I see them hold dance parties with the kiddos often. I love how the school have many events (fire truck day, police day, puppet show, music together, bubble show, xmas photoshoot, petting zoo, etc). Teacher Tala (preK) was very knowledgable and my son learned so much from her preK class. My son was well ahead in his Kindergarten class thanks to the learning he had in the preK class. It was such a great experience. Will send my 2nd one there when I have another one :)

The teachers are all so warm and friendly, and give a lot of attention and love to the children. We found it difficult to find quality daycare particularly for infants in this area, and were so happy to find CG (through word of mouth from other happy parents). From day 1, we have always felt so confident in the care he received at CG. We loved receiving photo updates every day and have appreciated that there always seem to be new toys cycled in. CG also plans special days for the classes, bringing in petting zoos, bubble play, firemen etc. We have only left due to moving from the area, but wish we could have stayed!

Nana and Athos have created a warm, nurturing, home-like environment that strikes the perfect balance between structure and play. The days are filled with activities that support curiosity, confidence, and development, while still feeling cozy and personal rather than institutional. What really sets Nana's apart is the level of communication and partnership. Nana is thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely collaborative with parents. She took the time to understand our child's needs, coordinated seamlessly around appointments, and always kept us informed. We felt listened to, supported, and fully trusted her with our son's care. It's obvious how much love and intention goes into everything they do. Our child was happy, well cared for, and truly known -- which is all any parent can ask for. Nana's Day Care feels like an extension of our family, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a nurturing, high-quality, in-home daycare in Marin.

Nana and Athos are caring, attentive, and very knowledgeable about early childhood development. They provided wonderful support around developmental milestones and transitions, always offering thoughtful guidance tailored to our child. Our daughter grew into a confident, emotionally aware toddler and transitioned smoothly into a larger daycare afterward. Nana runs a well-organized, thoughtful program, and we highly recommend Nana's Daycare to any family looking for a trustworthy and loving environment.

We started in October, so she joined after the beginning of the school year, but she adjusted so quickly. Now, after about seven months, she literally runs into school giggling to see her friends at drop-off. She is also speaking French at home, which has been such a surprise for us. Her teacher, Ms. Florine, is fantastic, warm, engaged, and clearly wonderful with the children. The owner, Ambi, is also incredibly kind and thoughtful, and you can feel how much care has gone into creating this program. One of the things we love most is how many special activities the children have each week. Mondays are cooking, which my daughter LOVES. Tuesdays are music with a special instructor, Wednesdays are ballet/dance, Thursdays are Gym Bus, and Fridays are sports with Coach April. The weekly themes are also so sweet and engaging. Last week, they learned about caterpillars turning into butterflies, and their art projects tied into that theme. The campus itself is truly beautiful. It is on gorgeous land with so much open, sunny outdoor space for the kids to play. There are horses, turkeys, rabbits, and other wildlife, and the children even get to feed and play with bunnies on campus. The school building is also lovely and very well-kept. If you are considering a preschool in Marin, I highly recommend visiting LPJ San Rafael. It is such a special place, and from speaking with other parents, many of us feel grateful to have found it for our children.

I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a French immersion preschool program (but also totally fine for non-French speaking parents). Some thoughts: - The teachers are excellent, highly qualified, warm and consistent - There is enriching special extra programming throughout the week (gym bus, music, dance, cooking, art) to broaden kids' horizons. This is on top of the regular curriculum taught throughout the year. - The class sizes were great - small enough to feel like the teachers could give our son dedicated attention if/when he needed it and big enough so that he had a good number of friends to play with. - The communication between the school and parents was always transparent and warm, and we got plenty of updates on how our son was doing. Ambi and her team are very well organised. It's always a nerve wracking thing to entrust other people with your kids, especially when it's your first, but we always just felt so comfortable with LPJ. You can tell how much the staff care about the littles, and how much the kids learn and grow when they're there. For reference, our son attended LPJ for two years - first as a part time/half day kiddo in the Piaf (age 2) class, and then full time in the Hiboux (age 3) class. Thank you LPJ for the amazing community you've built and for creating such a wonderful place for littles.

Previously the boys were at a home daycare, and with the four year old soon to be heading to Kindergarten it was important to us that they be placed closer to home and in a preparatory environment. Robin's Nest did a fantastic job of getting us all acquainted with the school by inviting the kids and parents in to visit before their full-time status began. They have a large selection of toys, puzzles, dress-up, building items, and books. The list goes on and on. Parents do need to pack all lunches, as well as feed children breakfast before school. If pretzels or goldfish aren't preferred, you are able to provide something else for the kids' snack times. They have outdoor playtime from 8:30 - 9:30 A.M. and the boys love to get dropped off during this time. It allows them to start running around right away. The sign-in and pick-up process is straightforward and each child has a cubby of their own. No candy allowed in lunches and they are supportive teachers to parents too. As a single-mom I'm often running around and keeping tabs on every little thing. With the two boys always in tow, I found it relieving when the boys' teachers ask the kids to start cleaning up and collecting their things to help. It empowers the kids and helps mom or dad tremendously. My boys joined the three year old class and the four year old class. With the four year old heading of to Kindergarten, the school has done a great job talking about and preparing for that change. Key things loved by the boys include: Their friends! Share time (four year old class) Circle time Reading Free art or gifts and pieces for the home Exploring the alphabet Brian the Science guy (who brings hand sanitizer, Ball Pythons, and a slew of geckos and lizards and such) Happy Feet Soccer Joy of Dance Ballet Panda Bear Gymnastics Both of my boys nap daily, which Robin's Nest offers. I would highly recommend this school to any parent who works full-time and needs the year round support only a hands-on daycare could offer. The teachers have done a good job at alerting me to any great behavior, issues, special needs, or general information about the school programs and their monthly changes. They also offer a paid lunch day (you pay, they provide a main dish) and special appreciation days for Mother's/Father's Day.

All these cute thoughtful things that usually a mom notices but no one else unless they are very close to the child. Being a 9 to 5 working mom and already feeling guilty for not being with my first born during the day, these cute observations let me feel what my son experienced each day. It was amazing that the teachers were so caring to each individual child and NOTICED everything they did. Snacks and nap times were perfect and they were very accommodating with some special meals I had for him. Also, though we were late a few times picking my son up (we used to commute from the city), whatever teacher left to care for him, was never put out and still took the time to tell us about my son's day. We also met the founders Rob and Cindy a few times and they are the most caring couple I know and truly care about the parent's input. Anyway, happy fond memories. My son is still great friends with some of the kids from preschool to this day!

Ava and I had never been separated for more than a few hours since she was born, and I was very wary about letting her out of my sight. After a few months, I decided to hold off until the right situation arose. One day when we were at a neighborhood park, I struck up a conversation with a woman, who turned out to be daycare provider. She was friendly and genuine, and I immediately trusted her. Within two weeks, my daughter was in her program three days a week. Ava was in Debbie's care for a year and a half, until she entered preschool. Whenever I picked her up, she wanted to stay longer, even after a 9 hour day. Never once did I worry about her because I knew she was loved, respected, and taken care of. Debbie is personable, flexible and a great communicator. What started as one day a week at her in-home daycare quickly became two and then three, because our son loved being with her, she loved having him and I never once had worries or concerns while he was was there. From the daily activities to the peacefulness of her beautiful garden, I knew that our son was getting the opportunity to play and discover and learn from other children while being nurtured and disciplined when necessary. He built friendships there that are stronger than those he has made in pre-school and he still responds with a resounding yes if we ever ask "Do you want to go to Debbie's?" If he could have stayed until kindergarten, he would have. I can highly recommend Debbie, and her daughter Chelsea and can only hope that they have space in 4 months when our second little one turns one!
