Got that? Among the coupons in the Consumer Pak that came in the mail was one for Saratoga Roofing. It said they also did siding in addition to roofing. I figured that might give them an advantage. I called, talked to a real person, and explained what my problem was. I was informed that their estimator, Oleg, would be contacting me to schedule a visit. I received the call from Oleg not more than 30 minutes later. He was able to schedule a visit later that same day. When Oleg arrived, we reviewed the work that needed to be done. Taking advantage of his presence and knowledge, I pointed out a less urgent problem with the soffit in a different section of the house, and a concern I had with some siding at a third location. He assured me that the two soffit problems could be fixed and that I did not need to be concerned about the siding issue. We then agreed upon a price to do the soffit repairs. I was next actually surprised to see that Oleg was prepared to do the repairs right then and there. He unloaded the necessary ladders, tools, and equipment to safely scale the garage roof and fix my major problem. With that section of soffit resolved he moved to the other side of the house and realigned and secured the other soffit. I can't be more pleased with the service, promptness, and work performed by Saratoga Roofing. Oleg was very personable and a pleasure to work with.

While this company's concierge service was decorating a local Saratoga house (as they do every…read moreyear) with mostly absent homeowners, one of the staff they employ to do the work was absolutely rude to a neighborhood of year round Saratogian residents. Using a lift crane to decorate their customers home they completely blocked the street for hours and yelled at the residents to "go around the block" and at one point even gave the middle finger to two of us. Rather than say "sorry for the inconvenience and would you mind going around temporarily", they chose to be extremely rude. I find this unacceptable for a company that touts themselves as "local".

Everybody's contractor experience is unique so please read my review with this in mind…read more We moved to Saratoga in 2009 and bought a "problem" home... a Victorian which had been carved into units by owners who had little regard for the integrity of the building. Our goal was to restore it to its original liveability as a single family home. Teakwood has a reputation as expensive and our initial bid, to do everything on a wish list, was pretty high. But they worked with us and a revised bid was significantly lower and we went with them. This bid entailed a clear-eyed distinction between "need to" and "nice to" improvements so we ended up with a price we were happy with. The quality of the work, both by Teakwood carpenters and their subs, is superb. Teakwood has a philosophy of assigning a master carpenter to oversee the job and our guy, Dan Decenzo, could not be better. Josh, the guy who did a number of built-ins, is a master of his craft and we now have benches and bookcases that look like they have been there 130 years like the rest of the structure. We were offered a 1 year satisfaction guarantee and I'm prompted to write because, well over 1 year after the fact, Dan has been back recently to fix a couple minor things. Bottom line, we are really happy with Teakwood and would definitely recommend you bid out your project to them.

When we started the project and were shopping around getting quotes, Caleb did a few things to stand out from the rest. 1) He was cuteous and on time (super easy to do, but not everyone we met checked this simple box) 2) He offered ideas and suggestions that we never would have come up with ourselves 3) He made it clear all his work would be up to code and that they don't skip steps 4) They did 90% of the work themselves (a team came for the carpets) 5) He quickly followed up with a clear digital quote with everthing spelled out so we could make adjustments where needed. We ended up paying slightly over estimate after learning we needed an extension for our electrical box. We didn't encounter many delays, I think the biggest was the first coat of paint. It didn't dry overnight, so that slowed down the next day. Throughout the build, they went above and beyond in a number of ways: - Seeding (and re-seeing), watering and even weeding the lawn - Caleb took us out to shop for slabs giving lots of great input and advice (and the kids got to play with some chickens at the site!). - They gave us detailed breakdowns of pros/cons when choosing all materials / vanitey / outlets / vents / etc (I would assume something like this was common, but after showing family the basement, we have heard how their contractors never gave any input or advice on any decisions). - They have their own dumpster for the materials but it was also extremely helpful to get rid of junk from our basement We have a list of things we plan to do in the future both inside and outside, and we are 100% going to Caleb. They had finished all the new sod and mulch and everything looked perfect when a storm came through and a tree fell right in the middle of the yard 2 days before the big party I had planned. Geff took care of everything and had the tree removed and cleaned up in plenty of time. I really appreciated Redbud's attention to detail, I have enough going on with my job and kids and it was nice that I didn't have to worry about anything on this project. I will be using Redbud again next year for a stone patio at my lake house.

We had our modular home built by Westchester Modular and then Saratoga Modular Homes, LLC, finished…read morethe home after it was delivered and set on the foundation. Saratoga Modular acted as our general contractor. We lived on Long Island while the home was being built and was commuting back and forth about every week or two. The home was finished in May of 2014. From Day 1 our master shower leaked into the basement. We brought it to Cecil Provost's attention multiple times over the course of 7 years. Cecil is the owner of Saratoga Modular Homes, LLC. He kept saying it was "bad" grout. He wanted to seal it with caulking. Not on my brand-new tile shower! Seven years later Cecil had his worker rip out the complete shower and re-build it. THE PAN WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY! Westchester Modular was responsible for the subflooring in the entire home. The wood floors on the first floor began to squeak after about 4-5 years. Westchester Modular was called in to make repairs. They came and added 2 columns and sistered some of the beams in the area of the squeaking. It did not solve the problem, and the squeaking has spread to the whole first floor. As I am writing this, we have a company in our basement sistering the beams to hopefully correct some of the squeaking. This is a major expense as well as a major inconvenience. All of the insulation has to be taken down as well as the in-floor heating elements and re-installed after the work is done. Our outdoor lighting fixtures by our garage were hung on the siding, not into the house itself. They were actually drooping. Good thing my husband was able to redo several of their mistakes. We have had to hire outside companies for the jobs my husband could not tackle. These are just 3 of the major headaches we have had to deal with. Cecil has reached out to me and promised that he is more than willing to work with us on any issues we still have. I am also willing to work with him as well. Don't get me wrong...we love our home and always get complimented on our house on the hill. All our problems are in the past and we are happy to be living in the North Country.

At no time did we feel the project was compromised for speed or price, even for those items that would never be apparent once walls were closed in. Some of the strongest attributes Schrader delivers include project logistics (the project never languished and it moved along rapidly with a high degree of coordination among high quality subs), cleanliness (the job site was never messy, at day end everything was cleaned up, dust remediation was outstanding, and the job site was always protected from the weather), and skill (the smallest details were completed with the highest attention to quality, joinery was not "fudged" with caulk). We would use Schrader and Company again and would highly recommend them for any home project regardless of size or complexity.

That went well too, and we have just hired him to replace a deck on our summer property and renovate a screen porch. We've had nothing but pleasant dealings with this outfit and recommend them wholeheartedly.

After finding what I thought was a miracle find this guy Stefanus(he lives 3 houses down from us) after several back and forth calls tells us he refuses to do the work? He says because we live in the same neighborhood and because our neighbors want us out (another scary neighborhood story for another day) he won't advertise being here out of fear of them turning against him? I let it go until it made me sick and disgusted knowing I live near a coward. So he turned away 10's of thousands of potential $ as well as taking that income from his family, all because of neighborhood bullies that offered no help when our property was ripped apart by other CONstruction companies. They all complained but nobody offered any help. Lots of drivebys and rubbernecking as well as neighbors walking by NOT looking and the town of NorthUmberland (Richard Collaso) fighting with our workers and causing our costs to sky rocket. Ol' Stefanus said he saw everyday when he drove by but this supposed great neighbor never offered any advice out of being neighborly. Years these neighbors saw what we went through by land grabbers attempting to steal 30ft+ Of our hillside even after we had it professionally surveyed 3 times and still were getting resistance. Stefanus was not professional and he definitely wasn't acting like a responsible adult. He recommended J2 design to get a quote. We had previously use them as well and proved to be terrible...
