I found the wonderful Mandy at Saol purely by accident. I walked past a woman who had the exact haircut I wanted (and I happened to need one that day, after putting it off because my local hair stylist quit). She was coming out of a salon, so I walked right in, and Mandy very nicely accommodated me (that woman had been her last client for the day). When the owner, Soneya, asked if I wanted some wine during my cut, I knew I'd found my happy place. Then, my haircut came out perfect, and I knew I would be back. I love the comfortable and poppy decor. The friendly staff. Even the location is perfect the only thing that stinks is that I now have to drive all the way to Yakima every 6-8 weeks, lol. Took my son in to get a haircut. The scheduled stylist wasn't their and Soneya offered to cut my sons hair. I should have left but we were there and she offered. The haircut was rushed and she was rude and manhandled my son. She didn't even bother to clean the trimmings off of him. I wanted a fade and she said I needed to go to a barber for that. I was like damn, you call yourself a stylist and you can't do a fade? Anyway, they don't know how to work with kids. Went somewhere else to get him cleaned up. read more

My wedding hair and makeup girl canceled on me a week before my wedding. I was desperate, everyone was booked, I called every place I could find in the area. Soneya was the only person to get back to me. She was booked up and didn't even do wedding makeup/hair anymore, but still empathized with my situation and said she would make time and the exception for me. She was amazing! I had scheduled haircuts today and there was some confusion with the stylist who thought it was for tomorrow. I was a little frustrated because we had driven 35 miles to go there.... No problem...even though Mandy was the only one working, she said if I could come back in an hour she would get it done!
