When my car was towed and I called Sapps in Port Wentworth to chat about what their business hours are in order for me to come pick up my vehicle, I had a VERY rude woman answer the phone who said her name was Patty, she hung up on me simply for asking why they close at 4pm. When I called back and asked for her name she was nasty again. She was needlessly rude and had a nasty attitude. She also told me the line was recorded so if you're her manager reading this, maybe you can listen for yourself how awful she is to your customers. However, when I went to pick up my car I was told it was being kept at the Richmond Hill lot, and when I arrived there, I had a totally opposite experience with MIKE the employee who was at that location! He was above and beyond friendly and kind and professional - answering any questions I had with knowledge and class, unlike Patty. It's rare to find a tow yard employee with THAT much professionalism and friendliness. If I were Sapps I would promote MIKE Petersen! Only giving 2 stars because of Patty, would give 5 if it were just about Mike. read more

If I could ZERO STAR I would. Clearly this place is in Dire need of an overhaul. There is no credibility in what they say to you. My car was towed due to an accident on Wednesday and taken to their lot. Friday I asked that it be towed to my home. Working out the logistics, after given wrong information-Everything is a kinda whom ever you speak too.. I still don't have my car. It is Saturday after 10:00, and I don't have my car. Why Chatham County has this company is definitely suspect. Unprofessional would be compliment. I just want my car. Surely there are towing companies that can accommodate this need and offer a resemblance of customer service or a care. If changes, so will my review. read more

No one wants to have to have their vehicle towed. But Sapps made the pick up a lot less painful. We traveled 2 hours to the tow yard only to find out our vehicle wasn't there. They quickly made arrangements for us to pick up our vehicle and get back on the road. Thanks again for everyones help! read more

Jeremy was great with towing our vehicle and very thorough and I would give him extra stars. However, we were quoted $120 by him at the time of pickup and the police officer assisting heard as well. The company charged $210 once they received my credit card information. When I called after reviewing my credit card account I asked if they could honor the price we were quoted, the girl on the phone basically told me no. I just want to why we are almost $100 off without any approval. I never signed for anything or received a receipt either. I'd like the difference refunded to my Amex. read more

James/Jim, one of their office managers/operators got stuck and left holes and tread marks in my yard, and didn't resolve my problem. He also lead me on for 3 days saying he would send someone out at 9am the next morning, then 5pm, then 9am the following day. I had to call every time when they didn't show, they did not let me know what was going on unless I called. They also put other calls in front of mine, which resulted in them jerking me around for 3 days. When I called the 3rd day at 10am, an hour after they were supposed to be there, they bounced me around on hold, told me Jim was out on a call and was the only one who could operate the machine, yelled over me and hung up. I called back immediately and got Jim at the office. "I thought you were out on a call, Jim". "Uh, yeah, I just got back". Sure, Jim, sure. He said they didn't want my business because he heard me arguing with the woman in the office, refused to address the damage to my yard, and then hung up. Jim and their office staff at Sapp's have shown themselves to be incompetent, rude, and possess a flagrant disregard for property and professionalism. I probably would've overlooked the damage to my yard and their 3 days of no call no shows if they had resolved my issue (and I still would have paid for their service). But my yard is a mess and they are refusing to fix it in addition to having wasted 3 days of my time. This company is not worth your time, money, or goodwill if you can avoid using them. read more

My boyfriend and I got stuck when his car broke down at Ft. Pulaski. The guy came and got us, gave us a ride (which was nice), but took us the long way back to Pooler (why?...uh yeah...) and recommended one of the worst places to get boyfriend's car fixed. We didn't know any better because we're not from here and we were in a bind. Took 2 days to fix the car, and we waited and waited for them to call us, then on the third day, we called and the guy says, "Oh yeah it's been ready since yesterday." UGH!!! Lets start off with the fact that the owner Mr.Sapp as well as the supervisor Ashley are VERY rude and also come off as racist. My car keys were lost by tow driver and they were very nasty about the whole situation. Fast forward to arriving to collision center to find that several of my belongings are missing and Sapps were the only ones with my vehicle as well as keys . Sapps towed my car to Savannah from Tybee. They left it unlocked and with the keys in the ignition. Surprise, it was vandalized. I'm now looking at $1000 to get everything done so that it can even have the original repairs done. I tried to speak to them about it today and was hung up on. read more

Called Sapp's and within 5 minutes of calling dispatcher, the driver had already called me. Estimated his arrival to be within 30 or 45 minutes, he was there in 15. I absolutely recommend Sapp's. I have use their services before and I'll do so again read more

I would not use this service again, They have to be the biggest Jerks and unorganized service I know. I was recommended to there service by Copart. My driver was headed there to pickup a large equipment close to Copart closing time. I had set up for their assistance many hours before my driver was to arrive. He calls me and says Sapps wont do the job. I call James At Sapps and ask the question. He said I'll send someone over there right away. The Drivers got there and would not load the vehicle until it was paid. I had already given the secretary my info. Was not given the amount. So I called again and Ask James how much. He told me the amount. Due to the size of the project I wanted loaded before I paid to ensure no damage. They never had to tow anything just load. I called my driver and the other tow truck drivers would not load it. They wouldn't even get on the phone with me to explain, finally when they did they for some reason thought the whole thing was funny, I explained to him that there is nothing funny about this matter. Then he said well it's after 5 and nobody can take a card over the phone. I hung up once again and called the office. James had went home and some other guy answered. Got it done and finally loaded. Creating my driver to have to pull over not to far down the road because of logbook issues. I will never use them, and I hope no one else does. I don't run my business that way. read more

I should have written this review a long time ago. About two months ago I was trying to have an RV trailer moved back to Midway,Ga. The first driver to take my rig to Midway called me and said he was taking the trailer back to Savannah because he could not get it on the lot. I called Jackie at Sapp's and she spoke to the driver and then called the original driver that towed the trailer off the lot. His name is Lawrence. He talked the other driver through getting the trailer back on the lot. Finally I had the opportunity to go to Midway and check things out.. To my surprise the trailer was not set back up properly. I called Jackie and after speaking with her she investigated the situation for me and called me back. At a time when people have a tendency to just do enough to get by at their jobs or just be plain rude, it is nice to know there are still some decent people. One bad person does not define a company but it could. Thanks to Jackie and Lawrence my experience with Sapp's ended well. Jackie made arrangements for Lawrence to come out to the lot and make right what was done prior. I will forever be indebted to both of them. For Jackie and Lawrence's pleasant and willing attitude towards someone they did not even know. Sapp's gets five stars from me because of the decency and kindness of these to people. Thank you Jackie & Lawrence You are great. As far as this other employee if I was Sapp's he would be reprimanded. He is not representing your company well. read more

My car was towed here and the low life thieves stole items from my car. BEWARE these people will steal the steering wheel out of your car if its left there long enough. I'm surprised the tires were still on my car when it left there yard. I can't believe they stole part of my car jack. But I'm sure they will get the other part from their next victim. My car was broke down on Tybee Island in Savannah. After my insurance company's third party vendor was having trouble finding someone to tow my car, I called the Tybee Island police department to see who they recommended for car towing. I called Sapp's Towing and asked the guy if he would go and tow my car that was at the Arby's on Tybee Island. I told him that my insurance company's tow company never showed up so would he please go and tow it. My daughter lives an hour away. This was about 2 in the morning. He said the only way he would tow it would be if I was standing there with the car. Being that it would take an hour to get there and it was 2 in the morning, I told him that I couldn't but that the key was under the driver's side mat. He said basically he was not going to tow it unless I was there. I told him that that was ridiculous and I would call the police back and tell them not to recommend them anymore. The police had called and placed the order as my son's car was off the road. The tow truck driver was great, and the person in the office was professional. Unfortunately some steroid-chewing manager happened to be walking behind the counter and jumped my question as to removing the personal items from the car. "You not getting a thing until the bill is paid. I won't be stuck with this car." I stated that was my purpose while I was standing in the office, and he didn't have to be so rude about the whole thing. He continued to stalk about the office, trying to put a complete sentence together. Told him again how unprofessional he was. Don't think he knew the meaning of "unprofessional", too many letters. Overcharged, supposedly tarped the vehicle which consisted of a piece of plastic which no one tied down, completely out of line as they know they've got your car, so pay up. Will register a complaint with Savannah-Chatham Metro also. read more

My friend was in a car accident. Called Sapp's to tow the car to an auto body shop; this happened on a Wed. My friend has a slight head injury and couldn't remember who towed the car, so starting on Thursday morning together we called 11 different tow companies, including Sapp's. Friday we called Sapp's AGAIN because my friend all if a sudden remembered the name if the tow company. We called Sapp's AGAIN. From Thursday morning to Monday morning each and every person (all women) we spoke to, asking if they had the car, told us "NO, we don't go out to the area you're saying the car was towed from" or "NO, we don't have that car her on our lot, "NO, we don't have any paperwork on that car." This went on until we went to the scene of the accident, walked into the store where my friend called the tow company from, because his phone was dead and he needed a phone book and the same guy that was working the past Wed was there today and guess what, he said SAPP's towed the car. So we called Sapp's for the 4th time, but this time a man answered the phone. We asked him the same thing we've been asking the previous SAPP's employee and he answered "yes, it was here, it was towed to Ward's." I angrily told him that we've been looking for this truck since Thursday and ask him why no one in SAPP's office had a clue. His response was "I don't know, they could have just asked me!" Is this a scam? Are we getting the run around so that SAPP's or Ward's can hold the car longer while the fees add up!!! Oh and of course $100 is now missing from the truck. read more
