's probably for those who don't want to be distracted by noise. Not sure if this is why the escalator didn't take me to those floors. It's a nice and relaxing place to go to. They even have a dvds, blu-ray, and other media sections from the first floor as well as the children's library room I believe. It can be quite challenging to navigate because there are too many floors and if you want to select books based on genre, you may need to go floor by floor. Inside the elevator, if you look at the top, you'll see text of multiple sections from each floor. Anyways, I think it's a good place for students to study here even though that I rarely go there to study during my time as a student.

This is one of the nicest libraries I've been in around the area. This library is conveniently located next to the Central Park. After coming here, it's also nice to scroll around the park as well. The library is huge, very clean, and the staff is kind. Navigating the library is pretty easy but the staff is open to assist and answer any questions you may have. I met a client here, someone who lives in Milpitas and who reserved one of those private study rooms for us, the ones that most newer libraries have, which is a great thing for private meetings, study rooms, etc. They have several here. This central location makes it pretty convenient for most families and visitors, the large parking garage really encourages you to visit without waiting for parking. Visit you local public library!

Came here for the first time recently because I love libraries. As far as those go, this is a really nice one. There are different sections with different vibes, all of them modern and clean. However, I noticed (more like smelled) some homeless sleeping in the middle of the library, with a terrible stench. On my way out, I tell the husky lady in the librarian's seat about it, and she immediately gives me an attitude as if I'm the inconvenience, not the stinky mentally ill drug addicts sleeping 10 feet away from all the children in the library. A great idea and great building ruined by idiotic employees.

What draws our family to the LGL is the beautiful and unique space it's created for little learners, studios students, and the working professionals! Love the tech station that provides access to a 3D printer and their summer reading program which has encouraged my littles to stick their noses into books as their activity if choice this summer! When my daughter was little, she loved reading in one of the cozy upholstered circular reading nooks in the Children's Room. Besides books/audiobooks/DVD's/CD's, you could borrow park passes, various kinds of board games, puzzles and kits (such as stargazing telescope kit, pollinator kit, ukulele kit, gardening kit, and sewing machine kit.) Recently, I've noticed that you could even borrow an induction cooktop. They also offer free 3D printing (1 per month), and drop-in tech help. They have a seed library as well. They have a technology lab, and you could reserve study rooms. The library also hosts different events for adults and children. I attended the "Summery Vegetable Success" event in the Technology Lab on Sunday. The speaker, a UC Master Gardener, was very experienced, and her talk was very interesting and informative! I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful library in our community.

It would also be beneficial to have more San Jose library cards for renewal purposes. The staff is extremely friendly, supportive, and willing to assist. They went above and beyond to help my mother with obtaining her library card, showing great care and kindness. The collection of books is extensive, however, it would be wonderful to see an increase in French and Arabic titles, as they are quite rare in this library as well as other San Jose branches. Overall, I have a deep appreciation for this library and highly recommend it to others.

I really appreciate that most people here tend to respect the fact that libraries are meant to be quiet. The third floor study room is really nice and boasts an amazing view of the campus. Parking is free on weekends and street parking is available as well! They also offer free 2 hour visitor parking permits (any time after 8 PM is free), and anyone is able to access the library without needing a student ID card prior to 7 PM. Additionally, the Sunstream Cafe is usually open and has a variety of caffeinated beverages & snacks available for purchase. This library is a gem and I love that it closes on the later side.

My son ran to see the fishes and explore which made me very happy because normally he is very shy about new places. He had his therapy here and he had so much fun! Yet, my children were "shushed" by the front desk woman for giggling! Meanwhile there was a music and movement class with toddlers happening just a few feet away.
