Taco de Al pastor Chicken Taco de Birria Chicken

Not usually one to have tacos two days in a row, but I'm glad I made the exception! I hadn't been to Taco Birria in over a year, and today's visit was a pleasant surprise. I tried the Al Pastor and chicken tacos, both were packed with flavor, and the spicy red sauce at the end really brought it all together. It's a small, no frills spot with a few tables and high chairs if you want to dine in. The food quality has definitely gone up since my last visit. While the customer service could be a little warmer, I could see myself becoming a regular if they keep this level of flavor and consistency, especially since it's right around the corner from my office.

Taco de Birria is a hidden gem. It is owned by Rice Bar, and there is very little advertising outside, so it looks like a bibimbap joint. It could definitely use a little makeover. Inside, it is very plain and unassuming. They have a tarp with the menu items listed, all of which are tacos, quesadillas, and soup. All that being said, Do not sleep on this place! It is delicious!! The birria tacos and bean quesadillas were insanely good! I loved the meal and will definitely be going back. The meat was juicy and tender. They garnish the dish with radishes and pico. It is truly so yummy. I encourage you to check it out.

Stopped in recently - straightforward menu. went with a chicken quesadilla and beef birria burrito. Quesadilla was nice, a bit salty. Not sure what makes the burrito birria, just a standard burrito. was big and messy but not particularly memorable. you choose your toppings similar to a chipotle and the salsas are ok. Also tried their consomme but it was pretty flat/watery in flavor.

Stopped by here for lunch with coworkers. It's a Chipotle style concept where you order and tell the employee what you want down the assembly line. I ordered the taco de birria beef. The beef was quite tough and I found the birria lacking any robust flavors. This meal was quite underwhelming. Although the location is convenient for me to grab a quick lunch; I might have to seek another establishment when craving for Mexican food.

You just can't beat a great birria taco or burrito. The employees are very nice and the food is amazing. I ordered a few tacos and they come loaded with meat and cheese. My burrito was massive and very good. The location has some seating but I only went for take out. Their birria soup for the tacos is FIRE. Highly recommend a stop at this location.

I was in town for a wedding and was starving looked around to see what was close and saw Taco de Birroa was a short walk so decided to give it a go. I ordered some chicken tacos and Burris ramen. The chicken tacos weren't too much to write about but the Birria ramen!!!!! I got the beef the first time and wow wow wow. Super hot and fresh and so so flavorful!!!!!!! I couldn't believe that this came from this smalll shop. The food was so good that I returned the next day and instead of chicken tacos ordered Birria tacos and the Birria ramen again. The Birria tacos were so good again flavorful. Cheesy. Til today there's only one other place that I've had Birria this good. If you're in the area you should definitely try this place!

I stopped here with some work colleagues. Nothing on the menu says it has anything vegan. However I asked and they gave me what they could. It was good. I'm not a fan of making do and I am sure if you ask there may be more options. It's a small spot with limited seating. Cool for a quick lunch.

I've been searching for this spot for quite some time now. So instead of relying solely on a search engine...I CALLED!! This taco spot is inside of The Rice Bar on 2nd street N.E. LET'S GO!! . Where I am: http://ricebardc.com/ . Location Reviewed: 1300 2nd St., N.E. Washington D.C. . Menu Includes: Beef Birria & Chicken Tinga Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, & Consumé, Noodles, Rice, Chips, Salsa, Guac, & Beverages. . Items Reviewed: They're Quesabirria Beef Tacos (3 tacos with rice, onions, consumé & cilantro $12.95). STAMP!! Perfectly marinated beef, à crispy flour shell, cheesy with a rich, hearty consumé. Their Chicken Tinga Quesabirria Tacos (3 tacos with rice, onions, consumé & cilantro $12.95). STAMP!! Plenty of protein, well seasoned, slightly spicy, tasty!! Their Beef Birria Soup (beef broth with noodles, & shredded beef $11.95). STAMP!! Warm, thick...you can drink their consumé by itself!! Their Birria Beef Quesadilla (with Pico de Gallo, beef, sour cream, verde & Roja salsas & cheese on a flour tortilla $6.95). DELICIOUS!! All the core ingredients were there...tasty, however it got soggy quickly. Their Chicken Burrito (with rice, black beans, chicken, Pico de Gallo, sour cream, & hot sauce $12.95). LIKE THAT!! Stuffed, extra spicy, & fulfilling, again the flour tortilla got soggy quickly. They're Tamarind Juice ($2.95). STAMP!! That AND their Horchata were refreshing!! . Customer Service: On Point . Online Navigation: Difficult...it was almost impossible to find their menu. . Parking: Rough...high ticketed area!! . Recommendations: Get their Birria Tacos, & Tamarind!! =STAMP =LIKE THAT =DELICIOUS =DECENT =PASS =NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

Tacos were 5/5. I wish we had one in Virginia Beach because I'd be there weekly. Next time I'm in DC I HAVE to go again

The ceviche is really good, can never go wrong with ceviche, especially if you're going tapas style. The ají de gallina, lomo saltado and lamb are so freaking good, the meat is tender, the sauces are perfection, and when you mix the rice to with the sauce it's absolutely delicious. Heard about this place a while, finally tried it out a couple times now, already can't wait to go back!

My first time trying Peruvian food. Apparently, it's heavily influenced by the Chinese immigrant…read morecommunity, so it's somewhat Chinese in a way. You can definitely taste some Cantonese influences. Corazón: Very unique. The beef heart was grilled very tender, and the spicy and tangy dipping sauce was refreshing. I've also never had such large kernels of sticky corn before. Lomo Saltado: Similar to Cantonese black pepper and beef cubes stir-fry, but noticeably coarser. The meat was a bit tough and dry, the sauce didn't coat it well, and it wasn't very flavorful. Chaufa Mixto: Chaufa = chaofan 炒飯 (fried rice in Chinese) A very straightforward transliteration. Similar to Chinese fried rice, it had plenty of wok hei 鑊氣 (wok aroma), which is rare in the US. The beef and chicken were quite tender; however, the shrimp wasn't fully cooked, and you could clearly taste the raw texture inside. Vegetales Salteados: Seasoned exactly like Lomo Saltados, it's even stranger to use it for stir-frying vegetables... It was entirely for the vegetables' benefit; otherwise, it was completely unnecessary. Suspiro: Dulce de leche custard, meringue, and passion fruit glaze, sprinkled with cinnamon powder--it was far too sweet.
