They were great. We have a small yard and actually some companies didn't want to bother with a smaller job. Sarasota fence, although a busy company, treated us like we mattered. They communicated well, followed up after the job was finished to see how everything went and if we were happy with how it looked. We were very happy. The installation date stayed the same first of all and the price was reasonable. We ordered a black metal fence with 3 gates. It looks beautiful. The workman put fence post straight through the main water line going to septic tank and said nothing. After workmen left, used shower and the flood started from all the water being blocked and backing up into house!!!!!Carpet and cabinet damage in bedroom. Couldnt use water for THREE DAYS. Owner was very rude and unprofessional about paying/repairing the damage-/very different from when he came to give edtimate!! Absolutely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Worst ever! read more

I have been fortunate to find good local contractors. Recently a portion of our very old wood fence blew over and it was time for a new fence. I got some recommendations from family and friends. Called and got three estimates. When I called Sarasota Fence to set up an appointment I was told immediately that they would be able to come for estimate but that they were busy and if we chose them installation would be 4 to 6 weeks. After reviewing the estimates we chose Sarasota Fence. Sent the deposit and waited for scheduling. We got a detailed email that installation would be a certain week and what to expect with weather and location of underground utilities. The next email was that we were next and they would be there the next day. At 8:00am the next day they were here. They started disassembling the old fence and unloading the new. Finished in one day and looks great. read more

Gotta say that I was impressed by the profesionalism of the person answering the phone and the sales person that came to look at our property by the name ... After trying to keep costs down, we decided on a wood fence. When I asked if it was possible to have a lower price since a competitor gave me a price $300 cheaper for the same thing. His smug reply, and I quote, "Sorry, I'll have to pass. The best I can do is $*** let us know if you are interested. Thanks for the opportunity to serve you" We'll, I guess I'll go elsewhere even if it's more $ than them, based on principle alone. Funny thing was, all he had to say was "sorry, that's the best we can do". And I would've went with them since my wife and I already decided to go with Sarasota Fence. Maybe some sales and customer appreciation training would help. read more

I used Sarasota Fence to fence in a vacant lot that I own. The owner/estimator was professional and detail oriented. I asked him if his prices were competitive as I was going to do my due diligence and compare estimates. He agree that is what I should do, even offering a couple of names of respected companies like his. I found that useful and after doing my homework, selected Sarasota Fence to do the job. At first, the job seemed to stall because of some difficulty finding the property lines (unable to locate property parcel steel ground rods). After they located one which to their defense was well below grade and their metal detector was unable to pick up its signal, they had to dig down some and finally found it. After that initial issue it was smooth sailing with two men who were masters at their craft of fence building. I actually like the idea that they were focused on making sure that the property line was exact because that means that they are professional and that I won't have any boundary/property line issues in the future. I highly recommend this company and plan on using them again in the future. They are a busy smaller company, so please expect your fences to go up the same week. You will be put on a calendar and in queue for their next available installation. read more

Quick & Professional Service. OT gave me the BEST PRICE out of all my quotes. His installers were EXCEPTIONAL! I have a huge yard and needed gates on both sides. The installers lined up the posts EXACTLY EVEN down the whole back yard. They made sure to put the posts in super deep to secure them. We did 6ft sides with a 7ft back fence. They even went above my expectations when they agreed to put the fence all the way to the grass line so my dogs could not dig their way out! Took several days as the installers were meticulous.
