The person who bid on it was previously a student there. He tried to use it and they told him he couldn't use it because he wasn't a new student even though it says nothing on the gift certificate that you have to be a new dancer. They told him to have him ask me to give him back his money that he paid for it. This is just another example of the sleazy business practices. So disappointing for the man who bought it. There are so many other places that are fun to dance that have ethics. Jenny in response to your comment with the two other gift certificates you donated for our auction this was not the reaction not honoring certificate. The certificate says nothing about needing to be a new student as a requirement. It also, costs me alot to put on an auction and to create materials to promote your business at our auction. Often times people by gift certificates to support and event and never use them but this time someone wanted to use it. The recipient called me last night and said you offered him a month of free group classes after I posted this. At least he got something for his money. So thank you.

The locker rooms are riddled with lockers that don't lock. The water fountains don't work. The bathroom sinks have no hot water and such low water pressure you can't even wash your hands. Things never get fixed. Treadmills down for several months. Saunas and steam rooms down for months at a time. Complaints are ineffective and downright useless. Hot tubs always have murky cloudy water. The floor surfaces in the men's locker room are extremely slippery, and conducive to falls and broken bones. The bench in the men's Handicap shower is literally falling out of the wall and needs to be propped up with another bench to keep from slamming down and shattering a knee cap. If you dare to sit on it, it could easily fall out of the wall causing a broken back or spinal injury. The steam room is ripe, dirty, and NEVER hot enough. And they keep raising the rates If you're thinking of joining, forget it. Things are bad and just keep getting worse. Working out is supposed to be energizing and uplifting. Instead, I usually leave angrily because this place is so poorly managed. I hope they change for the better soon, but probably will not happen.

One recommendation for Finley would be to pull someone who is holding a class behind. Its not benefiting them in anyway and a lot of attention gets put on them leaving the rest standing(swimming) around alone. Implement a plan where someone can retake the first week of classes instead of allowing then to go on to week 2 when they're still struggling with week 1 assignments. Just be aware of this if you decide to sign up for any of their courses.

For the little ones, you may not distinguish many differences between other dance studios. However, starting around 8-10 years old, Santa Rosa Ballet is the best school to study classical ballet in Sonoma County as it is the basic for variety genres of dance. My daughter has been accepted to San Francisco Ballet School summer session for 2 years by in person auditions and Royal Ballet School (London) on waitlist. Ballet teaches so much: memory, focus & concentration, quick thinking skills. Additionally it can be relaxing, fun, difficult, and when playing classical music it can also bring a positive and calming effect to the brain. All while releasing endorphins. Looking back, it's incredible to see not just the physical strength, but the emotional and mental strength it can bring your child.
