Flan and a caramel filled croissant.

Just visited and loved it! We shared an amazing pastrami sandwich and each had a fabulous dessert. Apologies for no photo of the sandwich. We gobbled it up so fast! This place is very cute and not touristy. Service was excellent. Great location too - quiet and comfortable.

and....I'm back! Still one of my favorite bakery/patisserie/cafes ever. Such delightful, delectable, delicious baked goods. They make a mean cafe bombón which is a double espresso with condensed milk. Maybe a tad too much milk hence too sweet this time but overall the pastries and regular coffee drinks more than made up for it. The palmiers and croissants--light, flaky, terrific. Generous amount of dark chocolate in the pain au chocolat. Embarrassed to admit I've only ever had breakfast items so I haven't tried some of their dessert pastries but now I've realized this that means I'll have to go back next time!

The people working here are just so wonderful and match the calm atmosphere. Such a welcome escape from the overrun touristy areas. The food was excellent (spinach salad), and ordered a plate of jamon iberico. Lemon cheesecake was a hit. Coffee is solid but the fresh orange /apple/ carrot juice is fantastic.

First time and not the last. We came here 3x during our trip and could have made it daily if our schedule allowed. We had the honor of meeting Jose and his wife and got to know them and their history and understand their passion for their business. The quality of food and presentation accompanied by the wonderful people is a reflection of their dream. Great pastries abound, along with breads, desserts, and chocolates. Each and every time we visited, something new appeared for us to choose from. An option for brunch is also available including eggs served with toast and a tomato salsa along with wonderful coffee type drinks and freshly squeezed juice. The bakery is in the front and the cafe is in the rear with plenty of seating for 2 or more. The ambiance promoted comfort, simplicity, and the ability to easily have conversations or solo time. A definite definite place to visit!

Cheesecake de pistachio and hot americano. You can adjust the amount of water as you prefer. Both coffee and cake taste fabulous.

Ordered cheesecake de pistachio and americano. Both coffee and cake tastes great. I feel this isn't that expensive when thinking about the taste.

Walk in a view all the fabulous pastries. A few more feet to the dining room. You can go for the specialty coffee, or the interesting menu, but definitely get the orange juice. I don't know why it's better there, it just is. I got some scrambled eggs with sun dried tomatoes and crushed tomatoes to spread on my toast. All so delicious. It was a quiet atmosphere and the wait staff, while they seemed to be stretched thin, was attentive.

Saint Eulalia is a MUST visit for coffee fanatics. As a tourist who only spent a few days in Madrid, I learned lots of restaurants rest on Mondays, so plan your trip around that lol I made sure I was there first thing Tuesday morning! Everything was yummy, whether it's the Saint Eulalia iced latte, macchiato or their pasteis de Belem. And don't forget to look down at the floor! The transparent glass flooring is a nice touch.

Loved this place so much we came back two days in a row on vacation Everything was 5 stars: Got the following: Apple pound cake, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, and eggs with tomato bread. All were delicious and very well executed! Great coffee and tea options as well. Would definitely come back for sure!!

Lovely cafe for a cappuccino and pastry. Nice atmosphere. Quieter area in the back has WiFi - several students seem to be regulars here to study. Staff is quite nice to those of us who struggle with Spanish. Highly recommend!

Loved this place. Variety of pastries and breakfast items and interesting way of serving their coffee drinks.

This was my favorite cafe on my trip to Madrid. The passion fruit and raspberry pastry was excellent!! Also the barista made some really cute latte art. Great atmosphere and friendly workers :)

I was looking for a cafe to do some work where I could get some good coffee and pastries. I stumbled across this place which is very close to the main downtown area of Madrid and came a few times over the days I stayed in Madrid. Great coffee, the pastries are delicious and the ambience is truly relaxing. I would recommend going if ever in Madrid.

Based on the definitive opinions of travel vloggers, this appeared to be the place to get the fabled chocolate con churros. Jamie W and I made our way here through the labyrinth of streets near Puerta del Sol. It was early evening so no surprise there was a queue, but it moved quickly because this historic place was a model of efficiency. It's the type of place where you need to be ready to order the moment you're in front of the hostess. Luckily, we had made mental notes of what to order from one particular vlogger, so we were ready. It only took a minute to secure one of their marble cafe tables. Our order arrived fairly quickly. It consisted of a 2,5€ plate of Churros, six long sticks of chewy, delicious dough. Unlike the Mexican version, it wasn't dusted with sugar because the 3,7€ cup of Hot Chocolate was more than enough (Photo 8). Incredibly rich and only lightly sweetened. The churros might've been enough for a neophyte, but we double-downed with a 2,5€ order of two Porros (Photo 7). Porras are a thicker, doughier version of churros, so of course, they were our favorites because they really held the chocolate with assurance. Even though we went through two cups of hot chocolate, we still had 2,4€ cups of Cafes con Leche to wash it all down (Photo 10). It was an ideal dessert experience because who doesn't love awesome doughnuts? Definitely a must-gorge when in Madrid. Don't get me wrong - they do indeed have a whole bunch of food vendors that all looked extremely good. Some of them were tourist-priced (ok, a majority of them were tourist-priced), but none of them looked *bad*, just not *necessarily* worth the price, when you could go any number of places nearby and get food as good, for cheaper. But there were definitely some hidden gems, including one absolutely wonderful tapas place that we ordered a bunch of little tostas from, of all different sorts, that we were absolutely impressed by and happy with all of. And of course, the vendor I had originally been most excited about, La Hora del Vermut, which does indeed offer both very inexpensive, great "house" vermouth, and very affordable fancy vermouths. I would've loved to hang out at a bar like that... if I could do so and also *move*. See, the thing is... this market is absolutely not big enough for all its accolades. As Yogi Berra may or may not have ever said, "No one goes there nowadays, it's too crowded." At least I probably wouldn't ever go back there... we could barely hear to order tapas at the tapas place, and good luck finding a place to eat if you're not taking it to go. Good luck actually making it to one of the vendors further away from the entrance, either. It was an absolute madhouse, so we ordered a bunch of tostas at once, I braved the insanity to get a couple glasses of vermouth and met my wife outside the actual market to eat them on the steps. And that was the *off* season - if it's like that in January, I could only imagine it in May! Great vendors, but as a market, they really need better crowd management / foot traffic control.
