I feel like I always have someone to help me I have…read morereceived the best care here beyond my expectations.

Omg where do I begin. The receptionist were very friendly, but it's whoever is in charge of running…read morethings or updating their new computers system or telephone system. First they never answered when I try calling couple of weeks & I even emailed them but never got a reply back. I was scheduled today and I even filled out all the documents that was emailed to me a month ago, so that I didn't have to do that at the office, plus I requested from my job for couple of hours for this appointment today. Anyways the receptionist said I had to sign the consent form, which I did all that online but I guess not everything was signed. So now I'm sitting waiting to be called to speak with the specialist and nothing. By then I was so frustrated and I went to tell the receptionist isn't the counselor ready for me yet, and she said yes but theirs still more forms that you need to fill out, now I was getting upset and told her I filled out everything online when you guys emailed me the website. Then she says nothing is showing up that they got a new system and nothing was transferred. I than said how horrible the system runs here in this place and I wasted my time and money, which thankfully I got back. I told them I'm no longer coming back to this place again. I was hesitant to come at first because I saw the reviews how horrible it was here, but I wanted to give them a chance. So please review before going here. I wish I didn't have to click on a but I had to in order to post this.

This review is about only one phone call as a new patient for anyone seeking out a new therapist,…read moreand how I was treated. If you are seeking a new therapist, please read this first. I was referred to Healing Hearts by my insurance. I left a message and got a call back later that day. I missed the name of the person who called me back, but I do remember that she introduced herself as the owner. From the beginning of the phone call, until the end of the phone call, it seemed like she was doing everything she could to NOT help me. I introduced myself and told her I was referred by my insurance because I was only comfortable with in-person therapy and my insurance had told me that Healing Hearts did in-person therapy. She responded and repeated my interest to me. Take note of this. She asked if I had tried therapy in the past, and I told her yes, but it was a bad experience. Instead of trying to make this experience better, it started to fall apart. She asked why I was seeking therapy. I told her that among other things, i was recently diagnosed with an incurable disease and have been told by many people and doctors to seek mental therapy as a general rule. Ay which point, she told me "Oh, I'm sorry.I don't treat that disease." Of course she doesn't, and I told her as much. I had to ask her if she was aware of the mental toll this news could have on someone and at which point, I was met with a contemptuous "I understand that, sir." That was right off the bat, assuming I was too dumb to call the right specialist. Then, she goes through the standardized questionnaire. I'm not suicidal, I'm not a danger to myself or others. in fact the opposite. I was seeking therapy because I WANT to live longer and wrap my head around why I may not. At which point she lets out a sigh and says "well, we are only taking tele-therapy patients right now". So... I told her at the beginning that my interest was in-person therapy. She could have told me then that they were only taking tele-therapy patients. But, let's do benefit of the doubt. This was at most a 10 minute conversation as she was trying to end it quickly the whole time. Maybe she forgot that I had said that. A therapist that forgets what you said 10 minutes prior seems to me to be counterproductive for therapy. Or, maybe since she determined that I wasn't a harm to myself or others, she thought treating other patients over me was more worth her time. If that's the case, why would I have to play Olympics with other patients when it comes to my mental health? And on top of all of that.., there are MANY ways to get tell-therapy and online therapy completely free, no insurance needed. Why would I not just do that? If they are pushing tell-therapy or therapy over Skype or Zoom... it's a rip-off because you can't get it free. The truth is, I don't know why she treated me like this. But at this point, I just thanked for her time, and ended the conversation. In summary, it was my experience that the bedside manner of Healing Heart was terrible for people seeking mental health therapy. It's really hard for a lot of people (myself included) to even ASK for any kind of help in the first place. I was very surprised and saddened to be treated like this.
