I have been coming back here for a couple years now. I first got a plum tree from here that I won at a Rotary of Park Forest auction. The tree was healthy and pretty big. They gave me recommendations on watering and planting. When I followed those, the tree turned out great and my kids love eating the plums every summer. I recently went back for a couple Bald Cypress trees. They had plenty in stock. (Even if they didn't they have always ordered and received the plants in short time.). The trees are doing well The owners are ready to help and the customer service is great. They know their plants and will give you suggestions based on shade, no shade, soil type and proper planting. They even went the extra mile to help me secure the plants in my car and wrap the pot, so dirt didn't get on the inside of my car. Driving a car with three full plants inside was interesting. We recently purchased a 30-year-old home with a lot of lovely, mature trees. The roof on the house was also done in the last few years and we were concerned about the lovely, mature trees tearing up the roof and also providing a nice little access-point for all the local wildlife into the attic. We were referred to Santa Fe by a neighbor and I truly could not be more happy. We couldn't be more pleased with the work Santa Fe performed for us. We needed to have an elderly relative's home cleared of overgrown brush and weeds for aesthetics and safety. I met with Craig to discuss the work. He said he'd have a quote to me by the end of the day and he followed through and I accepted. Since it was a relatively small job for them he couldn't say exactly when they would fit it into their schedule but said no longer than a week. And then they did it the next day. Fantastic! What a great company. I wanted my backyard redone, went to three landscapers and received three quotes from 3200 to 6700 dollars for basically the same project scope. This company gave the most plants, dirt and mulch than the others. But most of all, Craig, the owner listed to what wanted; lots of color and attract butterflies and hummingbirds. He delivered. The yard looks great and was done in one day. His crew, including his extremely polite son and two others left no mess at all. They even put mats under their truck to ensure there were no oil spots on the driveway. I am extremely pleased. Update after the summer, I was not happy with the survival rates of the plants although they were watered and fertilized. All of the astilbe died under the maple as well as other perennials. Santa Fe replaced our patio in early Spring, 2018, and did a great job of removing the previous stone, replacing it with pavers. They also renewed our landscaping, removing dead bushes and trimming existing bushes. They replaced existing mulch with stone, to make a beautifully landscaped house. I'm very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend them. Craig is easy to work with, and was willing to accommodate additional requests after the work began. read more

(Note: This review may be biased and also refers mostly to their October attraction, undead acres) I've worked at Santa Fe for several years now. I work in their haunted trail, where i help ensure customers are properly scared. But this is not where my experience with them begins. For several years prior to my initial employment, a group of friends and myself would head to santa fe to do some zombie paintball and a the haunted trail. And I'll be honest with you, there is no better experience than the zombie paintball. You sit on a trailer, with quite a few other people, and you shoot zombies while rock and heavy metal blasts around you. The ride is divided up into scenes, and each one feels amazing. From an epic mineshaft scene, to an awesome finale i won't spoil. That is not to speak ill of the other attraction, the haunted trail is great as well. If i had to give it an age group, I'd say pre-teens through teens. That being said, I've seen little children go through unscared, and I've seen adults ready to cry. Besides those two attractions, they also offer a small selection of minigames. There is a corn shooter, and a mini-paintball gallery. A small zoo also exists where you can see the wide collection of animals that exist at Santa Fe. A concession stand is outside as well, so patrons can buy food and drink for themselves, and as an added bonus, a fire is usually started. I cannot express how amazing that fire is, especially in the later parts of the months. Having worked there for several years, i get to hear the good and the bad. Some of the best things people have to say is how fun the paintball ride is, and how scary the trail is. Of course, not everyone feels that way. Some people just don't find the trail scary, but to this day, I've never had a customer who didn't enjoy the paintball ride. Two of the biggest complaints i hear are time and price. In the middle of October, it's the busiest time, no doubt. I've seen nights where the wait time for the ride is an hour. It goes by quickly in my opinion. Talking with friends around the fire, and going through the trail speeds things up. But if that time is far too much, i recommend you come on a Sunday in the beginning or end of the month, those are the least busiest times. The only time i hear of price complaints are, funny enough, people who haven't gone on the ride yet. Once they go on, they aren't singing the same tune once they come off, that's for sure. I have to give this place 5 stars, some of you reading this may be laughing, claiming it's because i work there. And that's not the truth. The truth is that Santa Fe has been a huge positive impact on my life for more than half a decade. Santa Fe is the reason October is my favorite month. Final update. Saturday, November 8th. Never heard back from this business. I've since already had a new paver patio installed, so I'm happy. I would definitely never patronize this business as they don't seem to value their customers. It's not like they had time to dislike me, they blew me off from the get go. read more

We contacted Santa Fe Landscaping about a tree in our backyard that was in bad shape. The owner, Craig, came out and diagnosed the problem. We, then, asked for an estimate for landscaping our front yard. He was very knowledgeable and made many suggestions and said he would contact us with an estimate. Later that day he called and gave it to us. The price was very reasonable and we hired him. In the mean time we decided to have additional work done. When we discussed it with him, again, he had some great suggestions. We concurred with them. Again, the price was reasonable. The entire project took two days. The first one was spent taking out the old landscaping and preparing for the new. The second day was reshaping the brickwork and planting the new shrubs and other plants. In the end the yard looked beautiful. Craig's crew, including his son, work very had and very smart. They were extremely pleasant and very professional. We are extremely pleased and are already planning on additional work for them next year. I would highly recommend Santa Fe Landscaping to anyone who wants quality workmanship and material at a reasonable price. read more
