Established in 1851, this university Expanded to more than 106 acres in the heart of Silicon Valley, it's the oldest operating institution of higher learning in California. The campus surrounded by a Museum, huge Holy Catholic Church, Dobe Lodge, Malley Fitness Center, Music and Dance Building, Arts& Sciences Building, Sobrato Residence Hall, Kenna Hall, Bellamy Field, Huge Stephen Stadium, Army ROTC, Bakery, Cafe, and many other Historical Architectural Buildings!!!! My review is mainly about the most Captivated Mission Garden right in the Center of it all. Gorgeous Greenery, lovely landscape, and absolutely fabulous fragrances in the air!!!! This is my second year of Springtime on Campus. Wisteria, Huge China Roses, Cherry Blossoms Trees, Yellow/White Angel Trumpets, and Bush Lilies are among some of my favorites here all over the University Campus. Absolutely wonderful breath of Fresh Air!!!!!4/15/2025

This is one of the most beautiful university campus in California. The campus is well take maintained and green year round. The most beautiful time to visit is always in the spring and summer. We were lucky enough to attend some events here and able to walk the grounds. There were so many flowers blooming. Absolutely gorgeous! The wisteria arbor was lovely and stunning! If I lived nearby I'd be taking a stroll around campus every day.

Beautiful campus and historic place. I have been here many times and the staff and students are all very friendly and professional. A lot of people I know went here and became very successful. The law school is very good too. They have an excellent cafeteria with many food options. They also host many public events and speakers. I saw a few shows from the drama department that were fun. There's a lot of construction going on, making things better. The new law school building is very nice and has modern classrooms and good technology.

Pretty school campus in the middle of Santa Clara. We walked around the campus and love the garden with flowers and trees.

We've been coming here for the last four years while our daughter attended school. It's a nice place to visit but it doesn't have all the cool and hip amenities as some other universities I've visited. Due to the ongoing C19 pandemic we were worried that we couldn't attend the graduation ceremonies but the county allowed the school to have guests and grads on site.

To be up front, this is more of a review of the Mission Gardens than the actual University itself. Decided to come here while we were in California since hubby and I both enjoy gardens. The gardens are right by Mission Church and are so lovely to look at. What a sensory delight to smell the old-fashioned tea roses! Amazing to walk through the wisteria pergola and to behold the flowers that don't grow here in the mid-west. Oh, what I wouldn't give to grow hydrangeas as large as theirs. So happy to see their garden!

This review is solely based on my experience with a photographer shooting our family for Mother's Day. So please, keep that in mind.... Great place to meet for your session! Whether it's for you and your Bu or a full fledged family, scope this place out! You'll love all you see. From benches, rows of multicolored roses, early 20th century states and architecture, this place was amazing to say the least. Numerous spots for perfect landscape backdrops.

I came here for a campus visit and fell in love with it. I love that it is named after St Claire and that it is the oldest university in California. The gardens and landscaping are stunning and it has a lot of history including of course the mission. The buildings are modern and well equipped. They have really good sports programs and relationships with the tech community in Silicon Valley. A great option for kids entering college.

On a campus visit with the nephew. The campus is empty, however still able to enjoy the beautiful grounds and the architecture. Santa Clara University, a private Jesuit university is consistently in the Top 15 percent universities nationwide.

Gorgeous Santa Clara Bronco mascot statue. The facade of a portion of the library is behind it.

I decided to take a walk around the campus for the weekend to reminisce my time during my master's program. It's a very nice campus to walk around. I'm surprised that there's rarely anybody here. It's as if I am in a different planet or something. Anyways, it's good that they keep the campus clean. It's also convenient for students to live there not only because it's next to their classes, but also they can dine at other restaurants in Downtown San Jose and attend other events around there. The place in a way reflects a Californian image of palm trees and greenery as if you're about to go to the beach or something. Honestly, I would love to continue walking around more but it's just too hot for me to do that. No wonder why no comes here or maybe because it's weekend now. I even saw people resting on the benches and lying down on the grass.

I see the landmarks of this location where past graduates and friends of mine did their photoshoots. Quite a bit of them at this location! Surprised that there was no defining feature of SJSU that makes you think... "THIS is SJSU!" except for the signs saying the name of the school lolol . Could not take a neat picture of myself by a defining part of this college campus. But, I loved the palm trees! Felt very Californian. I also went to this nearby bar with my friend, Austin, and it was super duper cool with the neon arcade games and old-school video game themed drinks. Pricey especially with the 20% gratuity tip populated on all orders to be done online with the QR code at each table. Love the big ahh screens playing sports because you can actually hear what is going on

This was exactly what I needed to get familiar with a professional woodshop and all the essential tools. The class accomplished its main goal perfectly: giving beginners hands-on experience with the equipment in a safe, structured way. Over two Saturday afternoon sessions (3.5 hours each), we made a simple candle holder while rotating through practically every major tool in the shop. We used the sliding compound miter saw, jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, router, and various sanders. While the project itself wasn't particularly exciting, it was clearly designed to maximize tool exposure rather than create a masterpiece. David was an excellent instructor who prioritized safety above all else and patiently answered every question. The class size of about 10 people felt just right for getting individual attention. The woodshop itself is impressive with a fantastic selection of professional-grade tools. Parking was easy and the classroom was simple to locate. At around $150 per person, it's not cheap, but felt reasonable considering you're getting access to thousands of dollars worth of equipment and quality instruction. Just expect to get covered in sawdust! We had plenty of time to complete our project without feeling rushed. This class is perfect for complete beginners who want to learn woodworking basics in a supportive environment. It's specifically designed as a safety prerequisite for their more advanced classes where you can tackle more interesting projects. If you're thinking about woodworking as a hobby or just want to try it out, this is an ideal starting point. I'm definitely planning to take more classes here.

In 2017 the South Bay Campus opened its doors. I cannot say enough good things about EBC. As parents of an extremely difficult child who had been diagnosed with a smorgasboard of conditions--Bipolar NOS, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Emotionally Disturbed NOS, Autistic High Functioning--we were at wit's end. The middle school special education class he was put into seemed to be more of a holding tank than a place where our son could learn, grow, and develop coping strategies. Numerous calls assaults against our other children, calls to police and stays at various psychiatric facilities did not seem to help. We were fortunate to have an amazing middle school principal who understood the situation and pushed for our son to attend EBC, which we had not heard of before. EBC has been a godsend. EBC gave us HOPE for our son. I cannot overstate how important this was for us. All special education schools can boast small classroom sizes and taylored educational curricula. What makes EBC stand out are the dedication of its staff, all the way from the teachers, classroom assistants, classroom behavioral specialists, therapists, to the administrative staff and the principal (director) of the school. Their dedication and ability to tolerate intolerable behavior always keeping an eye on the goal of how to best their students is nothing short of amazing! If you have a difficult child who is on an IEP in a classroom environment that you don't think is giving your child his or her best chance, I urge you to consider talking with EBC or touring its South Bay or Palo Alto campus.
