They have some of the best and most authentic Mexican food I ever had in dc. 10/10!! Pls check them out.

Great food at a great price! I had the Mamasita's burrito bowl with chicken. Although the restaurant was busy, our food was ready within just a couple minutes. You order at the counter and are alerted when your order is ready. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We ate outdoors to enjoy a beautiful spring day.

This place is sooo good. From the drinks to the spectacular food. This is a phenomenal Mexican Restaurant with good eats. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I think the ambiance is fairly chill vibes. They have sitting downstairs, upstairs and patio.

Fish tacos and black beans & rice.... El Seis De Mayo !!!

"El Seis De Mayo" Yes... I missed Cinco De Mayo, but was still feeling festive the next day and was craving a frozen margarita. And for sure Santa Rose Taqueria definitely didn't disappoint.... Best frozen drink I ever had !!! And their fish taco's were delicious and very fulfilling ( great taste, with all the necessary toppings ) I also was in the mood for a simple bowl of black beans & rice... once again Santa Rose flavor game was totally on point. The environment there ( customer wise ) is very diverse, with a super cool vibe throughout the establishment ( they have an outside deck and a dining area up top ! ) Definitely going to be a hot spot for the summer !!!!

Food value and service were reasonable, though for cheese nachos, my nachos were pretty scarce of cheese. Also if you want a quiet atmosphere, definitely dont go here during happy hour...it gets very loud. Had to scream to speak with someone right next to me. Ample seating between the upstairs and outside.

We're from Texas, where there's a taqueria on almost every corner, so we rarely choose Mexican food while traveling--our local Tex-Mex is just that good. However, I made an exception on this trip because Santa Rosa Taqueria is a restaurant by Spike Mendelsohn, who competed on Top Chef many years ago. As a fan, I try to visit Top Chef-affiliated restaurants whenever possible. We ordered loaded shrimp nachos, an asada steak taco on a flour tortilla, and a diablo shrimp taco on a flour tortilla. We shared all three. I didn't particularly enjoy the shrimp, (it was fried) on the nachos, but everything else was delicious! Loved their green sauce and their red had a real kick. I tried one of their cranberry margaritas. O M Gee. That was the strongest margarita I have ever had. I don't really like to taste alcohol, so I only drank half and was a little tipsy when I left, but for more 'seasoned' drinkers, there's a lot of 'bang for your buck' in just one drink! I can't wait to return and sample more delicious food from the menu!

Awesome taqueria with bomb Mexican street corn on the cob, plus tacos with pork belly, chicken, pastor and fish, as well as refreshing aqua frescas such as pineapple mango. There are also two levels where you can dine, the to level has more tables and chairs. They also have alcoholic beverages like margaritas as well. Cool mural designs on the walls too. Service also prompt (you get one of those buzzers). Check it out!

This is a happening taqueria that hits all the comfort food vibes! Great location in the Eastern Market/Capitol Hill area. Place is perfect for groups, by yourself, or with a small group of friends. Seating is plentiful; outside dining, inside and loft dining options available. All ordering is done at the counter so no need for waiting to be seated or trying to look for your waiter.

I came here with a friend for dinner before seeing a show at the Folger Theater and we really enjoyed it! There's not a ton of indoor seating but the patio is nice and large. The happy hour drink special is 2 margs and chips and queso/salsa for 22 bucks which I think is a great deal. AND you can pick any marg including frozen! We both got the mango frozen marg which was so delicious. It was incredibly mango flavored and also really creamy and not icy like some frozen drinks can be. I tried the fish, al pastor, and barbacoa tacos. Really enjoyed the fish and the sauciness of the barbacoa! I wish the al pastor was a bit more tender but the roasted pineapple was a nice touch. I am not typically around Cap Hill but a great option if you're in the area!

Good food hands down! They offer happy hour special which are a nice deal, especially for those happy hour needed days. They have outdoor seating but beware of the flies - not sure what they can do about that but it definitely takes away from the experience. Maybe add plants that deter bugs. The service is okay.

Really yummy shroom quesadilla! It came out quick and it was a bone to sit outside during happy hour.

Margarita Flight :-) pineapple is my favorite

Great birria and shrimp Diablo tacos! We also got a margarita flight that was quite delicious! Cute spot :-)

My favorite lunch spot on the hill! You can't go wrong with any of the dishes here. And they have lovely outdoor seating. It's a popular spot so I recommend putting in an order ahead of time!

The salsa tray has the salsa on one side and tomatillo salsa on the other. The tomatillo salsa was warm and oh so good! My wife had the Empanada Trio with chicken inside. She said they were delicious. I had the Enchilada Platter. I wanted to try their carne asada and the chicken so I ordered one of each. They were delicious!! The meat was seasoned well not salty and the same with the chicken. The best enchiladas I've had and I've eaten a lot of enchiladas in my life. The beans and rice were also very good and not salty or dry. Everything was hot but not burn your mouth hot. Well worth trying if have a craving for Mexican cuisine!

I'm not one to complain about complimentary chips and salsa, but man no flavor and no salt in either salsas nor on the chips! Bummer. The garlic shrimp were pretty solid, albeit a fairly small portion of 4 shrimps for 18 bucks. The lomo saltado really missed the mark. Grey looking steak a la Applebees, not much flavor overall in the dish... beans and rice were good! Shrimp fajitas were also very forgettable, shrimp were well cooked but lacked seasoning. The 'epic margarita' aka a coronarita was okay, margarita itself lacked brightness and was a bit too sweet.
