Second we were told they picked up at the Lorreto Chapel, they don't so we had to dash over several streets to catch the tour. They only take cash, having a web site could eliminate that. There were some who didn't have money, just plastic. Word of caution, these buses are difficult to get in and out of, they are like trolly cars. If you have any sort of physical disability the trip might not work for you

Some examples of that during our Santa Fe Footprints tour was Burro Alley, the Spitz Clock, and the Solders Monument. Our guide for our 2 hour deep dive was Terry. We were impressed with his knowledge and insights, and I'm sure Gayle and I will see him again when we return to Santa Fe next year. Bob Ackenhausen and Santa Fe footprints were fantastic. First off, Bob is super responsive to email and texts. Bob greeted us at Henry and the Fish at 900am. He's relaxed and puts you at ease. The next two hours were delightful. We learned so much American, Spanish and Mexican history. It was not a lot of walking however there were so many interesting tidbits along his route. Mary transformed what could have been an overwhelming stroll into a curated, engaging, and educational experience. She guided us through a moveable story of Santa Fe: Native and Indigenous art galleries where we learned more about Santa Fe's history, an artist-in-residence home where we discovered how Canyon Road developed, and contemporary galleries where she introduced us to owners and working artists. Bruce is an experienced pilot with lots of knowledgeable about geology and the Navajo Indians. We flew over forests, desert, buttes, canyons, mountains, rivers and plateaus! You name it, we saw it and it was beautiful! Monument Valley was beautiful as well, and we really enjoyed that ground tour. This is a tour you should not miss if at all possible.
