This is a dishonest and unethical property management company. The month of April I began getting…read moresick from a mold issue inside the townhouse I rent from them, to the point of being unable to live there. I asked for help. Requested I move to another available unit. They took down the listings for the other available units and said I wasn't allowed to move either way, claiming they did not find a problem. The builder of these units said he needed to check behind the walls for mold as they never sealed the shower stall and that caused mold to grow up the wall. RK smith has since refused to acknowledge he said that and is simply saying they find no problem. I asked them to please refund the month of April and I would be out in 3 days, as I've already been out thousands between hospital bills and hotel stays. They declined, instead saying I can be out in 7 days and they will not penalize me. I did not agree to it as I've opted to find a legal route to deal with this because of how they've operated. They cancelled my payment without my consent and have essentially tried to push me out of the unit. I had to tell them to re set it up so I can continue paying. They had a lawyer reach out to me to say they're basically not liable and they find no problem and I can have another week to just get out. I have refused. This is an ongoing problem. I do not suggest renting from these people at all. They are not trustworthy and will use awful tactics if it comes down to it. Who can afford to fight these things while paying for a home they can't live in? They're using that against me and I have no doubt they've used it against others. There are honest good landlords, these people are not one of them.
