I asked for the bouquet to look like the one pictured online, and they charged me an arm and a leg for it (over $100!!!!) It arrived, and it doesn't look like the photo. Garish colors that are frankly nauseating. If you have an online catalogue, you should make the bouquet look like the one pictured, not swap out such trashy colors. Along with a lot of other mildly last-minute planners, I found myself looking for florist-quality flowers the afternoon before Valentine's Day. I happened to be out near Westfield and figured I could just stop in somewhere. I didn't mind waiting, I figured I would have to. Well: Stop #1 - Google says open, they say closed. Stop #2 - Open, but "too busy to do anything for me." Their words, not mine. Stop #3 - Google says open, they say closed. Stop #4 - Santos, or bust! After "illegally" parking in the strip mall across the street (I'm sure that I am not the only one) I walked in and was immediately hit in the face with multiple tables of prearranged bouquets, in vases. Each one looked bright, fresh, and healthy. I wasn't in the market for any more vases, so I asked if it would be possible to get something custom. At 5pm. The day before Valentine's Day. It wasn't a problem at all. They must have a flower factory back there. I gave them a price point and pointed to some things I liked, and in about 10 minutes, I walked out with a gigantic custom arrangement. And by gigantic, I mean gigantic. I would never be able to get this many flowers for the price in NYC or even in JC. To date, some of the flowers are still opening up, and are drinking plenty of water - I expect they will be alive and on display well into next weekend. Highly recommend! read more

The first thing I was going to do is call Santos florist. I've been using them for literally 30 years. At the time I was trying to order online and they said that my delivery was too far since the funeral was going to be in Raritan. Needless to say, I called Santos early in the morning explained my situation, and by the next day my beautiful spray was delivered and went above and beyond any expectation this establishment is A 1 class. On May 11th my Husband and I were celebrating our two month Anniversary. Though a brief moment in time for some it meant/means a lot to us. I wanted to recognize this special moment by sending a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my husband. After searching their selection of bouquets, I settled on the "Beautiful in Blue Bouquet" and threw in a "Box" of chocolates to seal the deal or so I thought. It seems that this shop does not honor the wishes of the "Online" customer. Instead of sending "Beautiful in Blue", my Husband received a spring arrangement: yellow, pink,purple etc. Though nice,it was not what I ordered. Instead of sending chocolates in a "Box", he was sent chocolates in a bag, though probably delicious, that is not what I ordered. Instead of rectifying the mishap, mistake or total dis-regard of my order, I was made to feel devalued as a customer. There was no urgency placed on trying to make a wrong-right!. I was told "It was a mistake, can't be corrected today, will be delivered tomorrow, but you must return what was delivered in order to receive the correct order." There was definitely more importance placed on receiving their merchandise back, that I didn't want/order in the first place over making certain my special day was not ruined and that my Husband received what I ordered on the date of purchase, to recognize/celebrate our special day. Bate and switch is my overall experience. The box of chocolates advertised was a "Bag" of chocolates. And to top it off, The "Beautiful in Blue" arrangement that was sent the next day was barely blue, there were 2 Hydrangeas and blue paper, Not what was advertised! Will not order from them again, at least not using their website and will do everything possible to get a partial refund of monies spent, that was never offered. read more

I used Santos for my wedding last year (summer 2018) and the flower design was all underwhelming- importantly, not what I had envisioned and asked for. The flowers themselves were fresh, but for a wedding that had taken a long time to plan, it was disappointing that the floral design was a bust. I should have foregone my deposit when my sister in law didn't love her flowers, who got married a couple months before me. My specific disappoints were in the sweetheart table (photo attached). I had asked for lush greenery to weave all around the front of sweetheart table, and also some on the fireplace directly behind this table. What I received was a mere footlong piece of shrubbery in the middle of the table-- so the rest of the table in the side was bare!! (and then someone at the venue put those other flowers on/under the table to make it look even weirder but that part wasn't Santos' fault). The sweetheart table looked really, really bare.. the opposite of "lush". I should have also known when the manager taking the order barely wrote any notes. Also, to be comprehensive- the bouquets, centerpiece flowers, etc. were all "fine". I wasn't in love with them, they also weren't what I had wanted, but I wasn't as upset about them as I was w/ the sweetheart table. I could live with the other florals (though obviously this is not what any bride wants to feel on her day & would rather love everything). I had a great experience sending belated anniversary flowers to my sister-in-law in New Jersey (I am in the Bay area in California) via Santos. I was a little nervous about sending flowers based on an online Google search. Originally, I was going to use a online flower delivery service, but decided to send them directly from a local florist in Newark after reading some negative reviews about online deliveries. I called Santos this morning after finding them on Yelp and was helped by Paula who was professional and efficient. We also had an email exchange so I could provide her with the message to accompany the flowers rather than rely on providing that over the phone. Two hours after placing the order, I got a thank you email from my sister-in-law who works in downtown Newark (surprising, despite its bum rap, Newark does have a nice downtown area with offices!) telling me that the flowers were beautiful. When I placed the order with Paula at Santos, I mentioned that I would appreciate a quick delivery and they said they would try to get it there by 4 PM. But it arrived much quicker. One suggestion for Santos website- I signed up for the newsletter assuming that I would get a discount code for my first order. That is pretty common practice with online sales and it would be nice. Also, the website did not save my information so when I edited information, it lost my information and looped me back to start. You might want to have someone "play" with the registration and buying process in order to identify glitches. However, the old-fashioned phone worked out fine. read more

My husband and I got married on 10/24/15 and we decided to go with Santos as our florist for our special day. To say Manny and his team exceeded our expectations is an understatement. People are still talking about how beautiful the flowers were, from the church to the bridesmaids bouquets, to my vintage centerpieces with hanging pearls, they really blew me away. I had not one worry the entire day about them, I did not hear from them, they just made sure absolutely everything was perfect and in place and delivered at the correct time. If the in laws see this review I might get in trouble cuz he's a "family friend" but I'm not too happy with Santos florist. I just got married and the owner of Santos is a friend of my in laws, so I had no choice but to use him. I worked with him directly, and he was a nice guy, but he didn't really want to work with me and what I wanted and he gave me attitude. All I wanted was a ball of flowers in a low vase as centerpieces (looks better than I'm describing) and also use them on pillars along the aisle. How hard is that? He argued with me that it would look dumb so I had to get big arrangements. Ok, so I gave in a got some big ones and some small ones. But when it came to the day, they used all the little ones along the aisle instead of the big ones, that I just had to have. Idiot. And, since I was having big and little, they were supposed to arrange the centerpeices a certain way on the tables, which they didn't. Idiot. Don't argue with me and tell me I have to do something, then not even do it that way. Plus, he said he was gonna give us a deal, but he really didn't. Thanks for nothing. read more

Everything for my wedding on 7/23/11 was great! I completely forgot to add this addendum at that time. My flowers were great and held up well (I had Casa Blanca Lilly's in the summertime!). The floral arrangements for the tables were amazing, my guests asked me over and over again who the floral vendor was. The girls boquets were exactly what we envisioned...classy, splash of color and elegant. My flower girl bouquet did not hold up, it was a ball of flowers with a handle for her to hold. It was however a 100 degree heat index day. Everything else was great and it was the small touches that I whole heartedly appreciated...from the placement of the candle votives, to the sprinkles of rose petals, etc...great job Santos! We saw a mock-up of the centerpieces about a month before the wedding and they were beautiful (and looked exactly the same on our wedding day) and the bouquets were gorgeous! Flowers arrived on-time.
