There were 2 SAS lounge entrances and I was not sure if the differences. This place was quiet when we were there in the morning serving hot and cold breakfast food. We enjoyed the amenities such as American style breakfast selections as well as your traditional European continental selections. Be mindful giving yourself extra time to go to your gate if you are flying to the US via United. The gate is a LONG walk and you have to go through both the passport control and the gate level final security clearance. I was able to cut the line with Premier status at the security clearance before the gate but it was nevertheless time consuming.

This review is for the SAS Business lounge (and Star Alliance Gold) which is slightly more upmarket and private than the SAS lounge side which has a brighter white on black look. Colors and decor are more opulent on the business lounge side and the service that bit more attentive. I was bored and peeked into the other lounge and found it more crowded and plain looking. Food and beverage was similar in both

Great views looking over the runways, and loads of different seating options. I recommend the almost lie flat comfy chairs all the way in the back, in the quiet zone. They have a decent salad bar, and four entree choices (salmon, potato salad, chicken skewers and tomato soup today). Hot, cold and hard drinks you might expect. Wifi is pretty good. All in all a nice place to take a break.

The SAS business class lounge in Stockholm was a nice space in which to spend an hour before the flight. There were plenty of outlet spaces, although no USB ports for charging. The bar area was self serve and it was nicely appointed. The buffet was average, nothing to right home about....basically good for a small snack. I had the grilled chicken breast pieces which were nicely cooked, but pretty bland. Beyond that there was salad, some hot cheese mini pies and plenty different breads and crackers. My personal favorite was the pretzel sticks. Overall, a decent lounge, but not in the same category as a United Polaris or Singapore Airlines Lounge.

The SAS lounge has gone through an extensive renovation and expansion and the results are actually pretty impressive. It used to be a but run-down and over-crowded. Now they have expanded the Scandinavian lounge with plenty of seating which eases the over-crowding in the Business lounge as well. By all the seats there are a lot of available usb-charging and regular power outlets everywhere as well as of course free wifi. The main improvement is the space and the nice design. The food is decent, to be a European lounge it is actually pretty good. Especially the breakfast selection is good with sandwiches, eggs, porridge, yogurt, fruit, juices, smoothies, fresh fruit as well as coffee and tea of course. At other times of the day there is usually soup, a variety of cold food and some sandwiches and fruit as well as the occasional hot dogs. There is a standard assortment of alcoholic beverages available as well. Newspapers and magazines can be found and the selection is pretty good. There are also computers available for those who want to use them. They have also upgraded the toilets so these are now new and they added showers that can be booked. They still could have added more toilets as there is almost always a line but the improvement is clear and it is now better than the lounge in Copenhagen.

We were at ARN a few times flying in and out for Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen flights, and when…read moreyou're flying direct which no baggage ARN is great. Arlanda terminal 5 is incredibly easy to get dropped off at. The kiosk is right next to the door. You print out your ticket and especially if you have no checked baggage, it's an incredibly quick process to get to your gate. But if you have a connecting flight on a separate airline ARN is a very difficult airport to fly out of. The kiosks won't take your confirmation number and you won't have your ticket number, so you'll have to use your passport and if you have multiple people in your party, you can't add them in at the kiosk, you have to go though the process one by one, for every single passenger, filling out all the documents as you go. Each person takes about 4-5 minutes to check in. They do have a checked bag drop but it's entirely, and I mean entirely, self service. You put your bag tags on, load the luggage on the belt, and scan the baggage yourself. I'd never seen anything like it and I would advise adding in a solid hour of time if you're checking baggage and flying out, especially for multiple people. All in all, the shops at ARN and the terminal itself were quite nice, it's primarily just their baggage process that's not great.

I had zero trouble getting around the layout is really easy to follow, and nothing felt confusing or overwhelming, which is a BIG plus when you're traveling. Lowkey I was excited to get my passport stamped but unfortunately they didn't stamp it lol not a dealbreaker, just something I was looking forward to. Getting in and out of the airport was super convenient. The taxi and Uber pick-up area is literally right when you walk out, so you're not wandering around trying to figure out where to go. Huge win. Baggage claim was also super quick and easy no long waits, no chaos, just grab your stuff and go. And when it was time to head back home, the process was just as smooth. TSA/security was actually really nice and friendly, which you don't always get at airports, so that definitely stood out. Overall, this airport made traveling feel stress-free. Everything was efficient, clean, and well-organized. Easily one of the best airport experiences I've had!

My flight got switched and I stayed here because I was early for the next one out. Was greeted by someone who looked at my pass and gave me the third degree about being here too early. Trust me, honey: being stuck at Arlanda airport at the crack of dawn, lugging my oversized bags on two hours' sleep after a late taxi and a midwinter snowstorm, was not in today's master plan. Lucky for this reviewer, reception was accommodating, so long as I didn't stay longer than 3 hours. She promised to let me know when it was time to gtfo. Overall impression: dingy, dirty, dorm room decor that looks cute from about a mile away, but is shabby and uncomfortable. Upon entry, it feels like a scam: like Donald Trump evicted some cute, little old lady from her home, demolished it, then put up a sleazy casino overnight using cheap labor and bad contracting. Nobody got paid. At the table adjacent to me, men descended from Vikings try to sit comfortably in furniture made for dolls. Their knees bump the table while they attempt to conduct business in a dignified manor. Their burly fingers get stuck in the handle of cheap IKEA coffee cups. A shitty plywood table becomes the thin veneer between chaos and civilization. They're just one indignity away from burning and pillaging this place to the ground. A part of me wishes they would. Food was downright terrible, with a breakfast consisting of processed cheese and school lunch meat. Worn carpet and crumbs everywhere create for an unappetizing environment. Sorta-clean utensils and plates and cups make you want to close your eyes, look the other way, and hope your travel vaccinations are still good. The biggest mystery of my visit was the orange juice -- possibly the worst I've ever tasted. It looks like OJ, but it's so completely watered down that it tastes almost entirely like water. Barely even a hint of acidity. It's possible they added coloring because I have no idea how something can look that orange, yet taste like just like water. Used the espresso machine and as the shot was poured, swore I saw something dirty and questionable. I decided to believe it was my imagination, or fool myself into thinking that the steam would magically kill off whatever germs were still in the cup. It wasn't fantastic coffee, but not undrinkable. The only pleasant surprise of this stay. Too bad the machine was coated in sticky milk and hadn't been cleaned since the Middle Ages. Odd chirping and cicada-like sounds coming through the sound system. I think they're intentionally piped in to add some special "nature" effects to the living wall. They might have contributed to the atmosphere in a comfy setting. However, since I'm currently seated in furniture designed for a minimum security prison, starting to feel a little paranoid. This might be an experiment in insanity. I'm afraid to go into the bathrooms. Sam and Frodo came back from Mordor once, and I'm not confident anyone can twice cheat the odds.
