We had a dead battery at the bank parking lot in Ava, Missouri the first week of June 2026. We…read morecalled AAA (2nd call for help in 25 years of membership). We gave the information on our location, our description of our vehicle, our contact number and we're reassured that Ed's Towing were coming out within the hour of our call. We were able to track the tow truck via our cell phone which started at an ETA of 60 minutes. We watched on the cell phone that the time got closer to our location and when it said ETA of 5 minutes we thought help was on the way! After two of us in our 80's stood in the 89 degree weather along side our vehicle we NEVER saw anyone arrive to help! We were at a corner of the parking lot and could see in all directions! After we realized from our cell phone the driver got further away from us and was headed to some unknown location we had to find help elsewhere! By this time we were into this situation 1 hour 45 minutes! On the initial call to AAA the contact person assured us the tow truck driver WOULD HAVE OUR CELL NUMBER AND WOULD CONTACT US IF HE WAS HAVING TROUBLE FINDING US!
