Growing up, I always knew who our insurance agent was because my parents met via a blind date, set up by a friend that was a State Farm agent. So of course when I obtained my drivers license at age 16, I was added to my parents policy. When I moved out, and gained my independence I was able to obtain my own policy. Following an unfortunate accident in 2003, I lost State Farm as my carrier and would soon learn the value of having this insurance company. Fast forward approx. 20 years, I had been using Progressive and was not happy with the rates or the customer service. I decided to try again with State Farm, and after going through the application process online, I was once again with State Farm. A few weeks later Ryan Charlon, the agent of record reached out to make an appt to go over my policies, and ensure I had all the information regarding coverage, price, and all the other products that were available to me. They have a local office. I can go in anytime to talk with someone if needed. I know they have my back. We were in a complicated situation and wanted to sit down and actually speak with someone to explore our options for a new auto policy rather than getting quotes online or over the phone. We saw the great Yelp reviews for Ryan and his team and made an appointment through Angel who was very courteous. She was extremely accommodating, scheduling us within 2 days, and squeezing us in at a later time to work around our working hours. We actually met with Tasha and explained our situation. She was professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental which eased our anxiety over our situation. She walked us through everything in great detail. Tasha was so patient with us while we tried to understand and digest all of our options. We had a lot of questions and she never once made us feel foolish for asking them, even when we asked the same questions twice. Tasha prepared us for what to expect and gave us the worst case scenario. What we didn't expect was that the underwriting process would be completed in 2 business days when we were prepared to wait 2 weeks for their final decision. I had State Farm when I first was licensed as a teen and I am so glad to be back with them. Their customer service and professionalism is still the same 20+ years later. I love that they have an office in town and agents that we can actually speak with in person...the way customer service used to be! There is so much comfort in knowing that they are physically available. On a side note, I called the office on our way to our appointment just to make sure the office address I had was correct. It went to voicemail. Not a minute later, Ryan called me back based on my caller ID and not knowing who I was, and apologized for missing my call and asked how he could help.
