VERY UNPROFESSIONAL*** I have used Sather's Insurance for many years off and on. Most recently my son got into a car accident, he called to file a claim, He spoke with Troy who assured him he would take car of it. Three whole weeks later when he finally had his deductible saved he called the insurance company to the claims department to find out the claim had never been filled. Once again we reached out to Troy to get the claim filed That's when we come to find out that somehow we got on this cheap insurance that wont even cover the damages. We get told we can buy used parts from a junk yard to fix the damages. I mean this is not what I want to hear about my sons brand new 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer after paying tons of money for our full coverage insurance. Then after that second issue was that my husband needs to carry an SR-22 on file. I received a letter from DMV stating that his license was going to be suspended due to not being having an SR-22 on file so I called Troy and he assured me that his license wouldn't be suspended and that the SR-22 was on file and once again he would take care of it. One month later we went into the DMV to take care of some business and come to find out my husbands license has been suspended. So We called Sather's to see what had happened, was told by troys mother the owner of Sather's that "oh no your license is not suspended" when we are at the DVM being told yes it is. Had to call my insurance company myself to have them send over the SR-22 because Troy was out and too busy to handle us. I also had to pay a $50 reinstatement fee to get my husbands license back. After handling everything myself I get a call from Troy being very rude and short telling me he had a copy of the SR-22 after me telling him I already handled it he proceeded to vent to me about how he can't even leave the office without being called back and how he shouldn't have taken that vacation to Vegas. I mean how unprofessional. So that's when my husband and I decided to change insurances. Since we signed a new policy; I called Sather's to have them cancel the policy I got told "oh ya troy was so sad he lost you and I heard that he was taking care of the cancellation". Two days later my husband calls the actual insurance company to find out if it had been cancelled. The insurance company then told us they have not recieved anything stating that we wanted to cancel out policy. So they did a three way call to Sathers and before knowing my husband was on the line the owner (Troys mother) at sathers started to bad mouth my husband to the lady at the insurance company. So once she finds out my husband is on the phone she tells him you have to come in to sign some paper work to cancel. I mean really they never said anything about that to me when i called to cancel. So when we go to Sather's to sign the paper work it is just so different. the usually happy to see us employees were all super quite not even a hello. My three old son who always comes with us is treated like he isn't even there when he is the most social butterfly and has no idea what is going on. We get told that he already purged our file and so our motorcycle insurance that we also have through them seperatly we need to sign a cancellation paper for too. when we are paid up for another couple months they want us to post date the form so they don't have to pull our file out again. I mean who knows what they did with our file. It makes me sick to think about it. So here we are over a month later and I get a letter in the mail from the insurance company saying balance due? What? I cancelled the policy....so i call the insurance company and get told that they never received any paperwork for the cancellation. I mean really! I am just so upset with how my family has been treated by Sathers and how unprofessional they reacted with our cases. read more

I must say that when I started with trying to find a insurance agency at 16 it wasn't easy. My family didn't want to aid me by putting me on there insurance so I was forced to call around until a company would say sure. Moreover, everyone I called denied me because I was under the age to sign a contract binding me to them and they requested a ridiculous amount of $130 a month. Well finally I got someone at AllState willing to help me and they sent me to Sather's... Well I have been with them for 2 years and trust me I don't regret a moment of being with them, they respect me as a customer and are willing to engage and help me with any problems throughout my time with them. One of the best Insurance agencies that anyone can ask for in Ventura, trust me if you have a teenager who needs insurance go to them and ask for anyone there. SAVE YOUR SELF SOMETIME -*** The customer service is horrible....... Had insurance there for about a year before they noticed they miss quoted us then all the sudden it went up $ 900 it took us almost 3 months to get our money back and Judy (which is the owner ) blowed us off for weeks never returned calls at all after she said she would check and call us back after about a month ( SEVERAL HOURS ) she said that we was not getting a refund because we cancelled our policy then she said that Murcery did not get the paper work and she had to resend it ..at this point I got Murcurys phone number and got the refund that she could not seem to do she said she was so busy she did not have time . NEVER CALLED ME BACK ONE TIME I AWAYS HAD TO CALL HER SOOO CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS Miss quoted and I had to do all the work it was around $300 BTW . Go to a bigger corporation were the OWNER don't answer the phone pretty sure they are cutting corners and can't affords a qualified receptionist!! GO SOME WERE ELSE /UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO MANAGE YOYR OWN ACCOUNT OR NEED A 2ND JOB !!!! GOT my money back thanks to me and persistence it don't grow on trees ...But if I had of listened what Judy (the owner ) said (I don't think she even checked or even cared she got paid and she was to busy with other customer complaints) I would of got.
