Here are my 2 complaints: 1) I have bought close to $20,000 from this place. I bought more than I needed in tile, and when I went to return, they said there was a 25% restocking fee. When I originally asked the sales person what if I buy more than I need, she said no worries just return it but conveniently left out that there's a restocking fee! And they don't give you your refund immediately - they mail a check even if I paid with a credit card. 2) my tile guy also showed me that much of the tiles were not perfectly precise - some had different dimensions than others in ce timers, which created more labor for my tile guy. This place is not very ethical and the customer service is subpar. Oh, and watch out for the credit card fee that is applied if you use a credit card! read more

With so many tile distributors and so much competition you would think that when you purchase a batch of bad defective tile the Manager and Owner of this establishment would be more conscious and business savvy to immediately correct the issue at hand. See photo - we purchased thousands of dollars worth of tile for (3) bathrooms. One of the floor tiles for the shower had issues, the glue was defective and didn't hold to the mesh for installation. Tiles were coming apart as you would pick them up to install. We immediately called to inform them of this issue. We drove to their warehouse purchased a new batch for the floor so the project wouldn't be delayed and left them the defective tiles while we waited days with no reply for reimbursement for the defective tiles. We had to call again to follow up - Manager refused and owner was just as useless. At the end of the day they lost much more than I did, for a lousy $127 credit that they should have given us, instead they lost thousands because our 2000 square feet of exterior tile floor that will be purchased with another distributor. Definitely will never purchase from them again. Prices aren't even comparable to other distributors and the only reason we did make the purchase with them was because they were recommended by our tile floor installer (not our bath installers). Nora, the salesperson that took our order was always very nice and attentive, but as a salesperson her hands are tied and these issues are resolved with upper management - which clearly are in the business to make money at any cost doesn't matter if they sell defective tile or not - and they are very much aware of this! read more

Stones are cheaper here than the ones at Lowe's (by approximately $4 a sq. ft!). This is a nice tile store with decent variety. Additionally, the huge warehouse in the back is managed efficiently and quickly. Also, you can buy Proflex here for the underlayment (the stuff you put in place under the tiles - like a corkboard but with higher IIC rating). read more

We purchased 1600 sq ft of a gorgeous Italian Porcelain tile from Santa Rosa. One crate into the installation we noticed a significant difference in the color of the tiles, despite the fact that the boxes all had the exact same numbering. I called our sales lady on the Friday of a holiday weekend quite concerned that this would create an extensive delay. To my pleasant surprise the owner came on Monday of that holiday weekend and on Tuesday morning brought the Miami reps of the Italian manufacturer. By Thursday the issue had been resolved to our satisfaction. The project turned out gorgeous. Kudos to my sales lady, Santa Rosa's owner and D'IMOLA's Miami reps. My wife and I went to look at flooring for our home and were considering getting stone for our master bath and we felt that the owner Ruben Perez did such a great job in helping us with our selection that we went with 24x24 porcelain for our floor and 18x18 tumble stone with mosaic accents for the walls of our master bath. Bought 24" x 24" white tiles made in China from Santa Rosa Tile for my entire house. Less than 1 month after the tiles were installed, the tiles starting developing gray stains, cloud like in shape at almost all the tiles. I called Santa Rosa and they told me that the tiles have no warranty and there was nothing they could do. I asked them if they could send somebody that at least could take a look at the tiles and could recommend a product or a way to get rid of the stains and they told me they could not do that and they hang up the phone on me. THIS IS THE REASON THE TILES ARE CHEAPER THAN LOWES. AT SANTA ROSA YOU GET LOW QUALITY, POORLY MADE CHINESE TILES. THERE IS NO WARRANTY OR SUPPORT FROM SANTA ROSA IF ANY PROBLEMS DEVELOP. Within a week after installation it started developing dark stains in the surface. Called the store. The salesperson responded that there is no warranty on the finish of the tile. I would consider this store has a wide of variety of offerings. Service was attentive during our visit. We were able to find the type of stone we were looking for and the sales person was knowledgeable and friendly. My only complaint would be the after visit attention. The sales person was to call us the following business day to give us accurate pricing on one of the materials we were in search of. Told us, "I'll call you Monday by 1pm, or if I haven't called you, you call me." That was a little off putting but I tried to stay optimistic. Monday rolled around, 1pm... 5pm... nothing. So the following day I called, spoke to the salesperson who told me oh yes, let me call and I will call you right back. So she waited for me to call her back so that she would call to check pricing and stock. She was very nice but not the type of service I expect from a sales person. While Home Depot & Lowes might have one or two varieties of a particular style, SANTA ROSA offers dozens. My wife and I were very impressed with Ruben who is the owner of SANTA ROSA. Ruben helped us consider different combinations and colors that we were not going to find at a hardware store. He personally came to our house and designed our whole tile project, we were looking for the perfect blend between modern and rustic style, needless to say we were not disspaointed. Although I am a do-it-yourself-er, Ruben suggested that I use one of his professional installers to avoid a remodel nightmare. BOY AM I GLAD I LISTENED!!! . My home now LITERALLY looks like it belongs in a design magazine. I wish I could post pictures of my home, we purchased a beautiful rustic wood porcelain tile for the majority of the house and used a more modern bamboo style porcelain tile for our master bathroom. Santa Rosa has the larges selection of glass tile that I have ever seen. In addition, the pricing is reasonable. I have shopped around and compared prices and no one could beat them in either selection or pricing. I bought my glass tile from Santa Rosa and I am extremely happy with my purchase. AVOID - Poor and Dishonest Service I highly recommend avoiding Santa Rosa. I paid $700 for tile and was promised that it would be delivered by a certain date. We scheduled the tile installer based on that date. When the tile was not ready by the promised date, we called Santa Rosa to inquire about the expected delivery date so that we could reschedule our installer. Each time we were told that they did not know the delivery date and would call us with the expected delivery date. After weeks of not having our calls returned (probably because they already had our money), we had to give up because we could no longer postpone the installation. After giving up, we went to Home Depot and bought the same tile for 1/3 the price. Now, Santa Rosa refuses to return any of our money. So, Santa Rosa has kept all of our money and has the tile. It is as if we threw our money into the wind. Repeated attempts to get some return of our money has completely failed. Santa Rosa is a dishonest company; don't do business with them. read more
