We were dreading spending the evening and half the following day getting towed to a tire store and replacing the tire, plus the logistics to get to our hotel and to the tire store. Fortunately, when we contacted the insurance to get roadside assistance, they needed to know where to tow it. That started a tire store search. In the search Waters Tire Shop advertised 24 hour service. We called and after asking about the tire size they said they would arrive in an hour and would call on the way. That allowed us to go get dinner while we waited. After an hour we were wrapping up dinner and they called. I left my wife to get the check while I walked back to the car. I don't know how much of this insurance will pay, but even if they don't cover any of it, it was worth it the saved hassle of a tow. The service team arrived with a tire and all the tools to replace it on the spot. 30 minutes later the tire was replaced and I was driving to the restaurant for my wife. All told the flat cost us less than 2 hours of lost time between locating a solution and getting it repaired. And we were able to stay on our travel plan. It was the smoothest flat tire experience ever. Since it was in the evening, the tire stores were closed, so the service team supplied us with a used tire. It has sufficient tread for us to finish our trip to NY and back to Florida. We will see if we need a new tire when we get home. I will definitely remember this and similar services for tire repairs on the road.

I needed my right axle, both front shocks, transmission/engine mount, transmission seal, starter…read moreand radiator fan replaced. After getting my shocks replaced I started hearing a noise coming from the right front tire, I brought this up two or three times to the mechanics, well he didn't actually inspect anything just drove it around, then told me the shocks were settling, which I did not believe was accurate. Finally yesterday afternoon I took it and got an inspection done at Firestone and the mechanic at Firestone indicated they did not think the transmission mount was replaced or the other strut was replaced either and he did not push my axle in all the way. Firestone told me my car is extremely unsafe and to be very careful when taking right turns. I sent the reports over to the mechanics to which he initially would not address the issues. Please avoid! I paid for services that were not completed. The mechanic in question was Yandres. Now mind you, they did finally come out and fix the issues but it was only after I threatened legal action. Seems to me like the mechanic was pocketing my money and not replacing parts. It never should have gotten to this point, they should've done what they needed to do and it would've been fine.

I am sad to report this final update. A week or so after the work was done, I began to hear a…read moremetal rattle when the vehicle was first started in the morning. I would hear the rattling for a few minutes till the vehicle warmed up, then it went away. The 2nd time it happened, the transmission had difficulty leaving park and going into reverse. I called the Lincoln dealership in Savannah as the owner of this mobile service made it clear, he was not interested in continuing our relationship based on previous interaction. JC Lewis Lincoln said the transmission was 2 QUARTS LOW on transmission fluid and that the procedure for post startup and lubricating the planetary gears didn't seem to be followed, which I can confirm, the vehicle was NOT driven per the Lincoln dealership requirements. It is now obvious to me, that the Lincoln Procedure for transmission fluid flush was NOT followed and it is probable that the tech did not know what was required and by extension is NOT CERTIFIED to work on a Lincoln. I am fortunate to catch this HUGE and unacceptable mistake and have it rectified before severe consequences. CAUTION: BUYER BEWARE.

Towing company attempted to illegally tow my vehicle from a legal city parking space on West Upper…read moreFactors Walk, directly across from the Hyatt Regency in Savannah. There was signage indicating it was a legal parking space during a legal time. Sign says that there is no parking ONLY Wednesday and Friday between 3am and 6am. This was Monday at around 10am. Tow company forced me to pay $175 or confiscate my vehicle. Tow truck driver claimed it was reserved for the carriage stand but the signage clearly shows the carriage stand is only the space that was entirely behind my vehicle.

Our car was towed off of a private property with NO AUTHORIZATION form, we even asked the guy who called Crystal Wrecker's to have us towed and he told us that he didn't have to sign anything-- which is illegal in relation to "O.C.G.A. 44-1-13 and City of Savannah Ordinance 6-1406." We called the non emergency line to confirm this illegal practice, and even had to have the officer come with us to Crystal Wrecker's office. Some of their signs and documents are outdated too, pointed out by the officer himself. Their displayed Private Property Towing License expired in December 2024, posted right next to their office window. She says that we cannot get our car back until Monday morning at 8 am when their offices open, unless another car gets towed and someone goes back to the office, to which they said they would give us a call. We call again to ask about the pricing, as there's a sign posted in front of the spot we got towed at saying MAXIMUM 100$, this time a guy picks up, tells us to take the sign home to where we are from as a souvenir and tells us "Good luck trying to get someone to get your car back for you before Monday for 100$." Obviously they don't call and we are forced to go to their offices Monday morning with a cop by our side to advocate for their illegal practices. We ask for the signed authorization form from the property owner to prove that this was a legal tow. The lady at the desk disappears for at least 15 minutes, then comes back and mumbles something under her breath about not being able to "reach the driver" and says to us "you guys can just have your car back, it's not worth the money." Yeah, I'm sure it's not worth getting your business shut down haha. PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY TRY TO SCAM YOU LIKE THEY TRIED TO US.
