Since buying our new home in Lemont a few years ago we wanted to have a nice backyard for entertaining. From the second we met Mike we knew he was the right person for this project. We carefully went through plans to remove our old deck that the builders put in and replace it with a 15' composite deck as well as a full paver patio that included a custom bar and firepit. Mike guided us through the whole process from inception to final product. He was very professional along the way, answering all of our annoying home owner questions! Mike is very skilled when it comes to all of the design elements - he designed the whole project and guided us in picking out the right pavers, colors, etc.  His crew is very professional - they show up on time, work hard and do a good job of cleaning up as they go. John was our on site lead and he was always pleasant to talk to and very approachable when it came to any on the fly changes we wanted to make.  Overall the final pictures of our project speak for themselves. EL does beautiful work and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. After our project was complete we had a few final things we wanted changed and Mike and his crew were quick to make those changes to ensure we were happy with the final result.  When it comes time to do the landscaping in our front yard we'll for sure be calling Mike at Elemental Landscapes!

When I read the reviews, I thought this company was to good to be true, but thought I would contact them. Well, I was dead WRONG about being to good to be true. Elemental Landscaping was everything that people wrote about them, and more!! It started with Allen helping me walk through my options and working with me until we hit upon the best solution for my back yard. The difference with Allen and other sales folk that I have worked with is that he didn't disappear after the contract was signed. He stayed with the job from beginning to end, making sure that I was happy with what was going on. The workers that were out here were spectacular and went above and beyond what they needed to do. While my back yard will never rival the size and scope of some of the advertisement pictures that you see, what Elemental was able to create for me is an oasis of relaxation and an outdoor living space that you look for excuses to spend time in. I know that mere words can't do a review justice for the quality of the work and the company. However, I will tell you that I am already planning and working with Elemental to tackle the front of my property - perhaps in the spring. He begged me not to call the police, and I was kind and respected his request. I agreed to settle everything peacefully without calling insurance or getting him in trouble. However, after he spoke to his manager, everything changed. The company told him to lie to the police and claim that the accident was my fault, even though I was driving straight and he hit me from the back. I witnessed this lie right in front of me after I had helped him. When I called the company to explain what really happened, the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. He insulted me and called me names for no reason. I never mentioned anything about race, but he still accused me of being racist, which is especially hurtful since I am Middle Eastern and deal with racism myself. This company showed dishonesty, disrespect, and zero professionalism. Based on my experience, I do not trust them, and I would not recommend their services to anyone.

What truly impressed us was how they coordinated the entire job--far beyond what their contract required. They scheduled and managed other trades, including the deck crew, pool installers, and electricians. They didn't have to do any of that, but they did it anyway to make sure the project flowed smoothly. One of the reasons we chose them was because they are Unilock certified, which was extremely important to us for warranty purposes. The majority of our project involved extensive Unilock pavers off the back of our home and surrounding the new pool, and their craftsmanship is absolutely outstanding. At the beginning, we had a clear plan, but as with any large construction project, things changed along the way. Jimenez and Sons handled every change quickly, professionally, and without ever falling behind schedule. They made on-the-fly adjustments to retaining walls, pool equipment locations, and even the water features--all without a single complaint. Their work ethic is unmatched. They were on-site at 7 AM every day, stayed until dark, and even worked Saturdays, something you don't see from many contractors today. This is clearly a family-run business, and they treat you like part of that family. They work on your home as if it were their own. Even the father, who started this business many years ago with just a shovel and a wheelbarrow, was there from start to finish. His passion for the craft still shines through. And I have to highlight Rene Jimenez specifically--he is truly the best. Rene is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also an all-around great person: honest, easy to work with, and patient. He has an incredible vision for tough, complicated projects, and he can see solutions long before anyone else does. His leadership and creativity were a huge part of why this project turned out so beautifully. They went above and beyond with the landscaping as well. They moved and replanted trees to improve the view, added multiple new trees and shrubs, and placed everything perfectly to enhance beauty while blocking unwanted sightlines. Our backyard has been completely transformed, and we couldn't be happier with the results. It's rare to find a company that combines skill, integrity, dedication, and true pride in their work the way Jimenez and Sons does. Amazing response after August's derecho in New Lenox. Our prize 45+ year old massive linden tree…read morewas twisted by the wind and the trunk was split in half. At risk of falling on the house in the next storm, and unable to be climbed due to the precarious nature of the damage, Homer Tree showed up with 4 trucks and a master crew who used a crane and bucket truck to safely saw through the trunk and lift the entire canopy out in two enormous sections, which went right into the chipper. They cut out the rest of the trunk, ground down the stump and the last guy on site used a rake to pick up every last stick and leaf. 45 minutes of extraordinary professionalism. These guys know their stuff. We were extremely sad to lose our amazing, beloved tree but glad we didn't have to worry about or home or property being damaged by inexpert removal. And we were very pleased with the pricing and response time, especially after a disastrous weather event. We heard some outrageous price-gouging quotes. Good to know the local guys are there for the community.

I called on July 26th and was told they'd be here at the end of August. On September 2nd I called again and was told they'd find out from the scheduling dept what's going on. In the design phase Doug quickly grasped our intent - to screen a neighbor's utility building - and offered great suggestions on which plantings would work best. His design incorporated multiple large trees at a very reasonable price. The job was complicated by multiple underground utilities, and during the installation phase they worked closely with Julie on-site to ensure they were avoided. Doug hand picked the major trees at the nursery, and on planting day positioned all the plants to our approval. The crew was efficient , professional and very courteous throughout the job, and quickly addressed any concerns we had. Since moving to Illinois 17 years ago we have employed three landscaping companies for major planting or patio installations. Scott, Doug and his crew are by far and away the best we have had.
