Roof maintenance . Estimator came to look at the roof and provide estimate. With all the photos and talking I assumed they were going to do quite a lot of work for there 5767.00 bid; not including tax. Not told it was just a fixed rate by square foot. The Crew ( one guy ) was there for three part days 14.5 hrs being generous including lunch breaks and times that I could not say he wasn't there. Product used maybe four gallons JACO Patch; good product costs anywhere from 150.00 to $200.00 per tube of 2 Gallons. All they did was paint this on lots of corners and all penetrations . Did good job doing this. Some things in the bid I guess were not needed. When asked why they did not sweep the roof to better see what to repair was told it was not specified in the bid. work done OK; Cost astronomic. read more

Three months ago the stucco on the front wall around my house began to show water damage and cracking. SFStucco&Roofing redid the entire wall, adding a water barrier, which was not originally installed, along the top of the wall to prevent recurrence of the problem. The repair was quick, and the workmen took great care to protect the plants along the bottom of the wall. The color match is very good, and the wall looks great! About five years ago SFStucco&Roofing replaced the worn-out and leaking tar and gravel roof on the house with a membrane roof. No review, I was not following Yelp then, but they did a very good job. After five years there are no leaks, but when I inspected the roof this spring there were several areas where the membrane had lifted from the roof and torn. The roof is still under warranty. SFStucco&Roofing sent out a team that repaired all the damaged areas that I had seen, and several that I was not aware of. Highly responsive, and I was very pleased with their work. read more

Unless you want to sign a non-disclosure agreement after they're done w you, I would avoid. Unprofessional.

I am writing this after my final payment to SF Stucco and Roofing. Save your money, time, and sanity and look elsewhere. It took over two months to complete the roof! Had to have my Realtor deal with them. They want 2/3rds of the full payment UP FRONT, then delay the start and there is nothing you can do because they have your money. I felt extorted, I felt cheated, and they held all the cards and cash. While they did a fair job on the roof - there is still pooling, it's the million little bits of roofing material in the landscaping they didn't clean up. Again, save your time money and sanity and never hire these expensive jerks (oh, yeah, the owner drives a 100K electric truck so you know they are making a fortune...) read more

In the summer of 2015 we had our house and wall stuccoed. The sale included a warranty. In March of this year we contacted SFSR about cracks in the wall. It took some time, but they eventually repaired the walls. Then again on June 18, I again attempted to request repairs. Eleven calls later still no repairs have been made. The latest was September 21. I did get a call saying some one would call me back.....that never happened. I would never use them nor recommend them. As the warranty nears expiration, I want the repairs done! read more

I had a leak in the hallway, and needed general maintenance on a metal panel roof. Santa Fe Stucco and Roofing recommended new screws, and silicon on the panel joints and screw openings. Four thousand dollars later the roof still leaked ; the owner of SFSR came to look at it and said the leak comes from cracks in the stucco, not from the roof, and recommended $4000 more work. When I said no, why didn't you figure this out to begin with, he shrugged. His best offer was to have his crew slather more silicon on the stucco cracks, which he admitted was only a temporary fix. I'm waiting for the next heavy rain. Also, a job that SFSR initially estimated would take "one day, maybe a day and half" stretched out over 2 weeks, with a crew showing up for one or two hours and then disappearing. The people seemed nice and seemed professional during the estimating and contract signing for my re-roof. The work was to be done during a week when I was away. I was disappointed when I returned, with the sloppiness. I have spent HOURS cleaning the yard and 3 months later I am still finding roofing trash, including nails, in my yard and gardens. There is roofing gravel and sand, white pumice, bits of asphalt and lots of styrofoam particles and chunks all over. As a sample, I have picked up about three gallons of junk and that is only a tiny portion of what they left. I have found roofing nails, with the big metal circles, 25' from the house- as if they were thrown. I work in rubber boots and it's amazing one has not gone through a boot or my hand. There is exposed wiring on the roof now and they covered it with a cut-off plastic soda bottle.I don't know where the wires came from or go but it was not exposed before. It appears that a blow torch burned the paint off of some of the protrusions on the roof and covers were dented and left with tar on them. I've also picked up lots of cigarette butts and no one-no one ever- is allowed to smoke on my property, especially not when they are on my roof working with flammable materials and torches!! The copper piping for my cooler is bent. Inside- I now have cracks in my ceiling and between the ceiling and walls. A lighting fixture in my laundry room shook hard enough to come off and shatter across the floor which is the first thing I walked in on. There was styrofoam and roofing particles on my carpet and furniture because they did not cover the various vents and it got into the HVAC system. It kept coming out until I finally took all the vents off and cleaned as deeply as I could.. There is a huge piece of styrofoam sitting under my cooler, with tar dripped over it. Styrofoam is never meant to be used in exposed conditions. Now all the petro-bits are floating towards the big plastic island/dead zone in the ocean. There are places that it looks like they made holes during the process and had to put small patches over the big sheets. Really unprofessional.and disappointing. And they charged $23k. It included replacing 3 canales. I did not expect that some of the canales would be covered over which was due to the new pitch. I have plantings that were dependent on those canales and now I have to bring in irrigation. Instead of putting tarps down or otherwise being careful about the environmentally unfriendly debris, they used a blower to "clean-up" at the end which meant that instead of being on my patio and walkways, it all went into the yard, gardens and woodpile.. I have photos but don't know how to post them here. They have not returned my call requesting that the owners come out to review the situation. I am also worried about whether the roof will actually hold up when it does rain and snow!! read more

They started a large project at a condo complex where I own a unit. Their operation took all their initial roof travel work directly over our unit. They failed to contact me before opening a skylight. Asphalt debris poured into our unit that I had to clean up. This also set off the smoke detectors that I also had to replace when they would no longer function. These had batteries and high voltage wiring. After sending them a reasonable bill they didn't respond for a month. When they did respond, they wanted to pay less. They did repair some drywall damage with good results. The roof has yet to be tested over time. Update as of six months later, I've heard of two leaks so far. They seem to have responded appropriately. Roof inspections and maintenance may end up costing the association quite a bit out of pocket not even at the one year point. read more

They were way beyond my expectations. Although we have a small home, we were treated as though we were owners of a large commercial company from the very beginning of the process. We were provided a written and very concise estimate. After approval, they conducted pre-construction meetings, and final project completion meeting and a walk though. Their product and service comes with an extensive warranty. We had the first phase of our roof (multi-level) completed during very inclement weather....18 degrees not considering wind chill. At every step in the project, the manager and crew reported exactly at the promised date and time. Phase I seems to have addressed the multiple leaks we were having. Phase II will be to complete the re-roofing, but we're waiting for more suitable weather. I would recommend this company to anyone needing roof repairs and stuccoing. Called them out to do a small roof repair. Six months later, it's leaking from the same place, so I call them up to come back out and fix it. They say, "We don't warranty our workmanship, so we'll have to work up a new estimate for you." I said, "No thanks, I'm going to call someone who stands behind the quality of their work." read more

I made an appointment a week in advance for an estimate and two hours before the appointment, I get a call canceling due to weather. Huh? I'm south of Santa Fe about 25 miles, the sun was shining and the sky was blue. I guess it was lightly raining, in Santa Fe. They said they couldn't come out because insurance prevents them from doing any work in inclement weather. It was an estimate for stucco repair! with just a walk around my property. This is a professional company with a really nice website too. I thought, if anyone could come through for me in the Land of Manna, it would be them, but I was wrong. This company is A typical of most businesses in this state. This was a job to where I was prepared to pay around $5,000 or more and they lost it. I called another stucco place out of Albuquerque that can do the job. We'll see. It simply amazes me that anywhere else in the country, cash is king and people work hard but not here in New Mexico. This actually is a good thing that SF Stucco canceled like this because it says alot about any future work they might have done for me on the house. If they aren't dependable right before the estimate then they won't be throughout the job. But then I'll never know will i? read more

Terrible experience in nearly every way. Two years later and it's still not done right. Very nice people, but it doesn't make up for the disaster. Our roof leaked six times in the first year after they installed a new roof, in the second year at least twice. Not acceptable. Lots of promises to fix and finish everything with no follow through. I regret it every day when I look at the unfinished work. And they even damaged an additional area of our property during the initial install. read more

We were absolutely thrilled by the professionalism of the owner and his team. 2. These were absolutely the finest workers I have ever seen. We loved that they were on-time, extremely courteous to us, very professional, did incredible work, worked really hard, were quiet, they cleaned up every day, and their supervisor kept us appraised of the work status on a routine/daily basis. BTW, the supervisor (a great gentleman!) was there all the time ensuring that everything was perfect. And the company owner visited the site and called us routinely to be sure we were happy. 3.
