    Bee ride
    Theresa A.

Wow! I was thoroughly impressed with this place. It's $15 per adult and kids are free and there is a lot to do for all ages. We have a toddler, and spent time on the bouncy thing, the playground and then a bee ride around the farm. They also had a corn kernel pit, similar to a ball pit that was great for little ones. They had 2 different sizes in the event you have really young kids. They had carnival games, like skeeball and a few other things that were fun. Also so games for older kids/adults. You can buy all sort of snacks, popcorn, etc., similar to a fair, and then of course doughnuts, etc. The Corn maze itself is no joke. I thought we were going to just wonder around and then eventually make our way out. Not what happened! We got pretty lost and had to pay attention to the map, and did eventually make our way out. So much fun, definitely get there early as it got crowded!

Top notch operation here. I am never disappointed with their produce. Looking to buy into the CSA next year.

I was excited to know that if I miss that one during the week many of the same venders come here with a few other exciting venders too. They make great use of the fairgrounds for the winter market. When you come you can check out a lot of antique tools and machinery used back in the gold ol days. All the venders are happy to educate you on their products and how to use them. They have recently brought in a few more local organic farms as well. Please go and support our local farmers for your health and the well being of the birds, bees and live stock near us.

You can't beat the ease of ordering online earlier in the week and picking up on Saturday. All of the people working there are so friendly and helpful. The vegies are organic, incredibly fresh, and beautiful! When lettuce was in season I often took a photo of the heads because they were so huge! I also adore the baked goods from the gluten and dairy free bakery. I can't make it out of the parking lot without trying their treats! They're amazing. We are so lucky to have this available to us on the south shore. Give it a try to support our local farmers and businesses.

Rounding up "farm stands on 6A near Yarmouth Port" during this, the Christmas Tree buying season…read more My Mom's had the Cape Cod Organic CSA for a couple of years, then dropped back to buying a la carte. The produce here is excellent, best-of-breed for fresh and local on the Cape as far as we've experienced, and I do think we've tried every stand that there is or has been over the last fifty years (we remember when there were cows on farms on 6A). The only knock we have on CCO Farm is the usual issue for organic produce: it's pretty expensive. The CSA box was less so but we ended up having more wastage per pound of produce, and the season is just very short up here, to be sure. There's a big plus though that where the stand is is literally adjacent to the food they're growing for you, and the ownership seems very responsible. Bonus Christmas Tree info: they sell balsams / firs for $40 flat rate, mostly taller trees, in good shape and fresh enough, with some wreaths, but on two visits to attempt to buy one this year, we waited around for 15 minutes and nobody showed up to help us or take our money, so we took a pass and went down the road to Cape-Abilities. FWIW.

Leading to the fact that they have an excellent selection of pork products. Fantastic breakfast sausage, great kielbasa and Italian sausage. The staff is friendly and helpful. As others have mentioned, it is a bit pricey. But, you know where the food is coming from and it is organic. Worth it to me. Buy fresh buy local.

The quality and variety of produce is great, too. As others mentioned, there are plenty of foods you may not have bought in the market. That encourages one to be more adventurous in cooking/eating habits, and I've developed storage/preserving skills. The local farms that supply Shared Harvest are superb growers. They are Riverland, Cider Hill, and Picadilly Farm. The operation of the CSA is pretty smooth; you pay ahead, pickup your produce, and there are optional extra items you can order in advance (cheese, apples, maple syrup, etc). Brief weekly emails keep you informed of ordering deadlines and what you got in your share.

Most CSA shareholders buy their shares months in advance, to give the farmers income when they need to buy seeds and equipment. You don't just show up at a CSA distribution and expect to get a share! It's like walking into Fenway during a playoff game and expecting to get tickets. Anyway, I like Shared Harvest CSA because of the variety and amount of veggies. Unlike some winter CSAs, Gretta doesn't have to fill out the share with lots of jam or cheese from other producers (though you can order all sorts of goodies to pick up at the share distribution). We got apples, carrots, squash, cabbage, greens, lettuce, potatoes, popcorn, beets-- all kinds of stuff, and lots of it! I had plenty for my family of five. It was *completely* worth it.
