They mixed up the houses, came to ours spraying weed killer on our fresh and still growing lawn killing the good grass too. Once I confronted the employee he stopped immediately, but he told me that the grass will start dying within the next two weeks. As you can see in the pictures the grass and the whole trail where the weed killer was sprayed is already turning yellow and it's only been two days. We spoke on the phone with Rick the owner of the company how can we resolve this huge problem, as our current landscaping service declined to carry responsibility for the ruined grass, which totally makes sense. He said he would come to our house the next day on our agreed time to talk to us saying he would make things right. He never showed up and never answered his cell phone. I left him a voicemail saying I was disappointed with him, I felt like he disrespected us and that the lawyer will contact him soon. Also, told him that he wasn't allowed on our property. The next morning he showed up around 9am uninvited telling us what he will do. He basically dictated his plans and what was convenient for him. He changed the whole story of what he promised us on the day of the mix up he would do, including the reimbursement of water bills for watering the grass in the past 2months. He said he'll patch it here and there and will only cover the water bill for the work he has done. We slammed the door to his face yelling to leave our property immediately. Guys, there are plenty of good, accountable and responsible landscaping companies out there. Be wise and read the review. Rick, is dishonest (told us he fell asleep on the couch, that's why he didn't show up to the meeting) how responsible is he? He doesn't care, he's a liar and very manipulative if he doesn't get it his way. We felt like he mistreated us because of his money power, but there will be consequences. We are not the people who just going to let it slide like that. Bernardins Landscaping is not the company you want to work with!

The project included removing old stone and brick formations, laying down completely new sod in areas of the lawn that were in terrible shape, and carefully rebuilding some of the stone and brick edging that I wanted to keep. Hired Ginkgo Landscaping to remove a tree in my yard that was damaged by storms we had. Two large…read moresections of branches had come down prior to them arriving. It took about 2 to 3 weeks from the time I called for them to get here, but they at least responded to my inquiries. Sent me a quote and told me that with the way, the schedule was, they were quite busy, which is understandable as all businesses were. They gave me a date to do the job however, when the second section a tree came down, I called them again and someone came out and cut the sections that had fall into the ground up to hauled it away and then came back to do the tree. They did the tree cut it down and I also had one of the trees in the front yard trimmed to get rid of low hanging branches that were close to the roof line. They didn't grind the stump down because although we discussed having Julie come out and mark the ground beforehand, they did not arrive before the scheduled date for the tree to be removed, and I was not comfortable having the grinding done without the ground being marked off. So the tree was removed down to as far down as possible, and the tree in the front yard was trimmed. They kept me a prize of when they were coming via text message two days before their arrival and gave me a time that they would be here so far, they've been very responsive. Their price was fair and the work was done very well. They left the yard very clean with no remnants of anything laying around. All debris was cleaned up and hauled away. I don't know when the stump grinding will happen as we are waiting on Julie and then I'm not sure when that'll be scheduled but so far they have been exceptional with the work they have performed and I would hire them again for any similar work I would need in the future. Or recommend them to friends or family looking for a company to do this type of work. The only reason I did not give them five stars was because we haven't completed the stump removal, but I'm pretty sure that once that is completed, I will update this and it will be changed to a five star review.
