This gym should have six stars…read more My husband and I stayed in Santa Fe for 5 weeks and joined Railyard Fitness. They have a special membership with no commitment for travelers and I cannot recommend this gym highly enough. The gym itself is clean, modern, bright and has a great energy. It features top of the line equipment and includes everything that you can possibly think of (rowers, ellipticals, treadmills, stair stepper, TRX bands, etc.). On top of the gym equipment, the membership includes access to red light therapy & Normatec compression for full body. For an additional cost, you can enjoy the sauna and cold plunge located in a separate locked room. The owner, Douglas, is so kind and welcoming. The other trainers are the same. If you have the opportunity, purchasing a training session(s) with any of them would be a great investment. You could tell each of their clients truly enjoyed them and they were consistently busy. With that, even with 3-4 trainers seeing clients, there was plenty of room for other members to workout. The gym itself has three separate workout areas and plenty of machines / equipment to be shared. If we lived in Santa Fe this would be the gym that I would join without question. We miss the gym every day! Thanks for an amazing experience!

Multiple members and instructors have complained -- nothing has been done. Instructors say they can't teach properly without working audio, and frankly, they're right. Retention is a serious problem. Not one person from the front desk staff when I joined is still here, including the manager. Two out of five zumba instructors have left, reportedly due to pay that's well below market rate and poor working conditions. Most alarming: I've been told that when an instructor gets injured and needs 6-8 weeks to recover, they're forced to resign rather than being placed on leave -- then told they can reapply later. That's not how you treat people. This place has potential, but until management addresses how it treats its staff and maintains its equipment, I can't recommend it.

It's okay. It's relatively clean apart from the stench in some lockers, which is nice…read more There are areas set up for turf workouts but you'll never be able to use them because they don't discourage people from using the turf to hangout or stretch. There are dedicated stretching areas that typically are vacant while this happens. People frequently use multiple machines with no signage or discouragement from staff despite there literally being 6 people working the front desk right now. Half the lockers in the men's locker room smell so bad that using them will make your clothes stink. When I started my membership they were able to use any barcode you wanted to check in. Then they forced people to use their app which harvests user data (it's in the terms if you read them.) They make you pay $10 for a new barcode even if you had one, just for the privilege of them not selling my your info. Which they no doubt just turn around and still sell anyway.

I usually have little to no problem getting on the machines I use, but i am retired and can go at odd hours. Folks there are respectful of each other and the manager and trainer are easy to talk to. I definitely recommend Anytime on Main.

After about 3 years of going to this gym the craziest thing happened to me. I know it's going to…read moresound paranoid but hear me out. Most of my interactions with this place have been pretty benign. I'd go in twice a week to get in a strength session or cardio. Of course, the second they put up that blue lives matter flag up gave me significant pause. Seems like an odd move for a gym in a working class neighborhood. I thought seriously about canceling my membership over that but didn't because I liked the routine I had got into over the years. I thought it would be too difficult to quit the gym etc etc so I procrastinated. After a workout I got approached by someone while I was buying something from the vending machine. A guy I had never seen before asked for my phone number. Seemed pleasant enough so I stupidly gave him my number. I may have made a comment about it being a cop gym (which if that bothered the guy get real). Some time later and he tries to add me to Snapchat, which I have but actually never use (too many ads). Since I don't add anyone to that if I don't know them I denied the request and moved on. He texted me later and through a series of messages I learned that he works at the gym. I questioned why he approached me a little, as one does. He mentioned Snapchat and I said I don't use it. Anyone with a lick of sense knows that Snapchat is not used for wholesome purposes. I said yeah, I have a profile but I never open the app. He said something like 'Well, you better open it for me' to which I immediately said no. I can only imagine he didn't take that very well because he stopped texting. I think he also got me locked out of the gym. It's kinda comical of you think about it. I was already on the fence about the place and then this happens. Now, the person who runs the place is claiming I'm locked out for what he referred to as "tailgating". The last time I went to work out was November 26. I had already been locked out. It was also the ONLY TIME anyone ever let me in because my pass wasn't working. How convenient for them, right? Do I regret not canceling myself and letting it get to this point? Kinda. Do I care enough to do anything beyond writing this out? Honestly, no. They did me a favor in the long run. I can't prove that I'm being retaliated against but I can warn other people that something is fishy. I know it sounds extremely paranoid to come to the conclusion I have. The series of events just make no sense. In any case this is a very good time for me to move on. P.S If a rando hits on you at this place be cautious.

My eating habits, while generally "good", had slipped and I was feeling badly about my shape and health overall. Then I started training with Simon 4x a week. Having Simon there to show me new exercises, to coach me along and to push me to push myself was just what I needed. No more excuses, no more moping around the gym doing the same old routine I was used to and that had become so boring that I stopped. He challenges me to try new things that I would never think of on my own and that push the limits of what my body can handle in a good way- motivating me to get better and better at the things I find most diffcult. And while it's always a great workout, it's always a lot of fun too! Training with Simon has impacted not only my fitness level, but the entire way I live my life in a healthy way each day. Too often we all forget that our health should be our top priority, thanks Simon for helping me to see that for myself again! I'm sad he moved from San Francisco to Santa Fe, but hopefully lots of people in New Mexico can share in my positive experience!
