Dying agave with cool shoot that grew last spring

Really enjoyed our time here. It wasn't too large, but it made for a great way to start a Sunday morning- opens at 9. Really enjoyed the sculptures scattered through the gardens. Stop by the tour guide to ask what we needed to know for a good visit. He was delightful giving us some insight on agave and junipers. Nice little fun facts :) Kinda wish the gift shop had plants, my favorite plants have come from botanical gardens I've visited. Did enjoy the stickers and postcards they had

A truly beautiful and divine location! If you are looking for a place to both rest and relax, this is it! Surrounding yourself with lots of flowers, hummingbirds, and learning along the way! The staff is phenomenal as well, both friendly and helpful! Enjoy!

Lovely Botanical Garden. We took a stroll in May and enjoyed it. It was nice learning about the high desert plants and how indigenous use the plants. They have a store, programs, and tours.

This botanical garden is so cute. Lots of lovely flowers of all kinds. They also have beautiful Native American inspired artwork and sculptures. It's a little under a mile to complete the entire trail with plenty of benches to sit throughout. Gorgeous garden. It costs $15 for adults which isn't bad but a little pricey for how small the garden is. They have water fill stations throughout so be sure to bring your refillable water bottle.

The garden showcases all the plants that call the area home. It's easy walk with mountain views and areas to sit. There are displays with interesting information about the plants and uplifting stories from the people who have lived in the region for generations. There's also a gift shop. Definitely a great way to spend a morning or afternoon while visiting Santa Fe.

We didn't expect to see so many plants in the garden. It's the desert after all! The staff was friendly inside the building. We didn't see many people in the garden. It wasn't too hot yet. There were many statues throughout the garden to find. They had a nice venue for maybe a band or presentation, too. The cacti were cool to see along with all the various plant life. I can't imagine having to water many of these plants! Some great views!

Compared to other gardens that I have been to across the country, this one was very small. It took only about an hour to walk through. They do offer reciprocal admission if you are a member at another garden in US. They also have sculptures which were cool.

We wanted to have a nature experience and didn't want to take the time to drive out of town so decided to spend some time in this garden. They're part of a reciprocal garden program that I belong to so we got in free which was nice. Due perhaps to the time of year we didn't see much that was very interesting or blooming but we did see some birds, and enjoyed the different sculptures throughout.

It's an okay botanical garden, I'd rather go to the one in Salt Lake City or even the Dallas arboretum. Both of those locations are huge and worth the cost. The Santa Fe Botantical garden is a bit overpriced for its size. The walking trail is pretty near. Make sure to bring water! And I found it fascinating that Datura is growing wild in the garden. Wasn't expecting that at all! But other wise you can see lots of varieties of cacti just walking around New Mexico for free.

This is a true botanical garden - both educational and beautiful. I've visited Santa Fe a lot but don't know the flowers & shrubs, so it was great to be able to learn what's what. I finally figured out that the pretty tree outside my brother's house was a golden raintree. The culinary & herb gardens were fascinating (the sign about Datura is a lovely description of the work of a curandera). The photographs describing the pinyon & juniper landscape along with the pinyon jay were lovely. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate that they are part of the American Horticultural Society's reciprocal admissions program. Highly recommended.

We came to the Santa Fe botanical garden on Monday morning. It was lovely to walk around the gardens and enjoy the local plants and sculpture. This was a great way to relax, unwind, be in nature and learn about the local wildlife. Be sure to wear good shoes and stop by their gift shop for some mementos!

Such a cute and beautiful Botanical Garden! Lots of lovely plants and architectural displays that are unique to New Mexico with lots of information about each and every one of them for those who enjoy reading all about everything there is to know. The staff was also so kind and knowledgeable about the garden. Props to the volunteer who genuinely enjoyed being there and sharing his knowledge with guests. One part about the garden that I liked the best was a whole section where you can choose several different trails to venture off on your own adventure, yet it loops around back to where everyone would return to. It felt like I went on a whole hike to find all sorts of plants, bugs, lizards, and more! So fun!

Chris and I visited this garden for a late morning visit. The location is adjacent to Museum Hill in Santa Fe. We recommend visiting the gardens in the morning before the heat intensifies. Once your visit is complete have lunch at the museum cafe and then visit the four adjacent museums. Parking is free in the dirt parking area. Admission is inexpensive and paid in the small trailer that also serves as the gift shop. We found the gardens to be spectacular!! Amazing plants and flowers!! Hummingbirds and other birds and wildlife were abundant. Our visit in August provided lots of colorful flowers. We spent two hours walking and sitting in various locations. The volunteer staffers were friendly and knowledgeable. My only quibble is the lack of real full service bathrooms. It appears that they only have porta potties. We highly recommend this garden!!

Small but well done! We got some steps in and learned about the local vegetation! It was a beautiful day in May so that made it extra nice!

I am reluctant to write this review for Green Garden & Handyman because I want to keep them my…read moresecret. They are THAT good. I have a one acre property that had been sadly neglected when I bought this house. It was an overgrown, Chinese elm-infested sticker patch with a beautiful view. I am not a yard work person and I knew that even if I were, this was way beyond my capabilities. 1. Jeronimo actually answered his phone, something none of the other landscape/irrigation companies did (and of the messages I left, NONE called me back (ah, Santa Fe, I still love you...) 2. Jeronimo came by the same day I called to assess the job and gave me a price on the spot. At first I thought, "YIKES! that's a lot of money!" But I agreed to it because it needed to be done. I am from California and I am all too aware of the fire hazard of this kind of foliage, having just watched my house nearly burn down from a wildfire. 3. A week later, on the agreed date, at the agreed time, Jeronimo and his crew showed up ready to tackle my unruly acre. For the next 3 full days, there was a crew of 3-5 men on my property working their hearts out. The men were polite, courteous and super-hardworking. I lost count of the trailer's full of dump-bound refuse after about 6. I watched this place transform into the gorgeous property it should be. 4. Jeronimo and his men didn't just come in and slash away at things. Jeronimo has the knowledge of a serious arborist and as his men worked their way through the meadow section, they left the clumps of wildflowers standing and cut limbs off trees in a way that will promote healthy future growth. They all have knowledge of the landscape and plants they are working with and are sensitive to the needs of the ecology of the space -- just like a fancy landscape architect would be. By the end of the first day, I could see how much actual work my place would be and I realized that the price was absolutely fair. 5. Jeronimo is helping me work out a phased plan for my acre that will include rehabilitating the irrigation system and planting fruit trees and installing critter proof raised beds along with rock work. He is a knowledgable man and seems to know that everyone should walk away happy. I HIGHLY recommend Green Garden, even though I'd like to keep them as my own secret weapon.

Fortunately for us, the museum was running a free admission Friday! Because of this, the museum was very busy, especially with a large group of students roaming around. The museum has two floors with several galleries to explore. On the first floor, I was captivated by the murals and hanging panels portraying the seasons and migration of tribes and herds. A separate downstairs gallery featured modern art pieces, and there was one particularly sobering piece on sexual abuse perpetuated by the Catholic Church. These pieces were quite heavy as you could feel the grief expressed by the artists. Upstairs felt different, showcasing Native pride through their regalia, bolos, and handmade jewelry. The upstairs galleries felt more celebratory of Native culture, drawing attention to their accomplishments and craftsmanship. Overall, the museum offers an eye-opening experience, and I left with a greater appreciation for Native art, culture, and collective lived experience.
