I recently had Freedom Fence do a vinyl fence repair after a recent hurricane damaged it. Once I approved it, no one called to set up an appointment. After talking to Jackson an appointment date was later scheduled by text (no time was given and without contacting me first). when I called the company I was told they would be there early, 8:30 or 9:00 am. at 11 I called, got no answer so I left a message. they arrive shortly after. He said it was an easy fix should be done within an hour. 20 minutes later I went out to see how he was doing and he was gone! Although I was told they would review the project with me before they left but they didn't. The fence was straightened and firmed up but I'm not sure what actually was done. I guess I'll have to for the next hurricane. Better communication is expected no matter the size of the job. read more

Mostly good but mixed experience here. Scheduling was VERY hard. I had a tenant in the house and requested that they communicate directly with the tenant, and that never happened. Jorge was very apologetic and helpful. The initial installation included a post that was wobbly, and we had to call to have them come back out to shore it up, which they did without hesitation. We're happy with the fence and just would have appreciated a bit more attention to detail with scheduling and installation. Pricewise - very competitive. read more

Unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience with this company. The day they were scheduled to come out up our aluminum fence, their truck had issues. They come the next morning and took all day to find out at 5pm they don't have enough resources to finish. They finally come the next afternoon and finished. 3 days to put up a fence, mind you only two sides since our neighbor already has a fence. We have a corner lot, our fence line is supposed to go to the middle of our home, this fence was only 1/3 in. According to their survey, it was ok. Their survey of the fence for our house was not shown to us, But our HOA allows for the middle of our home. We have called, emailed, texted, and no response or communication. We feel like we were a second hand job, and no attention was paid. At least a company can do is communicate effectively. Im sure they do great work elsewhere, but we didn't not have a pleasant experience. Hope this helps someone.. read more

Our experience with Freedom Fence Builders, LLC was stellar from setting a sales call with Jorge, who came out and discussed the kind of wooden fence we wanted, to him measuring our property as to where we wanted our fence, to him providing a very detailed quote the next day and to him handling the city permits; we felt we were in competent hands. Then our fence install was only a short wait and then we had a dedicated team (even in the heat and rain) of Elias, Nano, Elandio and the second day some additional team members who were all super nice guys with a lot of experience in building fences and problem solving. Installers started job Thursday 9/03 left early Friday for holiday weekend leaving my back yard and neighbors yard open for 5 days. Inconveniencing My neighbors and their dog. We were Not advised that our job was on hold for 5 days. Pics 1 and 2 show my wooden post was left in place and the new post installed behind it. The installer suggested I paint the plank to blend in. Photo 3 was the hole they dug and left til they returned 5 days later. Photo 4 was how they left the backyard.Photo 5 and 6 show how the 6 ft gate was installed to Only a post, Not connecting to newly installed fence. Photos 7, 8 and 9 show the replacement of a broken section of metal fence. The fence installed does Not match. Called sent technician to check out job at my request. 9/17 He took pictures and never got back to me. I reached out to the company weeks later. Was told was waiting for parts. When technician returned he fixed post covered with the wood plank Looks better. With the 6 ft gate all that was done was the first post which was left with open holes was replaced with solid post. The metal fence was turned around so the outside fence looked uniformed. The cement was removed when reversing the fence. The section was not cemented. As I told the office I would Gladly pay remainder of invoice when job was completed.. I was sent letter stating you haven't heard from me so you were sending paperwork to your lawyers for collection. I was expecting your technicians to return with the proper supplies and finish the job. The only thing I received was your letter! Please can you tell me how many gates have you installed to only a post? I have noticed other properties and haven't seen any done that way throughout the neighborhoods. All I ask for is to receive the products I paid for. I paid you in Full but an Unsatisfied customer. I have a metal fence panel which doesn't match and was not recemented after removing and replacing it . Installed a vinyl 6 ft gate which is held up with posts alone. Less than two years ago, we had a new fence installed by Freedom Fence as the old fence was sagging in. The fence itself was well done. Completely fabricated during the installation process and very strong. Ironically, the gate for the old fence was still viable, albeit drooping, so we were excited to get new gates that would work flawlessly. From the onset, we were not happy with the gate construction. We should have said something, and that is entirely my fault. We were leaving shortly after the install date on a trip, and it was one more thing to add to the list that was dropped and never revisited. The gates never met up properly, and the wood was split, there was no metal frame, nails were protruding, and it was a mess. However, it worked, and we were disinclined to complain at the time. Fast forward to a recent windstorm (not hurricane-related) and the bottom chunk of one of the slats blew off. As it turns out, there was a crack in the wood, and rather than replace it during the build, they stapled it together. I had it painted, and it was never noticed. The gate itself (double gate) warped to the point where it would not catch, or when it did it bent the latch. There was no second down drop put in place for the main gate, so during a strong wind, it whipped so much it bent the down drop on one side. During this last near miss of Idalia, the disjointed nature of the gate finally took its toll and ripped off the hinges. I called for a quote on properly crafted gate replacement. I did not expect it to be free at all, as I knew I was well beyond any guarantee. I simply thought they did such a great job on the fence, that the gate should be equally done. The quote came back at 18% of the cost for the entire fence and gates on both sides we had installed recently. Nearly 1/5 again to build a proper gate that should have been done the first time. Even the quote specialist was surprised when he found no drop-down on the gate. I might have thought that the company would want to make it right, or if they really don't want the limited work involved in fixing their error, then tell me that. I did not expect after such a short time, and after understanding first-hand by visual inspection the details that were missed, that the company would require 1/5 or the entire original estimate to fix something they should have done right, to begin with. I cannot give 1 star or even 2, as the fence portion, to the best of my knowledge, is sturdy and fine. I imagine this is more about disappointment in finding yet another company that doesn't stand behind its workmanship. I get it, it is entirely on me for waiting so long to even bring it up and until 'bad things occurred' - that is my fault. I guess with some contractors if you want it done right, you have to stand behind and watch, as opposed to trust. read more

Luke the owner is a nice guy, however, his crew was not equipped to build the type of fence I wanted. I showed Luke a picture of the fence that I wanted him to build. He said that his team could build it. Later, well into the project, he told me that they had never built a decorative fence. The workmanship is shoddy and not aesthetically pleasing. Despite they were the first coming over for an estimate and presenting a formal proposal, they didn't get the job done even when their quote was signed and accepted. It was through a short message under the excuse that another installer (Florida Fence) were not willing to provide them the parts needed and just abandoned it. I'm looking to see if what they did may have legal implications after a written formal proposal was presented and accepted. Hey this is not just about writing bad things in other people's businesses to save your reputation without evidence. The truth is you presented a quote, which I accepted, and a couple of day's after message me saying that you won't do the job you committed to because another business (Florida Fence according to you) which happens not to be either the fence manufacturer nor the manufacturer's exclusive representation for the area won't give you the parts. Then what you do? Facts speak by themselves. It's you who people should be careful to do business with. I'll really assess the legal implications of your breach of written quote signed and accepted and with Yelp for writing fake reviews on businesses that have no part in this.
