Nice, clean and large gym. Did not visit the entire campus other than the gymnasium for a jiu-jitsu tournament. School employees were very friendly and professional.

Beautiful campus! SCC is so pretty! Surrounded by mostly green hills and a few houses. Cute stores across the street! Parking all around campus so chances are you get to park pretty close to class. All the staff are friendly and approachable. The grounds are kelts really clean. Make sure you take your class schedule with all the details to the bookstore so they make sure you get the correct books. The cafe has been upgraded so they make açaí bowls, coffees, sandwiches, pizza, and all that sort of snacks. Student Health has registered nurses, medical doctors, and licensed clinical psychologists to help the students. Like a real clinic. There's also a veterans center, disabled students program, a transfer center next to academic counseling, a program that caters to students wanting to become teachers, a big 2 story library, and lots of places to sit and do homework around campus. The website has been updated and looks nice.

Public safety is also really wonderful with you and they're really caring. One of the Public Safety officers was comforting me when I was taken to the hospital on a suicide attempt at 18. This place also has an annual event called Take Back the Night where survivors of sexual assault speak out at the Fish Interfaith Center. Speaking of the Fish Interfaith Center, this place is also incredibly inclusive to people from different religious backgrounds. This place celebrates religious holidays for students from different religions. I find that really nice. I also love how this place allows people, who aren't Chapman students or staff, to come to this place. I met an older man who wanted to know how to find this place for an Iftar dinner. I showed him where it was and he went in here, and he got the food. This place has also been really wonderful to me when I was a victim of financial sextortion at 18. I met a lot of people who were amazing and kind to me after I shared with them about my experience. I had a case manager who comforted me when I was going through the trauma of this. I also had a professor who comforted me and told me that financial sextortion wasn't my fault at all. The 4th floor on the Argyos Forum is a great place for career fairs, and a great place to meet with potential employers. I got a chance to meet with a Secret Service employer who was such a wonderful man. This place also has wonderful areas to take your graduation photos from. In fact, if you come here during the months of April to mid-May, you'll find lots of graduating students posing for photographers.

The only review you need - June 2023…read more After reading the reviews (most of the bad ones are really old) I felt compelled to offer my review having just completed my Bachelors degree this week. Though CCU is not your traditional college, it definitely has its place in further education. It is super convenient for someone like me who works full-time+, on top of having a two kid family. I was referred to CCU by a former student because I had limited time to complete my degree for an upcoming LT promotional opportunity and their self-paced program was perfect for me. The price was very reasonable too. If you're like me, 25 years into your career and just need that BA/BS degree to promote, this is your best choice. Education Like I said, the timing and class structure are convenient, but it is by no means easy. You still have to read, pay attention, write a lot, and pass the exams. I'm a good writer for the most part, but I did have a couple of papers failed/kicked back because I rushed through them (the feedback from the professor was spot on). So, no you can't just submit anything and pass. It's open book, but still challenging. I actually learned quite a bit at my old age! Staff 5 star staff, you won't convince me otherwise. Debbie during the admissions process, and Taylor my student advisor during my coursework, were outstanding. Communicated often, answered promptly, and were just nice helpful people all around. They didn't just be nice to get me to sign for the money part then leave me out to dry. In fact, the promotional opportunity I talked about came unexpected early, and I needed an unlikely miracle favor. Taylor and each one of my professors were EXTREMELY quick and helpful, and made sure my miracle came true. I have nothing but outstanding things to say about CCU. It opened up a life-changing door for me. I Just bought me a couple T-shirts and a sweatshirt from prep sportswear, that's how proud I am of them!

More importantlly, before applying to Trinity I inquired about their policy on a person having a conviction on their record and I was told they're only concerned with felonies. Trinity is a Christian Law School & instead of speaking to me about the convictions and their unspoken concerns (with the opportunity to explain) Trinity made assumptions that the conviction was a reflection of my character. Trinity Executive Director, Doug Eaton basically said I was denied admissions "at this time"-insulting my intelligence and knew they had no intentions of letting me in, period.
