We had an extensive remodel at our retirement home and Mike and his crew did a fantastic job. We…read moreentrusted him with all of it. Mike was always available to talk about our project and gave me the truth about what the repairs and upgrades would cost, as well as his professional opinion about color schemes. He was easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and courteous. We had several pieces of additional work, and Mike and crew integrated this additional work scope into the original work very well. I would highly recommend them for future work. Ken and Donna G. Prosser, WA

We highly recommend Cardenas All Around Construction & Remodel. We had been trying to find a…read morecontractor to fix our bathroom floor since last October 2020, when we noticed it was getting bouncy. We had four contractors come out to our home and check it out. We contacted two large companies, Zion in Pasco, and Clean Image Restoration, in Kennewick. Both said that the 5/8 press board that the previous contractor, [2015- 1st Choice Restoration] used was not meant for counter tops and NOT sub-flooring! Both of these businesses said they would send us a written estimate for our insurance company. They never have. Zion sent someone out twice, but never did send us an estimate. We dealt with a man there named Urbie. Our last text was terse on my end and he finally answered, saying he'd been sick. Apparently he couldn't ask anyone else to take over for him. I asked if he was so sick he couldn't speak or send a text? He didn't respond. I called our insurance agent to see if they knew of anyone else? He said they had used Clean Image Restoration, Kennewick, WA before, so we called them [contact was Doug]. Same results as with Zion. On December 14, after nocturnal trip to the bathroom, I fell through the floor. Bright and early the next day, we contacted Doug at Clean Image with this info and still no responses to this day. Finally, we were led to a man named Michael Cardenas. He came out right away [Feb.12, 2021] and looked the job over. He phoned the next day and told us how much his estimate was. He said he had a couple of jobs to finish, but would start our job on February 22nd. He estimated it would take a week to finish. He e-mailed a contract promptly, we looked it over and accepted it. Mike was here at 8am, on the 22nd and everyday thereafter, except for one, when he needed to pick up some supplies.. When we called, or texted him, he responded in a very timely manner. It really sent a message to us that, even though our job was small by comparison to other things he has done, our project was just as important to him. I'm elated to say that they finished our job on February 26th and our floor looks great! He and his assistant even put back our washer and dryer, though we hadn't contracted with him to do that. After the nightmare we've had with contractors' [going back to the 2015 nightmare that was 1st Choice Restoration in Kennewick] we were hunkering down for another round of headaches. But boy, were we ever pleasantly surprised! As I said before, we highly recommend Cardenas All Around Construction & Remodel them for their excellent communication skills, dependability, and first-rate repair and remodel skillset.

I was…read morenervous about fitting everyone and wanted to break down a wall to create an open layout between the dining room and the kitchen and install a new island. This was a last minute project but luckily a coworker referred them to me...my last name is Ellis so it felt like a sign (don't judge me). Not only was the project completed in time, and my space is completely transformed, but Tucker (the owner) asked if I wanted to install a sink in the new island and referred me to a specialist who came in and installed the plumbing simultaneously. I'm excited about my new adventure in a new town and will be utilizing Ellis Construction as I continue to build my dream home.

He worked on a Sunday to pretty much complete the job because he was hurrying to go on vacation the next day. The job was to install 100 sq feet of tile in my laundry room and the attached 1/2 bath. Unfortunately, he smeared tile adhesive on one freshly painted wall 20" above the floor. They appear to be handprints. Additional adhesive can be found above the baseboards. Once he left I ordered floor vent covers to match the baseboard color. There are 2ea 4" x 12". vents. Upon delivery I tried to install the vent covers only to discover that Tucker didn't measure before cutting the ceramic tiles and the resulting hole is too small the floor vents. I sent him an email asking to talk to me about the floor vent holes being too small. He didn't respond at all. A week later I left him a voice mail message and, again, he didn't respond at all. He apparently does not want to complete the job now that he has been paid in full. During the job he mentioned that he also does electrical and plumbing jobs. I asked if he was licensed in Washington for either the plumbing or electrical work. He said that he wasn't licensed but he didn't worry about it. I noticed that although he had been working in Washington for many months he still sported Oregon license plates. Apparently he is more than willing to break Washington State laws (electrical, plumbing and vehicle licenses) and also not provide customer service by finishing his work after being paid. Makes me wonder what shortcuts he will take on YOUR job.
